Hello all, I'm Gale, and it's a pleasure to meet you all. I see that AF has been revamped--granted it's been a few years since I was last on. It's nice to see new faces here! Admittedly, though, I haven't been an avid anime watcher as of late. I find that it takes some commitment to finish a series all the way through, and with school and work taking up a majority of my time... Well, let's just say I've a few series on the back burner for now. My favorite anime include, but are not limited to: - Tokyo Ghoul (I really enjoyed it, though season 2 didn't really do it for me. I have plans to read the manga, however) - Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood - Attack on Titan - Bleach I've been more into video games the past few years, and some of my current ones are: - Final Fantasy XIV - Guild Wars 2 - Helldivers 2 - Fire Emblem (played Three Houses, but haven't finished all the routes. I still have WS and AF to do; put that to the side for now to play Awakening) - Assassin's Creed (I've beaten 1, 2, Brotherhood, Revelations, and Black Flag; currently on 3) - Dark Souls (beat 1, but slogging through 2 and 3) - Bloodborne (my absolute favorite on this list) Anyhow, that's about it from me. I had my boyfriend take my car today so that I can take his to the carwash and get it cleaned up. I'm currently on spring break, so I've tried to keep myself busy this week by doing little things.

I'd be inclined to agree knowing how much self-defense your dad has probably taught the both of you given the nature of his job. For that reason alone I wouldn't mess with you or your sister because I'm fairly positive I wouldn't walk away alive

I've had the day off from school and residency so I've been enjoying the day with some friends.

The fact that you wanted to and tried is enough. We made it through it alright. I think sis had a rough night but it'll be better for her when she flies back home today and gets away from these emotional people imo. It can be really draining. The funeral yesterday was tough and my family isn't the easiest to be around when they are high in emotions but we (mostly) made it through without too many incidents :V I finally got to get out of the house last night with some friends for a couple hours and take a break which helped.

Yesterday was a hard day for myself and my family but today almost feels like it's going to be a little easier now that the hard stuff is behind.

I'd be more concerned for whatever idiot criminal decides to attack my sis than I would be for her in the situation. I doubt they'd walk away from the situation without missing body parts :V

It's alright to feel this way but you aren't stupid for it. Feeling upset and anxious in this time is normal and you are allowed to feel whatever which way you do at this time.

I know a lot of people on this forum read manga so if like to ask why, you (yes, you) read manga. What is it about manga that you enjoy? Why choose it over the actual anime if there is one? Why would you ever prefer it solely over the anime? I also want to ask those who don’t read manga why at their reasoning for that is. I personally do not read manga. I would so much rather watch something animated, voiced, music playing, and just giving the immersion I don’t feel manga can give me. This isn’t mean to spark a debate on whether anime is better than manga. I am just curious as to why you do or don’t read it.

I'm sorry, but is this for real? Did you choose this survey or were you assigned this? A primarily fictional genre of entertainment which has every kind of content you can imagine and a qualifying person only has to have seen one episode of anime in their life? This would be like saying that the person who didn't get cancer ate an apple when they were 11 and trying to find a correlation between the two.

There isn't much I can say that wouldn't spoil certain aspects of the story but I felt like season 2 raised the bar across all points a few notches.

You're not the only who experiences that strange empty feeling. It's like nostalgia--reminiscing over the journey you had just completed (whether that be an anime, book or video game). Any good story will leave you feeling hollow, so to speak. You were so invested in it, always expecting something to happen next...and then, it's done? It's finished? There's no more...? Animedragon puts it beautifully here: I believe that this is certainly the case. We become attached to the characters, and the lives they lead (despite being fictional). We put ourselves in their shoes and are immersed into their world. We see and feel the things they do. And when their story has come to its conclusion, it's time to say farewell... It's always bittersweet, isn't it?

I’m alright, a little frustrated at work lately but that’s mostly because I’ve been trying to get an order of 15,000 trail maps out the door for several weeks now. I can’t dedicate my full attention to it because we still have other orders to take care of as well. I’m really glad that the municipality that ordered these is incredibly patient and doesn’t start handing these ones out until late spring/early summer anyway, but I’d still like to finally be done with it so that I can get properly caught up on everything else. Honestly, it’s a minor frustration, really. Otherwise, I’ve been really good!

I can survive without it. I'll be bored, as I spend much of my time on Tik Tok and YouTube, but it wouldn't be the end of the world. More reading, writing and video games for me--haha.

It is 75F degrees here at the moment. Sunny and hot.

Spring is on the way this is a photo I took today of the small daffodils in my front garden, it's amazing that anything other than weeds grow in it because it seems to have more stones than soil in it . But I'm grateful for the little daffs, they give a small bit of colour to the garden.

Agreed, it's the only video game mechanic anime I've been able to hang with because it's mostly a background theme and not overused. Second season is far better than I expected by the way so have fun with that.

Wow I really didn't know they were cutting programs like that, that's awful ~ Idk I have a lot of anxiety right now. On one hand I'm glad to be at home to see my dad and sister but on the other I'm really not looking forward to tomorrow. I've talked to a couple friends on the phone tonight to try to calm down but I felt like as soon as I hung up the anxiety came back lol Now I'm just sitting here and can't stop shaking which makes me feel stupid or something

Pretty average day here in Phoenix you gotta make sure you drink a lot of water mostly. Id rather live somewhere a little bit cooler but can't move away from the fam for now.

It's been hot enough today that the AC was put on.

One of my father's friends was a flight engineer on Concord and he told us that the plane got a bit longer when in supersonic flight.

I like to have a house to come home too that's like mine, but traveling, I can do all the time lol I love new places, new cultures, I hate people but I like people watching in new places? Makes no sense eh lol I like wandering around new cities and getting lost and seeing all kinds of things but yeah coming home to like my personal space, that I do need ~

Thanks <33 It is very easy to slip into that mindset, especially when you're an overthinker like I am lol I can be having the best time with someone and they can literally tell me how much fun they had with me but then that night I'll be laying in bed thinking that "they looked at me strangely for 0.5 seconds during our time together and I'm certain that means they hate me" @.@ I know it's not true but it still gets in the back of my mind sometimes.
