Background wallpaper suggestions

Optic

Question

Hello everyone,

I'm looking for a new set of wallpaper suggestions to help keep the background image rotation fresh.

  • Please link or attach your full size wallpaper below.
  • Resolution must be at least 1920x1080.
  • Where possible choose a wallpaper that highlights the characters towards the top or sides as the content area will be obstructing the middle - though it is slightly transparent.
  • No ecchi please.

Look forward to your suggestions. :)

So, I actually have about 500 more wallpapers to go through, but these are some of my favorites that match your requirements. Also, all of these are tested and work with the site.

What do you all use for the sliding backgrounds? Like how to make them change.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone. :) Will take them into consideration for the next rotation.

That is powered by a jQuery plugin called Backstretch.

Works great visually on all devices BUT if you have too many images in the set it can definitely take up lots of memory.

How user friendly is it for newbs(not much coding experience here) and it should work with other software besides xenforo right? Such as IPB?

It's very simple to use, just upload the files to your server and embed two .JS files in your <head> tags. Then add your list of images and customise the timings below.

Example from the developer's website:

<script src="//ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.8.3/jquery.min.js"></script>
<script src="jquery.backstretch.min.js"></script>

<script>
$.backstretch([
"http://dl.dropbox.com/u/515046/www/outside.jpg"
, "http://dl.dropbox.com/u/515046/www/garfield-interior.jpg"
, "http://dl.dropbox.com/u/515046/www/cheers.jpg"
], {duration: 3000, fade: 750});
</script>
