At least for me. (YMMV) I'm more into science fiction. I'll probably check out some of those but "bookworm" is the only one that jumps out at me as something worth taking special note of. efaardvark
That's fine. I'm not saying isekai or fantasy is bad or anything, just not typically my thing. I don't expect everyone (anyone?) to agree with my preference for SF either. I actually did find one of this season's titles possibly interesting in spite of the isekai + fantasy content. "Release that Witch". I'm going to hold off watching the rest until the end of the season so I can binge the whole thing but it passed my early-season 3-episode test. It has a sort of low-key "Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court" (Twain version) angle that I can hang on to.
Ohayotaku
Definitely planning to watch Ascendence of a Bookworm & Re:ZERO, but planning to watch episodes in batches instead of weekly. I’m not sure about Slime, the size of the cast & number of unresolved subplots has become increasingly difficult to keep track of lately. I’m actually looking forward to the latest movie’s US theatrical release (not sure when exactly, but I assume this year). It supposed to be largely stand alone with Gobta getting a chance to play hero for a girl he develops a crush on Witch Hat Atelier is the new series I’m most curious about. The sequels I’m most hyped for are Dorohedoro 2 & Iruma-kun 4. And I always find a number of titles that catch my interest besides.

Hopefully at a theater reasonably close. 21 hours ago, Bulletje76 said: BTW offtopic;..since when is CR watchable on Prime? Just noticed today Not sure, I only keep Prime Video active intermittently, though it looks like Amazon is getting more invested in anime again. I just re-activated to finish The Darwin Incident & will try to find time to check out the Old Country Bumpkin isekai 1st season while I’m at it since it’s apparently getting a sequel later this year

Ohayotaku
2 hours ago, Bulletje76 said: Well not gonna pay for CR if it is within my prime abb It’s not a “free” service, it’s a subscription where there’s an additional fee every month so don’t know if it’ll actually save you money Quote No, Crunchyroll is not free with an Amazon Prime membership. It is available as a paid, add-on channel through Prime Video. While you can subscribe to Crunchyroll through Amazon to manage billing under one account, it requires a separate monthly subscription fee (Fan or Mega Fan) (though it might be possible to get a free 30 day trial if it doesn’t connect your Amazon & CR account emails). Not sure if even that would work though. 2 hours ago, Bulletje76 said: I loved that serie. But this doesnt seem to be season 3? but a different anime? Or am i missing something? MAL lists it as a sequel to Season 3 which aired in 2022. Maybe changing the title to mark a major turning point in Myne’s story. (actually a spoiler for how season 3 ended for anyone who hasn’t already seen it). Also, WIT Studios are taking over the series production which has a reputation for quality adaptions. efaardvark
I just noticed that Angel Next Door is getting another season. The first season was cute and fun. Hope they can keep the same vibe. The first episode looks promising. Farming life sounds familiar. Maybe a year or so ago? If it's the one I'm remembering then I may give the new season a look as well.
