I am currently watching Attack on Titan and not long got onto season 3. I am really enjoying it so far. I have not long got back into watching anime. What do you guys think of the show? Is it all as enjoyable as the rest of the episodes I've watched? I am absolutely adore Commander Erwin and Levi, they are by far my favourite characters in the whole show.

I would like to say first, that I almost wish sometimes that it hadn't become as popular as it did, simply because being more popular also brought on more criticism that I don't believe it deserved. Attack on Titan was crafted with the ending in mind as soon as the first chapter was written. The sheer amount of mystery and foreshadowing that took place in the first seasons and then have called back to in the final season and its parts was incredible. Season 3 is packed full of story progression, and when you enter the final season, at first, you won't even be able to recognize it as being the same story in some ways. The whole thing was a journey for me from beginning to end, so I'm glad you're enjoying it and I hope you like the way it was wrapped up.

I was quite shocked at a couple of the things that were revealed in season 2/3 but found them to be amazing. I don't want to put spoilers on in case anyone comes on who hasn't seen it yet but honestly, its one of the animes that I love.

Guess I will find out. Shouldn't be long before I'm finished it :)

You can place text inside of the spoiler function when replying (looks like an eye icon) if you want to discuss spoilers.

Everyone has opinions, of course, but I genuinely wondered if those people ever really got the meaning behind the story to begin with and understood exactly what was explained.

Attack on Titan is the show that got me back into anime in 2015. I binged the first season in like 3 days, and couldn't wait for the second to come out. Ultimately though, I dropped it after Season 3 because I literally couldn't follow what the heck was even supposed to be happening. If you're liking it so far, power to you. Also, definitely check out Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress. Same director and studio as AoT and, in my opinion, better character designs, animation, and story.

I enjoyed AoT! I was surprised how much I liked it, as I anticipated becoming disinterested early into viewing. I recommend it often albeit I personally didn’t like how it ended.

Nice 😊

I can start this by stating the obvious, and that's everyone has a right to their opinion, but I'm a little lost here. What about Attack on Titan wasn't deep, and why would you make that claim even though you only watched less than 1/4 of it? Also, was it a matter of gore and darker themes that turned you away from it? Because depending on tastes and age this is a fair critique to make.
