I now present to the the anime Forums, ME!

I come from a far off mysterious land simply know as.... Texas.

(Expect a lot of this from me, sorry in advance)

I'm just going to copy and paste my "About Me" because it is 1:17 AM and I am lazy.

Favorite Anime: Tie between GATE and Steins;Gate. I have a thing about gates apparently.

About Me:

I am your average geek character. You know, the guy who is the comedic best friend of the main character. Yep that is me. I spend a lot of my time alone in my room, watching anime and playing video games. The only social interaction I have is at school and over the internet. I have a lot of free time, probably too much.

I strive to become a Marine Biologist, specifically a Ichthyologist, and even more specifically a Coral Reef Ichthyologist. I'm so into fish that I have been called a "Fish Otaku" by some of my friends. I wear that title with pride.

you won't believe this but just last night I had a dream about fish!!!! Apparently my mum had bought a pair of 'em (no idea what kind of fish ._. ) while they were still alive and wanted me to kill them but I put them in a bag and went to throw them back in the sea XP (I remember I was crying about the poor fish because they didn't deserve to die :o )

So... what do you like about fish? I've watched tons of documentaries about animals but sea creatures are among my favourites because they're so colorful and weird :D

I agree, fish do not deserve to die without good reason, I usually boycott eating fish. (But even I can't resist the urge sometimes. I occasionally eat Sushi)

I am interested in almost everything about fish, but out of everything what I like most about fish is that they are still a mystery. There are hundreds of fish that have been discovered but we still know very little about them (e.g. Coelacanth) and there are probably thousands if not millions of other species of fish that have not yet been discovered in the other <95% of the Ocean we have yet to explore. This may sound strange, but since the Earth's solar system is extremely isolated in the galaxy (our closest solar system is 2 light years away) we probably have a higher chance of finding intelligent life in the oceans than in space.

I just finished Episode 21 today. Episode 22 just came available to me because I am stubborn and refuse to buy premium on Crunchyroll.

so.... you wanna go look for mermaids :P

truth be told though, I agree with that completely... people should focus more on getting to know our planet instead of flying off to other ones that are

Now, that would be an interesting find. The question is: Would a mermaid be under the jurisdiction of Marine Mammalogists, Ichthyologists, or Cryptozoologists. Also if Mermaids do exist, Cryptozoology would be considered an actual scientific field.

Welcome to AF Vigil! I hope you have fun and enjoy your stay. :)

Welcome, newcomer, to Anime Forums! :)

Thank you both for the welcoming messages. I am already enjoying my stay here.

I never thought of it that way, but what you're saying is true :o why are things never simple? (still, mermaids are mammals? I have a feeling they'd be fishier than the disney ones)

They probably would be a lot fishier than Disney mermaids, but to be a mermaid it would have to be in some way a mix of Homo Sapiens and some species of Fish.

Webbed hands, slimey skin, sharpened teeth, lack of ears, no eyelids, gills along the neck. It would probably be in the deep sea, so it would probably have some form of bio luminescence.

Welcome to AF, I don't really know a lot about fish, except raw tuna is tasty. I thoroughly approve of your laziness. I love to be lazy. I have really enjoyed GATE this season, and Steins;Gate is one of my favorite anime

Nothing beats laying in bed all day doing nothing... occasionally getting up to get something to drink but then you place it on a table out of arm's reach and you yell "Curse my short arms!"
