Front Mission 1st Remake:
I've improved the Short weapons proficiency to 16 for Royd, Ryuji, Natalie, Keith, and Frederick while simultaneously increasing everyone's Dodge proficiency between 9 and 12. I clearly need to improve everyone's Dodge proficiency even higher, but in the meantime, I need to work on getting J.J's Short weapons proficiency to 16 as well. Funny thing about having a higher proficiency in the weapons categories though when it comes to increasing the odds in which I'm able to win in the Arena is I can get more money from the bets on my chances of winning than, say, if a character's Short weapons proficiency would be at the starting level of 9 which means it wouldn't cause any damage. So, basically, I can equip weapons that inflict less damage than the heavy hitters I've got in inventory and it barely affects the damage the character in question will inflict on the Arena opponent. So, it's a pretty good way to get a lot of Huffman Dollars pretty fast and with minimal effort as long as I keep my wanzer (mechs the characters use) parts to a point that it can actually be destroyed by the Arena opponent. So, risky, but so far I've managed to win with 1.80 betting odds rather than the 1.54 betting odds I was accumulating funds with before. In other words, I win more money after the match. ^^ It's an interesting revelation, that's for sure. I never would've even thought it'd be possible to do so without decreasing the odds as low as they could go. A tougher wanzer with higher defense, HP, and that's more expensive isn't the only way to win a wanzer battle in Front Mission 1st Remake apparently. ^^ ^^ Currently, J.J.'s Short weapons proficiency is at 12, so I've got a bit of grinding to do before it gets to 16, but I'm a patient person when it comes to games~ ^^ ^^ The next mission I believe is to save a character that I can recruit into the Canyon Crows if I save him from being destroyed. That's why I'm making my party so powerful. Basically, Peewee is in a convoy of supply trucks (he drives one, too) that suddenly get ambushed by U.C.S. units. Tbh I'm not sure what happens if Peewee gets destroyed as to whether or not I'll still be able to recruit him to the Canyon Crows mercs led by Royd, but I'd rather not have to find out the hard way after a wasted attempt to save him only to fail. I've already gone into that mission (O.C.U. Mission 4 I think it is) unprepared and had to quit before I was forced to watch the mercs be destroyed by the U.C.S. troops after I wasted time on a clearly premature attempt to save Peewee from being destroyed. Also, after clearing Mission 4, I can recruit another character in addition to Peewee called Yang, but the way to do it has more steps than I'm able to remember, so I'll be following an online guide to recruit her. Especially since she already has a Skill the moment she joins the party. ^^ ^^ I forgot what the Skill is, but the Guide says what it is, so I'll say the name of it and type its description in the next post. For now, it's time to grind away with J.J. in the Arena until his Short weapons proficiency increases from 12 to 16.
