Sakura's Christmas Sig Tutorial

Thank you, my friends. ^^ ^^ ^^ ^^ ^^ It was surprising how the Christmas hat seemed to fit Kaiba's render tbh. I wasn't even sure if it would be convincing enough to look like he was really wearing it. lol I figured blue and white would fit a Kaiba Christmas sig though after I stumbled across some white Christmas tree renders at that pngegg.com website that @Sakura mentioned. I ended up bookmarking it. ^^ ^^ ^^ ^^ ^^ Oh, but the ornament renders I used were the same ones that @Sakura used except I adjusted the Hue to change the color of the ornaments themselves to blue. I did the same thing with the other decorative render. I spent so much time looking for blue ornament renders at that website, but I didn't find any that I thought would go well with the sig, so I eventually just changed the colors around in those 2 renders around the frame. Thanks for making your resources available on imgur btw, li'l sis'~~ ^^ ^^ ^^ ^^ ^^ I managed to find a Christmas hat that had a kind of anime look to it, but it was red, too, so I changed that to blue as well. XD I found the digital snowflakes pic on that Pixabay website I use and I knew as soon as I saw it that it would be a good fit for a pic in a frame featuring Kaiba. ^^ ^^ ^^ ^^ ^^ I also found another frame I thought would go well fitting inside of the ice frame which is the frost looking frame inside of the ice frame, so I figured why not add it as long as the text can still be read. ^^ ^^ ^^ ^^ ^^  I sometimes forget how easy it is to change the colors around in an image with an image editor though. I'm grateful that Photopea is free, that's for sure. ^^ ^^ ^^ ^^ ^^ Though I do wish an internet connection wasn't required to use it.

PNGEgg is an awesome site, I get most of my renders/PNG's there.

I always change color of things with hue/saturation too when I don't like whatever color it originally is, so that it can match whatever I'm making better lol ~

PNGEgg is indeed a great place to get renders and PNGs, I've grabbed quite a few from there.

My attempts to change the colours of things don't always work out though, I think I must be missing a trick or two in that area.

Color changing tutorial

The above link is a quick video on how to do it, this is the process I follow. It breaks it down and explains how several other functions work for beginners to the process too, including how to select a single object on a background.

Another tip/trick if you don't want to follow that process is to try the following-
Duplicate the layer of the item you want to change the color on. Use hue/saturation color change on the duplicated layer and erase the parts that changed that you didn't want to change. The parts you erase will show the original layers colors underneath. You can also mess with the color mixer and color balance of the duplicated layer to change colors.

Thank you the link and the tip/trick. I'll investigate those when I've got a bit more time to study them carefully.

The video she posted is pretty detailed with how to do it and make it look really good. Usually I do it the second way she mentioned with making a duplicate layer ~

Then you should try it since that's the purpose of it.

I make art in different ways. I choose not to post it here. But I love your artistic gifts.

That reminds me, I'd done another following this tut I need to post. I'll edit this tonight and post it when I'm home :v

EDIT -

snu83wL.png

I didn't know it was so large until I realized my canvas was scaled to 66% the entire time on PS, I never noticed until I uploaded it sssjskdkjs oh well

That looks amazing. All the renders and PNGs blend together really well, I like the colours too.  I don't know why we are so concerned about size, it's not as if we're actually going to use some of the GFX we create as a sig.

I was a little concerned with the size in this case because I was wanting to make a small PNG tag but ended up with a giant canvas because of my oversight 🤣

Yeah the size is large if we are talking terms of signature, you could classify it as a banner/large art though ~ but yeah basically as @Animedragon said the size is fine unless you planned to use it somewhere. Tchh size don't matter girl 😏 It's how you USE it ahaaaaa okay I'll see myself out now X.X

It may not be Christmas anymore but the way you've explained this tutorial makes me thing I could try it and actually do it. Thank you for posting it. If I make an attempt I will post the results whether good or bad.

So glad you don't scrap sets if you think they'll come out bad, A friend wanted me to show my worst work and then she told me to use as my current forum set, people actually liked it. Turns out that what's trash to some it's a treasure to others. Please do show what comes from it!

Ps: My pov after realizing I trashed over 200+ sets since 2004..

I have a habit of keeping everything I make whether good or bad just because I put some of my time into it even if I never look at it again. I think I would like to try this out over the weekend when I have some more time and whatever comes out of it I will share here.

Even the ones I did was bad I still post them so it's okay if you think it's not good it's something you created that's what matters.
