Columbus
In video games. Do you play for everything in a game or do you just do the main story line? I don't always do the optional quests such as side quests in a video game. I think all you really have to do to beat a game is just the mandatory events of that video game. However if I really really love the game. I will try my very best to get all the upgrades in the game, weapons, armor, and gear. If I didn't care for the game as much. I just complete the main quests and move on to greener pastures.
bahm
for me the real challenge is not completing the main story but side quests. i mean for real, it can be real fun too though for assassin`s creed unity it was hard and so i only got it up to 98% but for games like skyrim and its other franchises, the real game is the side quests, not the main story still this habit of mine has very pain in the *** side effect. if i`m playing an open world game like far cry, assassin`s creed, wild hunt and...., it would take my whole life to do it:'( Edited January 7, 2016 by Guest
Metro
I love doing the whole game especially games like Skyrim, The Witcher series or any game with good story telling I wouldn't say Skyrim had the best story but The Witcher 3 was amazing the side quests were just as good as a main story of another game it made the world feel alive and made you feel part of it any thing you did had an affect on the world which made it a wonderful game to play. But yes I usually do side quests and try to complete the game fully unless I hated the game.
drill
Typically, I only like to 100% the game if I really like it, even then its very rare for me to do that if its not a VN. Once I'm done with the main story, I'm ready for the next game on my backlog.

Modyrts
I am what is referred to as a Completionist, i work through every quest, earn every trophy no matter if it be "Look up a girls skirt of 5 minutes" or "Die 100 times in a row". I can easily spend hundreds of hours on a single game if need be. Often enough i complete most of the game before i even do the second quest of the main story. senshikoi
Main story, although I quite often try to get some of the additional trophies/achievements too, or in-game items to fill up the "gallery" - in Ranko Tsukigime's Longest Day, I made sure to collect pieces that unlocked pictures of Kirara and other characters! Alternatively, as with Final Fantasy XIII-2, you have the paradox endings, completed all (or most?) of those! And currently playing through Lost Dimension for a third time, to unlock the true ending!
