I still post in my old LiveJournal. It is always a great way to express myself. I think I do agree that Facebook killed blogging when it came to personal diary entries since it was easier just to write a Facebook post about it but blogs are still widely used for restaurant reviews and for some anime reviewing sites as well. Blogs are not dead but what they have been used for have changed, I think. Optic, why don't you use LJ anymore? I think you can get friends from add me communities and I would always reply to you. I didn't have anyone commenting to me for ages on my LJ and then slowly people did admit they were reading. I was shocked!

I haven't watched any new anime lately I am not sure which ones are good. The last few years I have been introduced to loads of anime. My favourite anime that aired in 2011 and 2012 include Penguindrum, Chihayafuru, Madoka and JoJo's Bizarre Adventure.

^ he is right. How can we convince other people to post here? It's dead here!

Since AN: Graduated high school Studied a Bachelor of Media and Communication (majoring in Journalism) and graduated in November Had newspaper articles published in the Geelong Advertiser Work as a Cashier/Supervisor at Coles Supermarkets since 2010 - in October I transferred from Mornington Coles to Tooronga and its going to be a long journey but it means I will get the chance to improve my supervisor skills in closing and opening the store Decided to go back to university in July this year after the job market being so bad - currently studying a Master of Communication but still thinking if this is the right decision - maybe I should do teaching? I really don't know Finally moved out of home in September this year Joined an anime club in 2011, became the president a few months later and really improved the club - it felt like what AN would be like if it existed in real life - after graduating uni I was vice president until conflicts made me leave the club if I had known I was going to go back to uni I would have stayed as president I suppose Finally had a long term real life boyfriend! No more online relationships for me! His name is Alex and I have been dating him since 14th September, 2012

My car's name is Thomas. Not named after an online ex-boyfriend but instead Thomas the Tank Engine. This happened due to my little cousin at the time being obsessed with Thomas the Tank Engine and naming all the cars after Thomas the Tank Engine characters and this named stuck. Thomas is a 1991 Nissan Pulsar. I have owned him since August 2009. He is my first car. The funny story is that at first I thought this brand of car was ugly. My next door neighbour had the same car and I would always tell my family "I never want an old car like that I want a new car!" and soon my neighbour crashed her Nissan and had to get another one. My uncle sent me a picture one day saying, here is your new car. It was a Nissan Pulsar and I was dismayed! So old. My uncle at that time was still a driving instructor and one of his old clients had recently gotten a new car and she had just kept Thomas in the backyard to die. She was trying to sell him, an unroadworthy car for almost $2000. My uncle said, "How about $200? My niece is going for her license soon and would need a car." And amazingly she agreed to it. My car needed a lot of work done. A new windscreen, new battery... I can't remember what else but soon he was ready for the roads. During my first year of uni where I drove over 60 kilometres from my home to uni each way, my old car had some troubles. Lights kept breaking down and no one could fix it. My uncle (the same one who was a driving instructor) also used to be a mechanic and he found the problem straight away! After a dodgy mechanic destroyed my petrol tank by gluing the O-Ring down with super glue I thought enough was enough I was never going to trust a mechanic ever again, they were so expensive. So I appointed my uncle as sore mechanic of Thomas and since then we have done very very well. After 200970 kilometres in 2011 the thing that measures the km's died. Nowadays I have no idea how many kms my car has done but we have driven far. We have driven to Geelong from Mornington... and at one stage I was driving at least 1000 km a week with the car. Now that I have moved out of home my trusty car gets a bit of a rest. He now enjoys the short five minute drive to Coles for work most days and sometimes drives 30 mins to other places but at the moment we aren't doing much traveling though I know my car can still do that much driving it is just nice to save on petrol for a while. For the first time in four years I don't have to re-fill my tank three times a week. Instead only once every two weeks. At the moment I can't see myself getting a new car cause my car is so cheap to run currently and I adore the car. If my uncle ever decided not to fix my car anymore then I would decide to probably sell the car since it would be too expensive to fix it up due to dodgy mechanics haha. I know lots of people who I realised were fake friends hated my car. They couldn't understand why I would drive such an old car... and these same people didn't even own a car anyway so they didn't really understand the costs of owning a car anyway. Plus Thomas the car and I have gone through everything together and solved every problem - even people being able to break into my car twice this year. Well now with my trusty new locks this is impossible Eventually I will probably own a Suzuki Swift which is my dream car but I will never forget Thomas. Sorry for the long post but I am very passionate about my car.... people should know this before posting a topic about cars HAHA.

I'm quite excited right now!! On Friday at 7:45am I will be on a plane for the first time ever in my life. My boyfriend and I are going to Sydney to see one of my best friends and explore Sydney. It's going to be great and it will be good to have a week away from Melbourne

Hahahaha this topic made me laugh so much when I saw the title! This is because one of my best friends LOVES 24 hour time. He will say, "I will be at your place to pick you up at 1500." Hahahaha. It drives my boyfriend mad. He much prefers 12 hour time but no matter what we do we can't stop our friend from saying stuff in 24 hour time and this is fine because it makes him who he is... it would be weird if he didn't speak in 24 hour time. The weird thing is that the Coles rosters also have 24 hour time on their rosters. if you are working until midnight... it doesn't say midnight or 12:00 (cause that may confuse it with 12:00pm) but instead will have 24:00. Even though my friend says that doesn't really exist haha. So to answer the question I'm on the fence, I don't have a favourite I am fine with both.

Ew I just saw the photo of that bubble tea drink. I have been able to love most Asian meals/drinks but never bubble tea... never liked the jelly bits in there. Weirdly enough I have been drinking tea lately this is because my boyfriend loves it so much and we also went to the MasterChef pop up restaurant where they gave us free samples of Lipton's new tea flavours. They are lovely and I think I like them because they're fruity. Today I also received a package that contained some Dutch tea from fellow AN member, NightDancer. They smell so fruity I can't wait to try some

OK for alcoholic it is definitely a Long Island Iced Tea cocktail. Though yesterday I went to the Asian Beer Cafe in Melbourne Central shopping centre and they have introduced new cocktails such as the Choco-Madness which was delicious I think that might take over the Long Island Iced Tea. As for non-alcoholic a favourite of mine would be Gloria Jeans Iced Chocolates either the tim tam one or the original. Apart from that I love mocktails especially the ones at TGIF where they have an apple pie mocktail it tastes just like the dessert as well. Sometimes I find mocktails can be more delicious than cocktails even though there are no alcohol in them.

Optic, will you still eat the new chicken salads and wraps after the introductory prices end? They seem quite expensive after those prices end. Lately I have had a lot of fun reading about what other people think of McDonalds. http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/forum-replies.cfm?t=2135181 It shows a lot of interesting feedback and helps us keep up with the latest McDonalds news such as the new app where a customer can order their meal on an app before going to the drive through and then using their QR code to pay/or confirm they already paid on the app. Not sure how useful this really is! I would still prefer McDonalds home delivery hahahaha.

Hahaha I am so sorry but I almost laughed aloud when I saw there was a KFC topic! My boyfriend sadly eats KFC for lunch every day when he is at work. This is because KFC is one of the few eating places near his work place. He used to love KFC so much but now he is getting a bit sick of it. Before dating him I had never really tried KFC because I do not really like chicken but I do like their popcorn chicken (makes no sense does it) and I also like their krusher drinks. I still need to try the orange chocolate one.

The plain packaging sucks for me as a Coles staff member cause now it is so difficult to find the cigarettes making our jobs a lot harder!

I'm really curious to see what your first site would have looked like, Optic compared to the first few layouts of TDFN. I wonder if the site design for the Pokemon site looked really bad

How late do they stay open for in Singapore? Haha maybe you wouldn't be able to get McDonald's at any time of night like we do over here in Australia

What the hell, Ciara! Someone else sings that song?? I was listening to the Utada Hikaru version the other day. It reminds me of Livan because he was the one who showed it to me and it was the song that got me into Japanese music in the first place.

Why don't we have both a human and an animal mascot? That way we have the Digimon Tamer and the Digimon. It makes more sense Penguin for the animal cause of Penguindrum

That is so cool, Optic. I never got to play that Band Hero. Well of course Taylor gets three songs on there cause she's the best singer out there Also, that Swift song is still on the radio a lot. Plus she is getting a lot of coverage now with all four of her new songs being played on the radio because of them all making it in the charts. Lindsay, no they didn't get married. Plus I suppose you got to be able to relate to Begin Again. I can

I always assumed she had been physically abused to make her think her body was ugly. But then it could have gone both ways. A lot of the series is left up to what the viewer believes. What other questions do you have about the show? Anything else that confused you? What did you think of the human stick figures they used?

EW, HOT POT!!!! I've had hot pot twice and both times I didn't like it very much but I have only had it at a Chinese Restaurant. The first time I got a tummy ache from it. The second time I had it, it actually tasted better but it still isn't something I would have often. Most of the time you don't even know what is in it. Oh but all your other choices of food are very nice. I love sushi too. I am weird and never eat soy sauce with my sushi Also dumplings are amazing. I am surprised though that not any of my Chinese friends like dumplings. They all dislike them so much and they tell me that dumplings have become more of a westerner food.

Her Prince Charming is Connor hahahaha, pay more attention to the gossip magazines! But she also apparently tried to go out to dinner with one of the singers from One Direction but she cancelled the table at the last moment and escaped London via a jet plane. True story. It sounds so odd though. This only happened a couple of days ago. Yes, please list the songs that relate to you.

So, they do not interact with their fans anymore? Do you know why? Maybe their hearts aren't in it anymore.

Hahahahahaha yeah I thought that too. Like that episode where we find out about Yuri's past.

Geelong is a town in Victoria. It's like, two hours away from my house that's why I will be staying in the town. It's really funny because Geelong is near-ish to Werribee/Point Cook which is where my ex-boyfriend used to live hahaha Linds you will know what I mean. The drive-up there will be weird because it will be like I am driving there again even though he no longer lives in that area anymore.

Awwww, that is horrible. You must be getting used to having him in the same bed as you What time does your boyfriend finish work? It must be late. Congratulations, I am so proud of you! Rant: I am so happy how well I am doing with my Coles duties lately. I was really nervous about opening the store but I am learning how to do it so well and now I prefer opening to closing. next week I go to my journalism internship in Geelong. I am going to miss Coles but it should be great to see how a newspaper is actually run.
