1. This was actually the only canned pasta I ate as a kid:

... and, now that I'm mentioning this, I suddenly have the urge to get a can next time I'm grocery shopping. :D

Mmmmm ravioli *drools*

String...? o_o

You are completely joking right? They don't have string in America?! :o

2. I can't say I have, actually. Like, ever. xD

Unbelievable. That stuff was golden growing up ;)

If you could hug any animal, which animal? :3

How long is a piece of string?

What was the first anime you ever watched and why on earth did you watch it?

How do you take your tea/coffee? Provided you drink any :P

3. Hey Cy~! Welcome to Anime Forums! :)

I feel clumsy 'welcoming' you like that, I hope I don't sound too condescending since I'm just a lil newbie :3

Now that's what I call an introduction! (Internet plumbing is the absolute best analogy I've heard for web dev) xD

I really hope AF lives up to your expectations, this is by far the friendliest and, for lack of a better word, cleanest Internet community I've stumbled upon :)

And I'll absolutely say hello to you lol, just be prepared for my long boring rants that I'm never sure are interesting to anyone whatsoever xP

And excellent job @zoop with dragging your wife into the world of anime...

It won't be long now and the world will fall to their knees at the hand of Japan and it's army of impeccable storytellers...

And high-school girls with skirts measured precisely to the millimetre in length.

Also WELCOME PLEASE HAVE A COOKIE AND THEN PLEASE HAVE ANOTHER AND THEN GO MAKE POSTS

I tried to find an anime related gif but they all had far too much dignity

4. I think I'm going to give it a try. :D
Excellent, do let me know your reaction, especially after the first few episodes xP

What do you mean? It's only criminal if she doesn't like it

That is... true :D

And I think she loves it

5. @Nectar just asked me if I knew Sagiri's age without looking, I guessed 10 but I looked after and it's actually 12, that doesn't make it any less criminal.

I honestly think I'm just watching this because it gives me Oreimo vibes.

I asked this because I was curious as to whether you'd think the same as I originally did. I guessed similarly, she really does seem younger than she 'is'

And you're right, 12 is not much better than 10 tbf

Lolicon... Seems criminal... Probably should be... Not in Japan :P

Despite feeling uncomfortable on a few occasions, as I previously mentioned in this thread, I still love this anime, it's still super cute and I still have yet to develop any shame

Long live the loli!

I really hate typing on iPhone

6. Talking about this show. What happened with the second season? There's already 6 episodes and I don't see a trace of the protagonist of the first seson, is this season only about that new girl and the yuri she wants to happen? I'm confused.

They dared to make a second season? :o

It's all news to me, I'd better check that out... thanks for the referral ^w^

7. "Is it Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?"

I knew the second I read the title of this post that this was my response. I was really annoyed by the ending of DanMachi as I was really enjoying it up until it's last few episodes. I felt it showed a lot of promise and I was genuinely really enjoying it for what it was. And then, the last few episodes came along. All of a sudden I felt the show lost all sense of reason and became a rushed, blabbering mess, completely ruining everything I had watched already with a conclusion that felt out of place and with a lot of unresolved and wasted material from earlier in the show.

Really devestatingly poor conclusion to an anime I was enjoying, for a time.

8. Ah so that's what this forum was missing xP

This is quite the opportunity :P ψ(`∇´)ψ

You have a very mysterious and unlikely illness that requires you to have a body part amputated, of your choosing. What would you choose? Why? :D

Are you wearing socks? What colour are they?

What did you eat for lunch two days ago? Why did it take you so long to remember?

9. 2.) I live alone, in a tiny single wide trailer (mobile home) in the middle of nowhere.

That sounds... pretty great actually :)(y)

Okay so FACTS!

1. I am a huge lover of music. If I had to pick a genre I'd say Indie Rock but really my iTunes has such a huge range in it that I can't commit to one of them. I love Rock, Folk, Electronica, Psychedelia, Metal, Rap, as well as other things that don't really go together at all. If it's good, I will listen to it. Except modern pop

2. Naturally, since I love music I really really wanna write my own. I have skills with a piano/keyboard as I used to own one and everyone tells me I should be a drummer. I got my first guitar when I was 9 but never took to it before giving it away before I was 11. Stupid me. By the end of the year I'm looking to get a really nice MIDI keyboard and a copy of GarageBand or equivalent.

3. I'm quietly theist. Specifically, I don't follow a religion but I do believe in a divine being that monitors and watches over his little minions. I don't believe he created them, in fact I support the Big Bang Theory and take an interest in science since I want to work in neuroscience. I believe in miracles and in various religious teachings regarding love to others but I don't go to church/mosque etc. I'm a little weird since I don't follow any religions I've ever heard of yet I still believe in a God that messes with me all the time xD

4. I'm a keen cyclist. I've been into riding bicycles ever since I learned how to ride one and nothing's really stopped me since. It takes my mind off the stresses of the day and it's also a great way to keep healthy.

5. As a child I used to carry around a camera wherever I went on a long trip or holiday and record it. And talk. A lot. All but one of those videos have been lost and deleting them is something I'll always regret. The last remaining video is 1 and a half hours long, was subtitled when I was 8 (camera was an old nokia) and it's one of the most precious records I keep.

That's far too long I'm so sorry I imagine there's gonna be lot of TL;DR o_O

10. Right now I'm watching way more anime in one go than I ever have, I remember when I could only stand to watch one at a time...

I'm watching:

• Alice to Zouroku (meh tbh)
• Charlotte (impeccable)
• Eromanga-sensei (great!)
• Kyokai no Kanata (decent)
• Lucky Star (hilarious)
• Rokuaka (love it)
• Shingeki no Kyojin (amazing)

11. Hello everyone,

Japan loves their clearfiles. They are a practical gift, as you can store several sheets of paper inside them and you'll find them in a variety of styles! And you know, they're actually quite inexpensive, around the ¥350 mark!

But of course, we all love the anime ones right?;)

They're nice to collect because usually the clearfiles are made of a decent translucent plastic. They are after all, meant to hold sheets of paper.

But I must admit, I haven't actually used them for storing sheets of paper... and I've never considered using them for study because, well a lot of my study is done online. And if I do need any printouts I prefer to store them in binders. So clearfiles are not practical enough for me.

Otherwise, they're really pretty!

What do you think of anime clearfiles, and would you ever use them for school / College / University?

Absolutely I would! Those Charlotte files look incredible and I've been considering going to Staples to get something similar for school as I'm churning out a lot of paper atm.

I intend to get the Ayumi and Nao files ASAP they are amazing <3

@Optic thanks for the referral! Where do you source your merch?

I think they'd be a little more practical than a binder as binders tend to be quite bulky and don't fit so neatly in my bag. Plus it's just plain block colour and where's the fun in that :P

12. I find that anime has so many genres that instead of being put into categories, you could almost plot them on a 3-dimensional graph or on a spectrum.

And like a lot of people here, I can watch just about anything.

I'll watch Slice of Life, I'll watch Gore and Violence

I love Comedy, I love Psychological Thrillers

I'm happy to watch a short film, and I'm happy to watch OMG THIS WILL TAKE MY WHOLE LIFE AND A HALF

I think that really there are just way more genres than we even have words for them, and I prefer to judge individual shows than genres as a whole, as there are ALWAYS exceptions and I feel anything can work if it's, you know, good

That's why when someone asks me what genre's I like, and this goes especially for music too:

"If it's good, I will watch it."
