  1. That Cowboy Bebop song was beautiful; thank you for sharing! Sadly, that second song's video is supposedly unavailable in my country (USA).
  2. Huh, interesting song. I never watched that anime, so I had never heard this song. Thanks for sharing!
  3. Like, an internet proxy? Or a physical one? Well, I guess Google could tell me more. Thanks for the suggestion!
  4. I know there's a thread about favorite OPs from a couple months ago, but I want to hear y'all's favorite anime song in general - from any part of any anime! I guess you could link to the video in the thread, too. Mine would probably have to be one of Space Battleship Yamato 2199's endings, 「記憶の光」 (Kioku no Hikari): I also just really like KOKIA in general. So, please share your favorite anime music as well!
  5. Ah, these are those cute folders that are more like dividers without holes for a binder, right? I kind of wanted to buy one, but they would be kind of useless to me. I just use a thin paper folder with a plastic pocket divider for most of my classes. If they were built like a pocket divider, with holes punched, then I'd probably use them though. I'd probably be judged for it, but it'd be worth it if they had functional value. Oh, and that's a pretty nice collection!
  6. Cool! I used to play a lot of Minecraft, back when it just barely got into the beta stage of development. I've been thinking about getting back into it, maybe in the summer. Just a head's up, there should be an "Edit" button under your sig that will allow you to edit your post after making it. That way, you don't have to make a whole new post to correct an error. Also, if you click the reply button on a post, you can scroll back up and click reply on a different post, and both will be quoted in your reply (like I did here). This will also keep you from having to make multiple posts.
  7. Romance and horror, huh? Have you seen School Days? haha Welcome to the forums!
  8. Hey Chalsie, welcome to the forums! I like your avatar!
  9. I've actually never heard or seen anyone say this before, so I think it's pretty cool that it's your favorite anime. It's a pretty neat show (though I still need to finish the last season that recently ended). Oh, and welcome to the forums! We're glad to have you!
  10. Hey Gess, welcome to AF! I basically found these forums in the same way you did. I hope you come to enjoy your time here!
  11. I see. Thank you for the information, and good luck if you do attempt the N4. Let us know how that goes!

Wow, that was a pretty impressive little fire show. I hope the manufacturers do something about this.
  13. Hey, welcome to Anime Forums! I hope you're able to make some good friends here, and maybe even find those wallpapers you're looking for!

Those things can explode?! They seemed pretty harmless to me! I'm sure there are dozens of people who use them (without safety gear) at my University, but I've yet to hear of any accidents involving them. Maybe they haven't been using them intensely enough? Normally people are just riding them between class, at about walking speeds. Still, good on Amazon for pulling a potentially unsafe product from their store.
  15. Huh, I've never heard of anyone drinking an energy drink to get through gaming or watching anime. Normally those are stimulating enough to keep me awake! I think I started drinking energy drinks about 2 years ago, probably because of classes like organic chemistry (I had never needed the boost before college). I started with monster, and came to like the taste quickly enough (especially in the tea-type drinks), but now I don't like the taste anymore. I've tried Rockstar once, but it was basically a gross soda that made me feel gross. My current go-to drink is the standard Red Bull, and I actually really like the taste now (though I originally converted because it has way less [sketchy] ingredients than Monster). I used to drink tea, too, but it's too much trouble for me to prepare the stuff, when I can just crack open a nice cold can of Red Bull. I don't get why people say that coffee is any better. I really dislike the taste, so if I put enough sugar and creamer to make it palatable I'd end up with more fat than caffeine.
  16. Oh no, a new contender appears... I guess this means I win.
  17. Hello, and welcome, Luna! I hope you enjoy your time here! I don't have time for video games or YouTube until the summer and winter breaks, but I'll still be your friend if that's okay with you! What are your favorite games? P.S. Your avatar is adorable!
  18. This wealth of information... Beautiful! Thank you so much, Optic! This seems to be exactly what I was looking for.
  19. I have seen HxH (the new one), and it was amazing! I haven't seen Nana or Usagi Drop, but if you're putting them in the same league as HxH then I'll have to take a look! Gotta build up a backlog for the coming summer break, too. Thanks for the recommendations! Thank you!
  20. Thank you, Yuuki! I wouldn't say that I do have a favorite genre. :0 I think I enjoy most, except for the kind of anime that regularly gets rated 6 or below on MAL (like most magical girl anime). Generally speaking, I like emotional anime. This can be anything as intense as AnoHana, to something as fun as One Piece (which has emotional backstories for most characters). Oh! Well then, I have no idea why I thought that, haha. Sorry!
  21. I just bought a pretty big 3-shelf bookcase, and I am really excited about it. I've noticed, since starting college, that surface area is invaluable. Having somewhere proper to put my books and school stuff is wonderful, compared to stacking everything on my dresser. One day, when I get a well-paying job, I'll probably cover the thing in anime figures, hehehe.
  22. Hello good people of AF! I've recently started a small collection of Japanese books, mostly children's books. Sadly, I seem to have exhausted my local used-bookstore's supply of Japanese children books. Does anyone know where I could buy lower-to-intermediate-level books written in Japanese? Online or in-store works for me, as long as they ship to Texas (or it's within driving distance)! On a related note, I would kind of like to purchase the OverLord series of light novels. However, Japanese websites won't ship them to me with an American credit card. Does anyone know of a good website where I could buy them and have them shipped to me? If possible, I'd prefer to avoid a proxy website (the kind that let you buy Japanese goods, and then they ship it to you). Alternatively, does anyone know any good bookstores in Japan that sell either children's books or light novels? I plan on visiting the country for the first time this coming May, and I hope to buy as much as I can carry before the end of that week! I've been studying the language for a while now, so the store doesn't have to be English-friendly. Sorry for asking so many questions! If you have a reply for even one of them, or just a comment, I'd love to hear it! Thanks!
