  1. +1 I think it's a rule that all Lancers in the Fate universe - the mainline one, anyway, the spin offs haven't really been my cup of tea - need to be incredibly awesome, and have incredibly terrible luck. With that said, Daryun from Arslan Senki is an awesome character, and struck me as being a cut above most warrior archetype characters - he'd be my number one pick, though Lancer (and the other Lancer, as well) definitely deserves an honorable mention.
  2. I'm a locksmith by trade, though I've also worked as the IT Manager for a small business, wherein I had the dubious honor of having to babysit their IBM AS400 system and providing extremely low level tech support to a lot of older folks who were unfamiliar with obscure technical terminology like "desktop" and "icon". I do not miss it. in recent years, however, my locksmith license has been left to expire as I've transitioned into a fairly stereotypical housewife role. I enjoy it --- I don't have to deal with nearly as many ... lovely ... people as I used to. Helpdesk work is hell. I feel your pain.
  3. Ahh, I gotcha. Mora and Saya are who I typically gravitate toward. Saya is absolutely adorable, and one of my favorite characters in existence. Thank you for the welcome! Nothing wrong with a bit of evil in my book, being morally flexible can be extremely useful at times. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ That said, I generally trend toward 'good' unless faced with sufficient motivation or necessity. My wife, on the other hand, tends to score either neutral evil or chaotic evil, across the board, on online test thingies. I love her for it, and encourage her bad behavior. I swear I'm a good influence. As to the question of what to refer to me by... ... I kid, I kid. Dudette would be appropriate here. Or, perhaps, Zoopette. Hello, and thank you. I must say that it has been highly pleasant here so far.
  4. I'm vaguely half-way reasonable with Miyako myself, though her dreadfully short reach is definitely not something I'm terribly fond of. Would that make you a Ruili player in Nitroplus?
  5. I intend to grab a Vive at some point in the next couple years - I figure giving it a bit of time for the technology to mature, and for more software to support it can't hurt at all. Lower price points would be spiffy, but I wouldn't mind if they kept the Vive's price at around its current point to allow for improved hardware. Current and emerging VR technology may not be perfect, but I definitely am of the opinion that it can provide some wonderful and unique experiences --- writing it off wholesale just seems a bit silly, especially this early in the game. I'm hoping that things keep moving forward, and that they don't lose steam. I'd also hope and pray for a Silent Hill VR experience, but knowing Konami, if such a thing were ever created it would just end up being a virtual reality pachinko parlor.
  6. Nope, super quick and pretty straight forward. sry Arcana Heart took me a fair while to really get a good feel for, to be honest, and I never really got too far with it. As much as I enjoy dabbling with Blasterz, it's looking like it'll be the same sort of deal there as well. Who are your Melty Mains? I typically go for White Len, Ryougi Shiki, Satsuki, or Crimson Arcueid. Sadly, despite being one of my favorite characters (and my spirit animal, according to those around me), I'm completely incapable of playing Riesbyfe with any degree of success. Won't stop me from using her as an avatar, though. It's never too late for introductions! Sure, I charge a low rate of $499.99 per five minutes with a two hour minimum, alongside travel and lodging fees.
  7. I must commend the both of you for your impeccable good taste. In addition to loving the two characters above, I absolutely adore Youko Nakajima from Twelve Kingdoms. Her character development and growth through the course of her story is wonderful, delightful to watch, and I would say sorely underrated. Her path from sullen student to absolute glory is one that has rarely been matched in my opinion.
  8. Alas, my heart already belongs to another. The Elsa / Heart duo was always my main go-to in that game, though I've since largely moved on from it at this point. I mostly stick to Melty Blood, Undernight, and have been dabbling with Nitroplus Blasterz here and there. Soul Calibur is a favorite as well, though I found the most recent entry to be a major let down. That might be due to my bias as a decade-long Seung Mina main, though. You should give it a shot sometime! Strawberry shortcake can be an amazingly simple thing to make - this guide is super easy to follow and results in some lovely stuff. It's well worth it! Strawberries are basically one of best things on this planet.
  9. Thank you! I'm pretty good with thin crust pizza, spaghetti sauces, meatballs, jambalaya, sloppy joes, shortcakes, strawberry deserts of various kinds, and apple fritters. A fairly random list that is always growing. I also make killer burritos that put anything Chipotle has to offer to shame. Hah, no worries about that - after you've replied to enough welcome threads they sometimes all start to blend together. I appreciate it all the same, though!
  10. I'm not entirely certain as of yet! That'll depend on how social I'm feeling in the coming days, I suppose.
  11. A minor bit of thread necromancy. My PC is by far definitely my main gaming platform --- these days I mostly play indie titles and an occasional visual novel, though I mix it up here and there with a rare AAA game here and there... keeps me from having to worry about updating any more than once in a great blue moon. Beyond that, I've always been a huge fan of Nintendo consoles and am extremely hyped up for the Switch. With that said, I generally end up buying all (or nearly all) major console at some point down the line when they're dirt cheap so I can catch up on the one or two exclusive games I feel like I've missed out on, though the PS4 and XBONE haven't really caught my eye at all so far. If you'll excuse the tangent, I'd be interested in knowing what your favorites are? Clannad is an easy first place for me, with Saya no Uta and Planetarian up there with it.
  12. Introduction threads have never really been something that I have an easy time with, but here goes. Hello, good day, salutations, happy birthday, and all of that. I'm Zoop, an avid fan of anime and Japanese media in general. I've been floating around the internet for a little while looking for a decent place to post random bits of nonsense and happened stumbled upon this place. Figured it was worth taking a look at! Apart from enjoying random bits of Japanese stuff, I'm also an avid - though not particularly good - fighting game fan, pretty decent cook, recovering coffee addict, and part time lover of Nintendo things. So --- yeah. Hello!
