They need a lot of water and direct light. They do much better in the ground instead of a pot if you only had them in a pot.

Serey mentioned something about the lightning being wrong for ours when they had started wilting. The window light was too harsh and we had to moved them to outside on the balcony.

Yeah the window lighting on the ones we had was too harsh on them. The coming thru the window thing like makes it harsher and hotter I think ~ but they are doing good now that they are out of the windows.

They require a lot of care for some it depends on what kind you are trying to grow. Do you remember what type they were?

Have you tried plants that don't need much care? The ones @Colu mentioned called Spider Plants are very low maintance and don't die very easily (ノ・ω・)ノ

Yuh these are great or marble queens. All of my marble queens have been really easy to take care of.

I don't know I just grabbed a bag that I found and planted them. I know for sure they weren't mammoth ones but just some ordinary type.

I tried Anthurium before and thought it was low maintenance too, but unfortunately it only lasted about three months.

I used to have an anthurium that my husband got for me and I loved the absolute shit out of it. 
I was so upset when we moved and it died 

I lost quite a few plants when we moved, it still makes me mad and it’s been a couple years now. A couple of them died because they didn't like the new place, totally different light, right? But a couple others had absolutely no reason to die and I absolutely know it’s because the people helping us were waaaaay too rough with them during the move even though I told everyone to be super fracking careful with my plants or leave them the frack alone. Infuriating tbh.

Losing plants can hurt just like losing any other living thing 

They really do pick up on the energy around them. My friend had gorgeous balcony plants, but when she got depressed, they all slowly died. It was heartbreaking

When someone destroyed my sunflowers I'd spent years on I cried for weeks. It still upsets me now to the point of crying or being furious. There was no reason to do it o(╥﹏╥)o plants become a part of your family.

I thought I was weird for getting upset about plants but at least I'm not alone lol 

A few days ago I was watching a show on tv and they were punching a plant and I got really upset because all I could think of was it's a living thing and I started to think about someone doing that to any of my plants and I got all teary and sad @.@ Like the thought of anyone hurting my plants really, really upsets me. I kinda see them as my little friends/babies and I would shank someone for hurting them XD 

When we moved from Chicago to here I didn't trust the movers with my plants. Half of our car was mainly filled with my plants because I wasn't letting someone else take them lol ~ I didn't have as many as I have now, I think it was only 5-6 but I'm really glad I didn't trust movers with them.

 I feel that way about all plants too ●︿● and the plants that I had were of course very special. You end up taking care of them like you would a pet or a person so for that reason they become like family.

I can see why what with all the care that goes into them. I know some people spend hours a day on their gardens.

I don't think it's weird at all to feel that way. Humans sort of bond with just about anything and many people feel that way about plants.
