  1. I like to theme them with appropriate time of year (seasons), so right now I'm using a winter themed pack: There are actually more but this one is my favorite.
  2. ^ I'm pretty sure that's some form of racism... Winning~
  3. I'd be flattered but at the same time would have to reject him since I'm straight.
  4. There are no mistakes in life, only lessons. As you've said it's all part of who you are now and you should blame yourself for perhaps expecting a bit too much from others (so much that it hurt you in the end) but as long as you don't make the same mistake again it'll all be good.
  5. Those situations when while out I'm super hungry so I buy something to eat even though I already have lunch at home...
  6. ^ Oh absolutely! All of you guys (and girls ) are super friendly!
  7. That' the thing, I don't think that anyone (anyone I know at least) likes villains or ''good guys'' simply because they're ''good'' or ''bad''. Usually character's actions aren't as important as their traits and appearances. Indeed Yagami Light is good example of this. He appears as though he's evil (which I'm not gonna lie he really is) but his actions aren't first thing the people think of when they think of him. Light is firstly a really smart guy, a bookworm in a way, he's also quite charming and charismatic and finally he's (I think he is, ladies??) good looking. And indeed as Sammy previously said: Best villains are justified villains, villains that probably wouldn't be villains if certain conditions and causes didn't make them the way they are. In Light's case he always had an idea of how a perfect world would look like but he never had means to execute his plans until he found Death Note. Lelouch also believed that he was doing the right thing all along and at times he was hailed as hero by some and considered a terrorist by others. His story perhaps illustrates that struggle between what's right and what's wrong, who's good and who's bad the best. I understand the possible confusion since there are so many one-dimensional characters nowadays. It's easy to just sort people into ''good'' and ''bad'' and call it case closed, which is what they usually do in children's cartoons since they like to keep story as simplified as possible, but just like in all of good pieces of literature and real life there are always 2 points of view. For example it's easy to antagonize Hitler nowadays but what people often forget or disregard is the utter humiliation Germany suffered during and after WW1 being labeled as main cause of it (which it wasn't) and loose peace treaty of Versailles that only postponed another great conflict for the time being. Hitler was more a consequence of WW1 rather than cause and main villain of WW2. I don't think that you would. It's important for us to understand why certain things happen so we wouldn't end up repeating them. So I'd encourage you to study stories of those controversial people because if anything it's more dangerous to simply label them as taboo and leave them be. Not really since as we've established earlier most of good and likeable villains weren't made to be bad but rather ended up being bad. It's not like they've said ''Hey let's duplicate a mass-murderer and have him use a book to kill people'', Light is more than that. Even good old Frieza had to try his hardest to impress his father and surpass his older brother. He wasn't really racist towards Saiyans, not in traditional way at least. I mean he kept 3 serving under him, but since destruction was only thing he knew (being brought up the way he was) of course he ended up the way he did. Too bad DBZ never really wanted you to know this because it's way easier antagonize someone and make it seem as a struggle between good and bad rather than leaving you conflicted on who to cheer for.
  8. Haruhi Suzumiya, the most overrated character from most overrated show. I believe that anime owes much of it's successes to it's ending sequence dance number: And it's also anime from which the infamous ''Endless 8'' came from. (I've watched it all since I didn't know about it at the time... :'() Characters are bland, storyline is generic and OST is largely forgetable. They've made an awesome movie though.
  9. Yay! I'm not the only one! So yes, my favorite couple is Tomoya x Nagisa. They seem very relatable. I've always seen that little bit of Tomoya in me since I've always considered myself to be fatally flawed like he does and I wanted to be with a cute and a bit naive girl like Nagisa (which I've accomplished, yay! ). On their own they seem like 2 losers, inadequate people largely pushed away by others (although Tomoya is main character of harem anime so that techincally doesn't apply to him but still that's how he thought of himself), but together they make up for their flaws and form a power couple which is what relationships are all about.
  10. There's a movie based on Nana to Kaoru??? That seems like an odd idea. It's kinda like those situations when you're reading a book that you really like and then suddenly find out that there's a movie based on it which gives you mixed feelings... Will it be good or will it flop?? For me personally manga is probably the only medium that such work could be published in, since book wouldn't be graphic enough and movie wouldn't leave as much to the imagination as manga did. I'm not sure if I'd actually watch a movie since I really can't see how it'd be any good, but if your friend liked it then maybe I'd give it a shoot...
  11. Hey @Kirry , Indeed I don't believe we had chance to properly meet. Thanks for warm welcome!
  12. Well you guys can always take 2nd place. Winning~
  13. This ''Big 5'' thing has been outdated even when I've started watching anime... ^^'' So you might ask yourself: Short answer is no, long answer however is a bit more complicated. You might notice that all of these anime are shonen and that's not a coincidence. What made ''Big 5'' what it was wasn't the quality of content but rather how vocal their fans were, and that's why I've said that the list was outdated since no one ever talked about Katekoyo Hitman Reborn that much... Today's big 5 would probably consist of Naruto and One Piece alone from this list and maybe One-punch Man, Shingeki no Kyojin and one more anime (sadly @RyePotatoes I don't think it'd be Fairy Tail, but then again who knows? ) So why did I write all of this? Besides wanting to annoy Rye a bit ( )??? I don't really have a proper answer. I guess most of you (if not all) already knew all of this. So yh I wanted to annoy Rye. *Sorry Rye, ya! @T: Out of all those Naruto would probably my favorite, but out of all shonen out there it'd have to be HxH (2011). Is HxH a member of Big 5 now? Idk, but I think that it's got quite a fan base thanks to recent anime.
  14. Weak characters that get all the attention of the world and that if it hadn't been Mangaka wouldn't last a day on their own in their Anime universes. Notable examples: Sasuke (Naruto) and that kid from Durarara.
  15. *Looks back at all you arguing about who's wining with an evil grin* Winning~
  16. Well you can keep saying it but I'm the one who's actually winning~
  17. Only ''immortal'' character I can think of right now is Yoh Asakura and since he's reincarnation that technically makes him immortal. Also since I like Yoh I'd say that he's my favorite immortal character.
  18. I've liked it the first time I've watched it but then I couldn't remember what I liked about it so much so I've re-watched and found nothing. It's overrated in my opinion, and I'm guessing that it's got good rep because it's got a reputation of a beginner anime.
  19. Clannad After Story is by far my favorite anime. Good art, great story and amazing character development. I'm one of those who know what they want from their anime and Clannad delivered.
