Optic Posted March 12, 2016 Share Posted March 12, 2016 (edited) As Re;birth 2/MkII was my absolute favourite HDN game due to its main plot, it should come as no surprise that this and the next episode were my most favourite in the anime. And well Nepgear being my top favourite probably helps too. Now if I recall, the original plot involved Nepgear having to convince Uni, Ram and Rom to join her adventure. And Uni in particular was VERY VERY confrontational towards Nepgear in her first encounter. Although here in the anime they're already friends, I loved how they were still able to add some tension with Uni blaming Nepgear for not mentioning Arfoire's share sapping crystals earlier. Seriously (and I'm aware saying seriously over and over diminishes the meaning, but seriously ) ... these beautiful scenes turned me to jelly. Oh yes, and Pirachu's lamenting due to having to upload those lewd photos of the captive CPUs via a 56k dialup modem was hilarious. Of course... the biggest highlight of all was Nepgear reflecting on her need to be stronger than Neptune instead of looking up to her all the time, and thus transforming for the first time into Purple Sister. They nailed this scene PERFECTLY! Although I don't recall being able to spam Purple Sister's M.P.B.L SP move like this. SanguineTear Posted March 13, 2016 Share Posted March 13, 2016 Yeah I was super thrilled with this episode, Mk 2 was my first and favorite game of the series, and this was an awesome variation on it.
