Mars Terra
So it’s often debated whether one should eat the head or tail of this delicious fish-shaped waffle filled with redbean paste, but it really is such a mundane topic, it really shouldn't matter which way you decide to dig in. But how do you prefer to start your taiyaki eating? Personally I eat the head first since it just makes more sense, and since there's no paste in the fins or tail you can use that to help tone down the paste in the rest of the fish. Myouya
I haven't eaten any myself, but I would start by the tail.

Well for me they don't sell it here where I live so that's my reason why I haven't tried it yet. I'd like to though. It's kind of disgusting ... but you can't stop eating once you start. =3 Why the tail, though?
cheesecake
I have never eaten one, but I would start with the head.
