I've known several people who have changed how they want to be called as they grew up. And most of them got annoyed if I forgot and called them by the old name.

He is very old :V well older than me therefore old :V 
 

My names probably confuse a lot of people. I have a birth name that I will not mention because I don't go by it period and I go by the name Ray to people who know me irl. Online I use Lillie mainly and some people also call me that irl. I prefer Ray or Lillie.

Wow, you all mentioned great names here in this thread. Thank you guys, it's great to read your comments about this topic here. Like i already said you all mentioned great names, and i like that there are even some interesting and great foreign names which is cool. Even though i normally prefer English/ American names, but there are still some beautiful foreign names that i like as well like Shikaru or Kezza.

My dad's name is Bill! Well sort of. His name is William but he gets called Bill a lot. I never understood why people named William get nicknamed Bill a lot because there's no B in it

Yeah, i never understood that either. Like you already said, there's no B in it but men with the name William have Bill as a nickname. That's really weird

Oh this reminds me, I used to know a couple of girls that were named after their uncles Eugene and Victor, so the girls were named Eugenie and Victoria! I always thought it was very cool

Yes, i agree with you, i also think John and Kevin are boy names that have this classic feel. I also agree with you, that Lillian and Maria are beautiful names. But i want to add something else to that comment, and say that i think these two girl names also have this classic feel in my opinion.

Which name i also always liked and still do like is Alexa. But sadly, Amazon ruined this beautiful and great name with their stupid Echo Dot. Which i always thought was a very pointless and unecessary device in my opinion. But back to topic, they could have just named it Echo Dot but of course, they wanted to choose a real name probably because they thought it would be more fitting. But for me it was a wrong decision they made, because all the girls and women who's name were or maybe still are Alexa got bullied, or probably still get bullied with this. I still feel so sorry for all the poor girls and women, who liked their name Alexa and then got bullied because of Amazon's Echo Dot.  I can understand that they wanted to change their name, because of this unfortunate and tragic situation. I have the feeling, no parent will choose this name anymore, thanks to Amazon. But at least there are still the girl names Alexis, Alexandra, and Lexy.

There is another ruined name, which i forgot to mention in my last post. The name Karen, which is unfortunately a negative term for self entitled women, thanks to dumb people on the internet and on social media.  I never understood that weird trend, and i still don't understand it and i also don't want to. I personally still treat the name Karen like a normal name, and i don't participate in that stupid trend because i still have respect for that name. I also find no humor in that pointless trend. I still feel so sorry for all the poor women who have that beautiful name, but are probably sad because dumb society uses that name as a negative term and they also probably bully them with this.  Most of them have probably already changed their name because of it, but i don't blame them for that decision if that is the case because that's understandable. I'm pretty sure most women with the name Karen are probably very kind and tolerant women, who aren't like some women with that name who probably are racist and self entitled but definitely not all of them.

Self entitled and racist white women are a real problem, but in my opinion using the name karen as a negative term for women like these and call them with that name in a mocking way isn't helpful either. And it also doesn't solve the problem. But yeah, sadly it's a hopeless case anyway, because most people won't stop using that name as a negative term. The name is ruined anyway. Thanks a lot social media and internet for ruining a beautiful name because of selfish reasons. Why call them only self entitled women, when we can use a real name and make a negative term out of it for them instead? That doesn't make any sense and is really stupid.  Just another reason why i normally don't like people at all.

I think the whole "Karen" thing has gone completely over her head as she doesn't "do" social media, and doesn't use her computer that much.

That's great, i'm really glad to hear that she doesn't know, there is this awful trend with her name. At least she is safe and won't get bullied online with her name, because she doesn't do social media and doesn't use her computer that often.

What names do you guys think will hopefully make a comeback? I personally hope the name Wendy makes a comeback, even though i know this name has not completely disappeared. But that name is rather used rarely these days and it declined in popularity, which i find sad because in my opinion it sounds cute and nice. But on the other hand like i already said, at least the name Wendy has not completely disappeared, which is good and i'm really glad about that.

My aunt’s are named Karen and Wendy!

Sometimes auntie Karen can be overly paranoid about stuff (people driving, kids playing, pets outside, literally anything  depending on her mood) so she wound up earning the nickname Karenoid! Don’t worry though, she’s fully aware of it and finds it just as funny as we do, so much so that she’s even referred to herself as Karenoid on occasion  

Auntie Wendy’s middle name is Reigh, pronounced like Ray, which I think sounds pretty cool. I guess Nanny wanted something that rhymed with sleigh and settled on Reigh because she could get away with the unique spelling. Auntie Wendy happens to be an absolutely massive fan of Christmas and anything to do with Christmas, so the middle name actually suits her quite well!

Lol Karenoid, that's really funny  It's great that she finds it funny as well, and as long as the nickname doesn't bother her and she likes it too, then it's totally fine.  About your aunt Wendy's middle name Reigh, that name sounds very beautiful and i like that she's a massive fan of Christmas. I also think her middle name actually suits her quite well because of it. You have two very cool and cute aunt's, with very beautiful names.  What name do you personally hope makes a comeback?
