Live Action Verisons

So how do you feel about various live action versions of anime, both series and movies? Deathnote? One Piece? Dragon Ball? Ghost in the Shell? Alita?

I have seen live action of some like America Version Death Note, FMA, and Bleach and i was really disappointed in all of them.

I think live action versions of anime can be interesting, but they’re often hit or miss. Some, like Alita: Battle Angel, did a great job capturing the spirit of the original, while others, like Death Note or Dragon Ball Evolution, lost a lot of what made the anime special.

It’s hard to fit the same emotion and style from animation into live action. Still, I respect the effort when done well.

Ghost In The Shell I think they did amazingly well.

I don't think anyone has complained about a Mortal Kombat movie yet. Though Street Fighter is another story.

The One Piece live action adaptation is phenomenal. It’s handled with respect and stays true to the source material. The casting choices are great, the special effects are great, and the production value is amazing. It is definitely worth watching if you’re a One Piece fan, I promise.

Death note is chaotic but not the worst idea on LA versions.
