Well, I tend to be very picky about what I start in the first place and tend to do a lot of digging for info before I do. So, I've not started watching anything and then dropped it. Any anime I've stopped has been due to general apathy and I do intend to restart them all at some point in the future.

Yeah. Even on the internet, it can be hard to find good communities for discussing certain topics on. Offline, at least for me, it's impossible. So, I'm very glad I found this place.

I tend to not openly show my interest in anime. Even my more mainstream interests get an indifferent reaction from those I know, one of "I don't care about/understand it, but I'm not hostile to you enjoying it" so I tend to be wary of showing something that might get a worse reaction. I don't actively try to hide it, but I'll never try to bring it up or mention my interest in it to others.

Anime character deaths that have made you cry?
Bernkastel replied to Bellage's topic in Anime Discussion
I find it very hard to cry. So, I'll instead go for anime that got me in that area of crushing emotions. I do need to think about this a bit, since there's been a lot of time since I've watched quite a few shows. So, I'll provide two for now and come back later with more. The first would be to second Hawky's choice. Kamina's death was shocking, since he seemed almost invincible, and emotional. This was increased by how it affected the other characters and their pain, especially Simon. There's also Chiaki Nanami from the Danganronpa 3 anime, though I admit it might simply be because I'm both a Danganronpa fan and someone who likes Chiaki. -
It's nice to encounter someone else who does that.

I feel energised. I'm going to do a bunch of stuff that I've been meaning to do.

Zero Time Dilemma. It's not the game that's the problem, just my own personal problem of apathy that has also resulted in me having a box of DVDs and several books that have barely been touched. It's a reduced problem now. But there's the upcoming PS4 release of ZTD, which I feel would be better experienced without having recently played ZTD on PSVita, and other games I'm playing to ensure I probably won't finish it soon.

It's been a long time since I've had a pet. I had some fish and there was a point where I had a hamster, though I can't remember much about it. There was also a stray cat that my family treated as a cat. That was great. Cats are wonderful. I wish I had a cat, but I have concerns in regards to how I'd handle any pet at the moment. I don't know. But, if I ever get a cat, you are forbidden from tasting it.

Hi, Jax. Welcome to this forum. I hope you have a good time here. Your status as a NASA employee sounds cool. Could you tell us more about that?

I'll probably check out a few of the bands named so far. Thanks, everyone.

There are quite a few, I'd imagine. For now, here are a few I can think of. Unless I've said something immediately before, I will not start a sentence with the word I. It's usually "Well, I" or "So, could I" or something like that. I will sometimes stop talking mid-sentence because I suddenly decide I don't like the sentence and want to change it. It can be essentially the same thing I'm saying, but I just feel happier. I'll sometimes speak differently in a way that adds a bit more energy to my voice, for the sake of appearing happy, but it is rather artificial and...metronomy? I'm not sure how to describe it, but it is something that I tend to do automatically.

I don't follow Metal and tend to prefer music I hear from various media. Yet I generally like music that is considered to be Metal or a Metal version of some other music when I encounter it. I also have a Rammstein album, which I like.

So far, I've been using the villager clothes. As the main outfit, it just comes off as "some guy's fanart attempting on the internet to make a edgy sexy costume", rather than something anyone would chose. Plus, as you mentioned, there's the whole rags to rags thing. You'd think getting actual clothes again would be something Velvet would seek after being like that for so long, rather than being all "fanservice clothing permits better manoeuvrability and the random belts help too. Somehow". It's probably a bit more annoying when it's not that long since I watched a let's play of Nier, where one character has a fanservice outfit in part so the writer can make a ton of jabs at stupid fanservice constumes via the reactions/comments of other characters. As for the DLC, that's weirdly impressive, having fanservice clothing that's more practical than her actual clothes.

Hmm, that's hard to say. I've listened to a lot music and my favourites change, often simply due to my mood at the time. Currently, I'm spending a lot of time listening to music from the Persona 5 and Nier/Nier:Automata soundtracks. I'm fond of the soundtracks for the Danganronpa series and can second the Silent Hill 2 and 3 soundtracks. The C&C: Red Alert theme is something I've always liked. I'll say more at a later point, but here are a few pieces. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nKsZD9R8ohk http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ady--PNMsfI http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SN3Dcx5z8wU http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HAgW21bSV9s http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iwFipEMmUNw

I've played up to Hellawes and briefly looked around. Then I stopped because it was late. So far, I like it. The characters and the interaction between them has certainly been a positive so far. The main character's outfit does harm the serious aspect a bit. But I'll add that the combat system does have interesting aspects to it and I am intrigued so far by the plot.

Quite a lot happens in episode 3 and 4. I was happy with the first two, but those next two have gotten me hooked. Lucky Star is pretty good, though it's been a while since I watched it. I'll probably get the blu ray version at some point in the future.
-
I've only watched the first four episodes so far. How embarrassing. I've enjoyed them and will watch the rest, though I've had more than enough time to watch it all. I blame Nier: Automata for distracting me.

It's reassuring to read this. I watched A Silent Voice a few days ago and had the same opinion as you do. It was very good, but not the ultimate masterpiece that some make it out to be. It was an emotional experience and that is an achievement, but I was not close to crying at any point in the movie. So, it's good to see your opinion, instead of being left wondering if I'm dead inside or something.

Well, the combat mechanics were handled by the same company (Platinum games). Anyway, I ended up deciding to get Tales of Berseria and Metro Redux, a remastered collection of the to Metro games which were based off the superb Metro book series by Dmitry Glukhovsky.

I'm not surprised. I heard it was a problem with Higurashi's anime adaptation too, though the source VN was relatively less dense and reliant on a ton of connections, so compressing it had less of an effect. Even then, I've seen plenty of Higurashi fans who are dissatisfied with it, though not to the degree that UMineko VN fans tends to be dissatisfied with the Umineko anime. Then there's the whole red/blue text thing. I hope you try it and enjoy it.

At the moment I'd say Kobayashi herself. I liked her a lot and also found her to be relatable in terms of personality.

I'm feeling low and somewhat annoyed about various things, as I tend to. But I'm getting paid tomorrow. So, I'm a bit happier than usual.
-
To clarify, I'll be getting paid tomorrow and I'm eager to get something. So, advice regarding my query would be more valuable the sooner it appears.

It's fine. I have a bit of a sweet tooth. It's either stuff like that or stuff right on the opposite end, like vodka, that I prefer. But alcohol is alcohol. Yeah, I'll probably end re-watching it some time in the near future. That's great to hear, and thanks for the welcome.
