      Dude’s had cameos in anime for decades. Project A-ko & Higurashi come to mind. Though the bishie version appears to be more recent.

      Shouldn’t come as a surprise considering the japanese have managed to reimagine everything from battleships to assault rifles to Chuck Yeager as hotties.
