It was so close that I feel like that they should release both or repolled. I don't want summoning to change the combat system like it did when it came out on RS3, which no one wants that, it's what led ultimately up to OSRS being created because everyone left the game. But there is a way to re-do it without it doing anything to combat levels or adding in some of the things that changed combat and pk'ing and all that.

Adding both would have been good. It is still something that can be done in the future but it will need revamped to fit better to OSRS style.

Ya I mean like I said I don't want the combat levels to change, that would be just awful. When it changed on the old game it instantly no longer felt like the Runescape I knew, and it obviously did to so many others because in that one single move they lost half of their player base and never recovered from it until they brought OSRS out. OSRS is early 2000s Runescape but also has become its own thing, and I think it could easily incorporate summoning the way it should have been done the first time around. I don't know what all that would involve but I know a huge part of that would be of course not changing combat levels and changing what some of the summoning animals would do. The skill itself wasn't that bad to train, albeit expensive, so is construction, so that's not really an issue.

126 combat level is a staple of OSRS. To change it, wouldn't be OSRS anymore and yes this is why the largest portion of players quit, followed by EOC officially changing RS2 into RS3. RS3 has its charms for more people like P2W, easy leveling, better graphics, but is not what we all grew up playing which is why OSRS has this much larger player base and more effort I feel is put into the teams that working on OSRS. Sailing will keep with the OSRS theme but I agreeing in that OSRS is not RS2 2006 anymore it is now a life of its own lol.

I get so lost on RS3 now lol.. I know some of the areas haven't really changed except for graphics but the graphics have changed SO MUCH that I have little to no clue where I am. Even the GE looks weird to me  Though I did manage to find it when I was on there, but not without looking at the map 100 different times XD At least OSRS has the high detail thing on Runelite too, which I love playing on it when it's on the Autumn vibe setting. Something about that feels so cozy and reminds me of when I played more as a kid in the Fall with the windows open and there was a big tree outside my bedroom window and I would be gaming after school with the nice Fall breeze coming through the window, the way it smelled, okay I'm being cheesy but it really makes me think of that time.

Some parts of the map have been entirely updated and new buildings or things added. The layout is not the same as we remembered so it is understandable how you would get lost  I use the Autumn setting too I think you know that lol but yes I agree it's because of the nice vibes it has playing with this setting. Also the brightness down and seeing the lights flickering.

I have to have the brightness all the way up because you know I'm like blind as a bat half the time lmao I love the way the lights look on the darker mode though and I WISHHH I could play that way sooo much, but the brightness wins so I can actually see what I'm doing better

Darker mode appeals to me more on RS, but I can also see it without any problems. Have you seen how the investigation into Deadman Mode cheating went? If you didn't-

I didn't see it  but I saw on like.. everywhere lol.. Twitch/Twitter/Insta/FB about all the cheating that people believed people were doing. Honestly though everytime DMM comes out it seems like that's ALL people do every year since real money is the prize for winners. Even though I'm sure Jagex is investigating into it I don't really feel like all of it ever gets caught or looked into either. I mean that one year that Jagex employee who was running from the cops and fled to South America with like all that money had rigged DMM I believe, if I remember right, in order for his clan to win all the cash LOL

I remember that and I think still he lives in Brazil to avoid the cops catching him but I also heard a rumor he was brought back to London so not sure since it's not something anyone will discuss lol. They banned a lot of people for cheating, still people were doing it in ROT where this mod originally came from, but every year with ROT seems the same. Even this year the person ranked #5 overall in the game was banned.

I know they keep most of the bans hush-hush but yeah, I read that some dude in the top scores got banned. I also read they banned over 140 accounts permanently over DMM cheating this year @.@

DMM every year is rampant for cheating. In past years it was harder to catch this and this year there was new methods to catching it and many people got ban hammered that thought they get away with it lol.

It's also kinda ridic with the way it's usually the same people every year .-. ROT being notorious for cheating/winning. I dunno I use to be into DMM even wanting to get involved in it myself but it seems pointless because people team/clans team/cheating/etc. I'll just continue on chop chopping my trees minding my own business on the road to 99 woodcutting

I don't get involved in DMM either but I watch it only. Some of the drama is funny to watch with the players.

The drama I do find a lil funny and interesting. Some of the streams get wild lmao ~ but as far as getting involved in the drama myself, no thanks.

Yeah him & Dan both got one almost one right after the other lolll I was like, where is mine  I sold my D Claws some time ago but I kinda miss having them. Overall though I just had them for FashionScape and then once I got my T-Bow I never wore them anymore anyway

They are still good for a lot of things, TOA, Thermy, Cerberus, Sire, using in slayer tasks. This is why the price keeps going up.

See I don't really do bosses that much lol ~ I mean I was learning TOA, but I never did the others. I have done Cerb on my other account way back in the day but honestly it's been so long that I don't even remember how to do that.. lol

If you aren't doing those or planning to do them really not much of a point to own it. Unless you use for slayer. I don't think you do a lot of slayer anymore either lol. Didn't you get 80 slayer?

Boiiii I WISH it was at 80 lollll then I could forget about it for awhile... The only skills I don't have at 80 still are slayer, thieving, runecrafting, and agility. I just got 77 agility today, slayer is at 75, runecrafting is at 73 and thieving is at 77. I figure I'm going to do agility/thieving to 80 in the next weekish, slowly, lol ~ cuz that'll be the easier of them to do. Then prolly go back to alternating between slayer/RC because I just want every thing at base 80s. Mostly everything is in the 90s too at this point except these skills but I'll be happy with them at the 80s range for now x.x

For some reason I thought I remembering seeing 80 slayer on your account but it must have been something else  Or maybe I was just remembering you saying that 80 was the goal and thought you reached it already. Thieving should be the most easiest to do in these but I think Agility is pretty chill. Agility was always one of my favorite skills and one of my first 99s. I guess for me it requires no thought process and therefore easy just the mindless clicking.

If you wanna get on my account and do 80 slayer please by all means, feel free LOL I'm not really close to it, even if it is just 5 levels. Slayer seems to drag for me and I think it's prolly my most hated skill. It does let me train my range which is my only non-99 combat skill right now so for that reason I was kind of wanting to do it and not feeling as awful about the grind as usual but I also hate range so it's like combining my 2 least fave things

I bet you would like that wouldn't you?  I barely finished to 99 slayer on my main account.. that was a long time. I did the slayer skill alongside with combat and leveled it this way, since you are already 126 max combat and max combat stats, then there is only left to range lol. I remember when we did thieving at the 99 thieving party I had to. This seems like forever ago now.
