  1. The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky 1 and 2 are really good if you don't mind long JRPGs! They have excellent world building and lots of rewarding sidequests. The music is really good too.
  2. I finished To Every You I've Loved Before and boy was it confusing. I'm hoping watching its counterpart movie will clear things up.

  3. I decided to try Demon Slayer and it hasn't impressed me so far. The story just doesn't engage me in any way. My friends tell me it gets good around episode 10, so I'm going to continue giving it a chance. If I still don't like the series very much I'll just drop it.
  4. I started Nana the other day. I like the dynamic between both leads so far. They contrast each other nicely while still getting along with each other. The music is pretty good too.
  5. I was diagnosed with autism when I was 4. Not being able to understand subtle body language and facial expressions is rough for me. To make things worse I’m also not the best at evaluating social situations. There were lots of times where I was completely oblivious to how people felt about me. The stigma around autism is really bad. How nice people are when they find out varies wildly. I find talking and being friends with other autistic people helps. They tend to be more tolerant of differences and tend to be similarly passionate about hobbies and interests.
  6. I played some more Atelier Ryza 2. This time I stuck with watching and unlocking character cutscenes.
  7. I played some more Atelier Ryza 2 and made a good amount of progress. I also played a little Famicom Detective Club in the car while waiting for things.
  8. I’m finishing up Nichijou after taking a break from it. I’d say the first half of the anime is better, but the second half still has some great moments. The art and animation are consistently good throughout though.
  9. Cold, overcast, and it’s sprinkling a bit.
  10. I picked up Omori on the Switch and started playing it. It’s a really solid port. The backgrounds are pleasant and the touch screen controls are a nice detail.
  11. I’ve gotten back into Tales of Vesperia Definitive Edition. The combat still feels weird to me, but the story is good.
  12. I honestly think Bocchi The Rock is just decent at best. A lot of people hype it up to be among the best of what the genre offers, but I disagree. The events that happen in the show just aren't that interesting and most of the characters are quite forgettable. I vastly prefer Yuru Camp and Non Non Biyori. One of the anime I picked back up is Kimagure Orange Road. The protagonist is an immature sleaze, but the animation is quite nice and the soundtrack is corny in the best way. I can see exactly how this show ends though.
  13. I’ve been playing The Witcher 3 for the first time off and on (can’t progress in the main story currently due to a glitch). On the side I’m playing Xenoblade Chronicles 3, Narcissus, Hatsune Miku: Mega Pack, and Chaos Head;Noah. Lastly I’m replaying Pokémon Black 2 off and on.
  14. Played some Hatsune Miku Project Diva: Mega Mix and completed another sidequest on The Witcher 3.
  15. I think I just predicted a huge plot twist for Chainsaw Man. If it’s true it’ll change everything.

  16. Slightly above freezing temperatures and partly cloudy.
  17. Listening to Japanese radio stations through an international radio app is such a trip. The talk show hosts all talk a mile per minute. Music choices range from American punk to the latest J-pop (and the occasional traditional ballad). The weirdest station was one in rural Hokkaido that was nothing but religious talks about kami-Sama (God). Japan isn't a religious country, so that one really stood out.

@Soramee_I use Radiogarden! Aside from Japanese stations it’s a lot of fun finding stations in remote places. I found a station in a remote Alaskan island with less than 500 people just yesterday.

@efaardvarkI should’ve been a bit more specific. I was surprised to find a Christian station since the majority of Japanese people are either into Shinto or Buddhism. I’ve encountered my fair share of religious stations, especially when I lived in rural Oregon.

@Neb Yes, a Christian-specific station would be a bit rare.  The "other" category (in terms of religion) in Japan after Shinto and Buddhism is somewhat less than 10% and Christianity specifically is maybe 1-2% overall.

Do the DJs and announcers shout a lot or speak very loudly in their speech?

  18. I swear every episode of Chainsaw Man is more insane than the last. If part 2 is as exciting as I've heard from manga readers, things will definenatly ramp up.

  19. It’s slightly below freezing and the sky is clear. The snow still hasn’t melted all the way.
  20. I didn’t game too much today. I mostly just played some Mario Kart.
  21. As much as I love Chainsaw Man, the show can get really gruesome at times. I don't know if I could've handled all the violence if it came out when I was younger...

  22. I mainly play JRPGs, simulation games, visual novels, rhythm games, open world games, and small indie titles. Occasionally I play action and racing games too. My favorite games into those genres are Anodyne 2, The House in Fata Morgana, Ace Attorney Investigations 2, Pokémon Black 2, Xenoblade Chronicles 3, Persona 5 Royal, Euro Truck Simulator 2/American Truck Simulator, Beat Saber, and Trails of Cold Steel 4.
  23. I have to take my dog out quite frequently and pick up his poop, which gets frustrating at times. I live on the 9th floor of my apartment building mind you, so I have to put on my shoes, walk inside the always busy elevator, keep him away from the neighbor’s dogs who are also out, wait 5 minutes for him to sniff around, and then take him back up. Rinse and repeat this several times a day. Doing laundry at my apartment is also a total pain. There are around 25 washers in my apartment building and most of them are usually full because people don’t come down to pick up their clothes right away. I either have to wash my clothes very far apart from each other or take out someone else’s clothes that are already clean and put them on top of the washer. There have been two times when people would get angry at me for taking their clothes out, but I had no choice. They left their clothes in there for hours and there wasn’t any more room.
