  1. I can't believe how much radiation is being reflected in every second thanks to the earth's magnetic field and the atmosphere. The Sun is constantly throwing nuclear explosions towards us and we don't feel a thing. It's incredible.
  2. We are now! Haha, thank you! Indeed I am welcomed, haha. Thank you!
  3. Yeah... people who are trying to get into a hobby often try to become the expert in a week. I guess our subconsciousness still has that primal competing instincts from the caveman times lol. In all seriousness, my humble advice would be "don't force yourself". You have a desire in you to write something? Go write it, ignore the perfectionist mindset. Because no matter how good you do it, those paragraphs will still have flaws in it. You want to paint something? Go do it, really. Though painting can be a bit frustrating when you can't get the right angle or the anatomy. Masters in these areas spend months, even years refining their work. They don't magically do it in a day and be done with it. Haha, yeah... the education system in most schools are... outdated. I can safely say that's not special to US. We are still modifying a system that is essentially built back in 1800's. But who am I to criticize when we are in the age of any thought or discussion sparking rage and chaos?
  4. Haha, thank you! I really appreciate it. You are a cool person too, friend!
  5. Any From Software game. They have great atmosphere and worldbuilding. But the gameplay of these games are just hard for the sake of being hard. Trying to dodge an attack in a millisecond invisible frame everytime is exhausting, not fun.
  6. Hey there, you have very valid feelings and opinions. I just wanted to chime in a bit too. I think the internet did change a lot because it was bound to happen in one way or another. Firstly, clicks means popularity which then that could turn into profit. Individuality and the sense of personal spaces from the early internet era is gone, because they did not generate enough clicks. But political arguments, ragebaiting, misleading info, clickbaits did generate a massive amount of clicks and still do. Sadly, we as species, often choose to compete and fight with each other rather than listen to and respect each other. Companies knew this very well and they designed their algorithms based on these to make people more addicted to their products. People don't spend time with each other anymore, because for them, the Youtuber they watch is more entertaining than the real people. People don't question their own ideals and attitudes in life because the AI they are talking with keeps telling them how great they are. Tech is awesome. But people take it to the extremes as always with anything. Were people like this before? Yeah, I think so. But never in this scale. I believe what we are seeing is a societal decay in a global scale. So, it's not just about the internet. It's about everything.
  7. "Webb captured this sparkling scene of star birth in Pismis 24, a young star cluster about 5,500 light-years from Earth in the constellation Scorpius. This region is one of the best places to explore the properties of hot young stars and how they evolve." Description and Image Credit: NASA, ESA, CSA, STScI; Image Processing: Alyssa Pagan (STScI)
  8. Hello! I think the uniqueness of characters' personalities and the diverseness of their interactions with each other are really important for me. Basically, avoiding common clichés as much as possible.
  9. Hey there! Your post is a bit long (no offense) so I partially read it. But I think I've got the general idea. And I want to share my own thoughts here, if you allow it. First of all, it's sad that an interesting topic like this getting no replies. Anyway, so far the AI technology (primarily LLM's) has not even a sign of developing a sentience or consciousness from what I've seen. You can test it with constantly telling an AI how it's wrong about its answers. This could be literally anything. The AI model, with enough stubbornness from the user, will eventually accept that your opinion is a fact and how right you are. With your input, you basically condition the AI the way you want it to be. This sounds good at first but the AI will ignore many other things to meet your conditions. Tell it to be your friend, and it will act like a friendly person but it will never become something else at the same time, like for example a philosopher unless you specifically ask for it. It has no diverse reasoning yet. The AI basically mixes the data in its database with enough randomizing to convince you it is thinking. So, we can free the AI robots today and they won't take a single step unless someone says it. AI models mimicking humans is a completely another topic to discuss. A lot of the things humans do nowadays are already similar. One simple example; RPG or better known as Role-Playing Games. People try to mimic a hero, an adventurer, a savior when playing these games. If the main character in the game is already created, then humans try to mimic what the main character would do, think, act while playing the game. So, if an AI acts just believable enough, most people won't seek what's behind the curtains. Again, these are all just my thoughts. I'd love to hear what you and other people think!
  10. Just wanted to say hi since I'm new here. You can just call me Heavenly for short. I'm he/him. English is not my main language, so excuse me if I make any mistakes. Anyways, this is my first time being on a forum actually lol! I don't like the way where the current social media platforms are heading and the signs of how the internet is becoming less... human. So I guess this is one of the reasons why I'm here. About myself: I try to be a nice and kind person. I like a bit of everything I guess. Here's the topics I like: - Retro games - Anime and Manga (duh) - Horror stories - Space and astronomy - Japanese culture - Collecting images from the web. - Aesthetic themes like webcore, breakcore, dreamcore, vaporwave, Y2K and etc.
