Yeah, happens to me too. It's frustrating. I get nights when I'm too excited or nervous to sleep. The A/C helps with that problem quite a lot as the cold puts me to sleep, but sometimes, when you can't sleep, you just can't force it. It sucks. :/

Story of my life. I hate it when that happens. Thankfully, I've adapted to a proper sleep cycle after a while. Just needed to stay up later so that I would wake up later.

Yeah, definitely agreed on the "impersonal" part. I have my problems with AF, but at least people actually bothered to address the existence of new members here, not just ignore them completely after one or two days.

Of course, I only just started getting active recently, so it's probably an unfair thing to say. That said, it's just something I've observed so far. Just putting it out there. Food for thought.

Yeah, I agree. And I hope you don't take this the wrong way, but I feel that AF isn't as active as other forums in terms of post-per-day ratio. I am trying to make it work in AF, but I do miss the old days in certain forums when there were real tight-knit communities that felt more intimate for myself, and I had a stronger bond.

Not that I've heard of, I'm afraid. I think you might be right about it being mashed potatoes, but it might be weird to put it alongside fries, which is another kind of potato in itself.

I'm not too sure to be honest. Could be mayonnaise.

Ah, right. Not a big fan of gravy, I'm afraid. Or many kinds of sauce for that matter. :P Cheese is okay though, but still not a favorite of mine. I prefer salt on my fries.
