Tenchi Muyo Universe.... would have been a better ending if most everyone else had stayed in thier respective choices in life instead of alluding that they'd return. Ryoko ever was the only one who was truly and utterly loyal to him, at the cost to herself often. The rest seemed to hang around out of convenience. The fact that she returned to him after practically sacrificing herself to help him save a people who hate her was out of love. Everyone else returning seems like a slap in the face. Dusk Maiden of Amnesia Would have been so much better if Yuuko's ghost had moved on at the end instead of plot armoring her back in. It would have been the perfect beautiful tragic ending to her story. Instead, now she's stuck as a wandering spirit and he's stuck with a dead girl in a harem (the relationship cannot work beyond friendship). It would be considered a masterpiece by me if she had tragically disappeared for good and would have given much needed closure to the story. As it stands, I have meh feelings towards it now.
