As @Ohayotaku already pointed out there are a few places in the story where action picks up a bit, but it'll still be a chore to get through if action is what you're going for. It's not an overly interesting anime so far in my opinion and I'm especially surprised that one article I saw was even suggesting it could be the greatest anime of all time. Don't make me laugh.

I'm a few episodes into Deadman Wonderland right now, it's fairly interesting and curious to see where the story goes.

thank you a lot. Sorry but than i am not convinced

Most of the action is in the 2nd half (cour) of the season which centers on a HxH style licensing exam. Though I do remember a few action scenes in the first half. But flashbacks & moments of reflection are very much defining characteristics of the series.

Hope you like shock value. Actually was kinda impressed with season 1, but the sequel movie & 2nd season felt excessive & more than a little creepy/pervy.

For myself, will probably focus on catching up on Apothecary Diaries tonight before finishing Ninja & Assassin and Rock is a Lady’s Modesty tomorrow.

    OKay thanks a lot mate.

I just finished The Too-Perfect Saint: Tossed Aside by My Fiancé and Sold to Another Kingdom. Nothing great but considering the GFX and storyline and especially the end;...i give it a 7/10. Perhaps a bit generous score. But if you are bored;..something to watch

  3. The good thing about getting older, is that i dont give a rats ass anymore what people think of me. When i was 16 years old i wanted cool clothes and watch cool movies. And tell everybody. Now i just watch what i enjoy and i dont care .People must be happy i dont post photos on social media with me sitting for my big tv watching CR in a weird pajama with chips and grease on my shirt

Assume you’re talking about Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End. I personally feel like it’s probably the most consistently well executed anime out there. What I mean is that most series have high points but also low points. I don’t have any real criticism, but not much in the way of highlights either. Never disappointed, but didn’t really wow me either. Frequently made me reflect on things, but never made me tear up. No real gut punch or adrenaline rush moments. Frequently made me chuckle, but not really lol. The worldbuilding is quite good though. A really “solid” title, but not overly hyped about it. I gave it a 9 on MAL, but 8.5 would probably be closer for me. It’s ranked as the #1 anime on MAL, but would personally put Vinland Saga & Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood ahead of it.

I finished Gorilla Girl as well. As previously noted, it didn’t do anything particularly well, gave it a 5/10. Since it dropped the ball on the comedy aspect, I resumed watching a Ninja & Assassin Under One Roof. Had initially set it aside because Konoha seemed too mean spirited, but she’s mellowed somewhat & usually offers at least a couple chuckles per episode. Currently 6/10.

Also finished Fire Force season 3 (pt 1). Did a pretty good job of giving the various characters their moments while revisiting past plot points as they set up for the final cour next year. Didn’t really have the adrenaline rush moments I seem to remember from past seasons though & the ending scene was kinda WTF? I’ll probably rewatch from season 1 before the finale next year. Gave it an 8/10 (rounded up from 7.5)

Sorry voor my late response,..was busy at the office.

So Frieren does has some action or fantasy? It is not all looking back in never-ending memories?

I deleted Gorrila girl from my own memories LOL. Never want to think about it. I also watched Ninja and assassin. And yes that is also bit childish and cheesy. but you know me,..i dont like most comedy in anime, but this serie gave me some laughs.

I have tonight and tomorrow off from work./ So searching what to watch. ai is confident that 'made in Abyss' would be top notch for me

  5. I am proud with myself. I was able to finish The Gorilla God's Go-To Girl. Like i mentioned before it is nauseating romantic and sweet. and some of the story stuff is so weak. The bad guy can run from bullets but not a chandelier (not really a spoiler)

But i sat through it and just finished episode 12. Now i need some good isekai to clean my pallet (is that correct english?). I am open for recommendations for good fantasy adventure

@Ohayotakuthis reminds me,..i forgot the name but 1 year ago there was this anime about an elf looking back. Friezen something. I watched 1 episode but stopped because i dont like when the entire season is looking back. But it had high scores. If you know which one i am talking about,..can you perhaps pls provide a small review?

Will respond with series I’m looking forward to or curious about later (probably tonight or tomorrow).

Hahahaha this could have saved me a lot of time the last few years if i knew this beforehand. Thanks. Will use it from now on

BTW,...not much romance or slice of life for you this season mate :D

  7. Where the spring season was not the best for me, the summer is looking good for a isekai, fantasy, action lover like myself. I will watch these:

  8. Just watched the last episode of The Unaware Atelier Meister.

It was a bit of a disappointment. I enjoyed this serie the last few months, but the end was done very hastily. Not only did the end the storyline abruptly, they managed to start and finish some new storylines in the last episode. Weird.

  9. As i mentioned before i am a fan of The Beginning After the End, a very fun isekai this year.

I was so disappointed it got low CR scores. Unfair. And i was afraid there will never be a season2 . However yesterday they confirmed there will be a season 2 in 2026. Yippeeeee

You're a tough guy even trying it. It's banner at the top of CR was enough to turn me away from it.

Well i am sick at home so i have the time to be less selective. And i read it was adventure and about people who special powers related to animals. And the first 3 episodes  were not the worst. A 6 out of 10. but then, omg,....they spend like 3 episodes with no story. Very childish romance. Will they kiss,..will they hold hands. Dare we say we love eachother, shall we buy a gift?. And thats okay,..but not for 3 full eps LOL

  11. Watched 'The beginning after the end'. Will not go into another rant haha nut that this has a 3.8 on CR is beyond me. This is one of the best isekai i have ever seen. And i saw a lot. This ep was again great. Now of to todays healer ep

I wasn't trying to grill you either, mind you, I guess I just saw an opening for a debate and went at it.

I tried to watch Alderamin but didn't care for it enough to hang on. Considering it's reviews on CR though, I'm surprised it didn't get a second season.

Oh i didnt feel grilled. No worries. The next day i read my reply back and noticed it was to agressive and i used words and arguments that were unbecoming of a fan forum. I will go into debate with you some other time.

To bad you didnt stuck with alderamin. The serie gets better with every episode.

Watching The Too-Perfect Saint: Tossed Aside by My Fiancé and Sold to Another Kingdom now, the last 2 eps released. But somehow i lost my interest in this show. Will finish it though,

I realize this is simply a short blast of subjective frustration, which we're all entitled to indulge in occasionally, but I have to say I don't really agree with the takeaway here. You claim that nerds around the world are boosting the ratings of certain kinds of anime but, why exactly is that a bad thing, and, what exactly is a nerd? You're an IT manager. I would think that to some degree we're all nerds in a way. Also, a lot of Japanese women watch anime as well. Whether or not they're rating the anime on CR as much as the male viewership is I have no idea, but calling out two groups of people like that as deciding all of CR's rating system doesn't seem accurate to me. There are also large breast sizes in Japan, maybe not as many, but no one is out here actually looking like Rangiku and not experiencing some back pain. Manga/anime embellish this because large breasts are appealing, and not just to Japanese men.

Solo Leveling won CR's anime of the year, Frieren got a lot of attention, Demon Slayer, Ninja Kamui, Apothecary Diaries, none of which have anything anywhere near extreme (at least so far) in terms of strong sexual innuendo or busty character designs outside of perhaps certain women in Apothecary Diaries but that's for historical accuracy, and a couple of characters in Demon Slayer. Re:ZERO won best Isekai anime and compared to other Isekai it's quite tame on the sexual front. I think it's more likely that you tend to enjoy anime that doesn't usually resonate with other people, which is all good, but doesn't mean that everyone is just interested in weird stuff.

And to keep this somewhat on topic, I watched the new episodes of Fire Force and Apothecary Diaries last night. Big things happening for both anime right now and I'm really enjoying both.

It was indeed a blast of frustration, perhaps also ignited by a difficult day at work and private. All though i mean the global thought behind it, i was way to harsh. i apologize. Perhaps this week later i will try to make my point in a more civilized manner

I just watched Alderamin on the Sky. I liked it, all though every episode got darker. To bad there never came a 2nd season

  14. Watching reign of the seven spellblades for the 2nd time. Love it. For me one of the best 'magic school anime'. Again a low score on CR and MAL.

I keep getting more annoyed by those scores. What scores well is things nerds in the world like and Japanese men. The first like romantic stuff since they cant get any, the second like girl with big breasts (none in Japan), lollipop and unnecessary sexual talk and also some normal slice of life.

I have seen great anime fall into weird romances and the scores go up. So annoying.
