Could you ever give up social media ??

I never was so active in social networks ,but sometimes I check it.

I could. The only social media account I have is Facebook and I seldom use it. All of my friends have all sorts of different social media accounts, though. I don’t know if YouTube is considered social media. If it is, then, no, I could not go without it.

The only social media that I use is Discord and two different forums (this being one of them). I got rid of Facebook many years ago and never had much interest in any of the other options.

I can survive without it. I'll be bored, as I spend much of my time on Tik Tok and YouTube, but it wouldn't be the end of the world. More reading, writing and video games for me--haha.

definitely not like most other young people, i use social media a lot. discord is how my friends and i communicate, and i also use twitter, tiktok, youtube, pinterest (mainly for art references) and insta (and maybe smth else i can't think of rn idk). i spend a lot of time on discord (talking to friends) and twitter (mostly looking at vtuber related content). most of what i consume is art and stuff related to my interests as well as a few other things. i definitely doomscroll too much. i should probably rethink my time spent online haha

i definitely think that teenagers (including myself) spend far too much time online, especially on social media. it impacts many different aspects of my life. it's also not easy to just put it down, though. it's how i talk to my friends and make new friends, how i stay updated and take part in my interests (my main interest is nijisanji EN, which are vtubers so ofc that's onoine) and it's just how you know what is relevant amongst your peers. i also like to post my own art and memes about the things i like.

i think social media is okay if you're aware of what content you're consuming, how you're consuming it and how long you're consuming it for. it definitely has both positive and negative impacts on various things. i should probably reconsider how much time i spend online lol

Nope. I like to scroll too much when I'm bored to do that. Without Discord I would have a hard time communicating with my friends or gaming with others. I use Discord every day for voice chatting while playing games and it lets us talk and coordinate whatever game we are doing more effectively.

I think the mutual agreement here among most people posting seems to be "DON'T TAKE MY DISCORD!!!" I fully agree with that sentiment :V 

I would miss Insta or TikTok but yeah I could probably learn to live without it if I had to. I'd rather not because it provides entertainment - but I could. Discord no. It's more of a messaging app and a quick way to stay in contact with others. I don't really classify it as social media. I see it the same as WhatsApp which I also use often to contact friends.

I don't think Discord is social media either. It's a messaging app if anything. I define social media by putting things up for random people to give you fake like points or views on the internet.

I feel the same. I don't see Discord as social media it's just a place to message with others.

Not if we are counting YouTube streaming or Twitch streaming as social media as my streaming is a source of income. Other social medias yea probably. Not very interested in X, FB, Insta. Discord is my only other main website used and I consider it a messaging app not really categorized as social media.

Like you, I don't take much interest in platforms such as Facebook, X, Instagram, but I do enjoy Discord & Twitch or Kick. I don't know how long I would last without scrolling vids on YouTube during the day either
