Your probably just in your down season? This happens to me and my friends. Some binge for like 1 month. One month can't watch anymore. Binge for another month. I think it's normal.

Yeah, I always stop watching for several years before finding interest in it again. It's nothing new for me. I've never really been super into it anyway though

Actually, at this point, I may as well say I've dropped anime entirely. Who knows when I'll ever bother watching it again

Today! Ahh, what a beautifully painful day.

 

Been rather "ill" recently, kind of made myself "ill" with a whole string of unfortunate events.

 

Been working far too hard on head boy applications and publicity for my school, it's just completely burnt me out everywhere.

Exam mocks... daily... all of a sudden. My right hand hurts so damn much.

 

Just been so damn drained and I had shut myself off from absolutely everyone because the only thing I was doing was working, I never stopped. Completely unlike me. It sucked.

 

What tops it all off? Got completely and utterly and unfathomably hammered last night. Probably the first time I've been properly drunk and it was absolutely awful. There is no way in hell I'm going near that s*** again. 1 and a half wine glasses of 40% vol gin. Revolting stuff. I think the experience has done me good though, quite the wake up call it was. Kind of prompted me to sort myself out.

 

Waking up with no memory of the previous night, bin of puke next to my bed. Classic.

 

Don't drink, anybody.

And don't do homework either. I tried it out and it sucks. Games are more fun.

I slept in a bathtub once because I drank too much and wouldn't stop puking. All I remember is starting this godawful drinking game, complete blackout in the middle, then going to sleep in the tub.

Have you ever watched an anime and felt a strange sinking sensation as you fell off a cliff of madness, down a rabbit hole, or into a hall of mirrors? Basically, have you ever watched an anime with a strange plot? Which anime? Why was it strange? Did you find the gold at the end of the rainbow?

 

I actually run into a lot of anime that I feel are pretty strange, but for my own example, I'll just cite Girls und Panzer. At first glance, it's just "cute girls doing cute things", but if you really think about it, then things start to seem a little strange. I found myself thinking about the circumstances that could lead to an isolated world where girls engage in fierce battle in tanks.

 

Think about it. What about casualties? Are they training for some kind of war? If so, then are they always at war? Is everyone always at war? Why the hell are tanks only for girls? What's up with the schools? Where are all of the men/boys?!?!?! Are they all prisoners!? IS THIS A WEIRD SOCIETY OF TANK DRIVING AMAZONIAN WARRIORS!?!?!

 

Anyway. I'm sure that I'm not the only one that has watched some pretty weird stuff, hahah. Pls don't let me be the only one to post.

OMG yes! Girls und Panzer is a fantastic example of this. I found the show to be a bit too cutesy at first for my tastes, but it was just so strange and like....what the hell kind of world is this? So of course I had to keep watching.

I vaguely remember feeling similar about Gunslinger Girl. But it's been quite awhile since I've seen that and I remember very little of the plot. Just the idea of having little girls as assassins baffled me. Like, why does that even happen?

Favourite genre of music?

So, this tabletop simulator thing, is it any good?

I tried it out for the first time yesterday, I'd say it's definitely worth the money (I didn't pay for it though, I received it as a gift from my favourite people), and it does seem to go on sale a lot

What would you do if you encountered somebody that recommended you read every book in the world, regardless of whether or not it were religious, saying in an extremely shy manner, "this is a very good book"?

Okay, first of all: I'm gonna clone myself

Secondly: make like.....at least 16,000 clones, at least.

Next step: link all my clones together with me like some sort of hive mind but able to carry out individual tasks (so we share knowledge)

Finally: proceed to try and read every single book

I'm a bit of a weird mix of emotions right now. It's a combination of good and bad. Usually when I'm like this, it just confuses me and I wind up feeling neutral.

But right now it feels as if though the good is on the surface and the bad is just beneath.

Actually it even creates a vivid image in my mind: a frozen lake.

Sure, there's ice, and you could probably get across fairly far if you're careful. But it's not completely frozen yet and has many weak spots, you could fall through at any moment.

Aaaand that's how I'm feeling!

@Cy~, we share a similar speech quirk! I can be incredibly annoying to be around because I tend to make random sounds.

As for other speech quirks:

-I deliberately say "fack" instead of fuck.

-if someone near me mixes up their words, I automatically say, "sounds like you're having trouth moubles and getting your mords wixed!" I've said this enough times in my life that I can't say "mouth troubles" or "words mixed" without great effort on my part.

-she was all like, and then I was like, so he goes....

-sometimes something will catch my attention mid-speech and that tends to result in whatever word I was saying to be really long and drawn out until I regain focus.

Typing quirks:

I'm actually not sure about this one. The main thing I notice is that I will use "eh?" a lot more while typing, but I don't actually say it that often. I think it developed years ago where I started doing it as a joke because I'm Canadian. Now it's just habit. But lately I've noticed I'm starting to do it a whole lot less.
