Of course, it would affect your time. It's another human being that is in your life. But it does depend on what your aim is with your relationship, because if it's for self-gain then don't waste your time. But if it is to love someone else, in sacrifice, then go for it. Otherwise don't hurt yourself or others by indulging in foolery. Instead deal with what you have as a single person, learn what it means to live. What is the point if you don't even know what the meaning of life is. If it has no meaning except that which you forge for yourself, then so be it, be at your own disposal. But if you come to a realization of something bigger then I hope you see the wisdom in your ways. TL:DR Look at your attitude, what is the point of relationships?

This thread has been very entertaining, to say the least, SAO and then Legend of Galactic heroes right afterward. How funny. I think it is fair to say that an Anime that is "the best" is up to what your standards of measurement are. If it's brilliant storytelling then it is Legend of Galactic heroes, in light of having way too many episodes for my liking. If it's for most entertaining it would have to be Sword art online, at least the first part that is. Ghibli in itself has some excellent storytelling and animation directing. But he lacks variety which is because of the nature of his plot and stories. This makes it brilliant within its own medium of animation. There are some brilliant stories out there which are well executed and presented, some mysterious, some with brilliant female main characters, others with great art and directing and music. My favorite based on all of these beautiful pieces of works apart from some great works like So ra no wo to, or Disappearance of Haruhi, even one of the best female leads I have seen recently being seen in Sakurako-san no Ashimoto ni wa Shitai ga Umatteiru. Genuine and funny comedy from Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun. Purpose driven feeling production by Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso. Fun and over exaggerated parody storytelling in Jojo's Bizzare adventures. There are too many to count if we were to list all the great Anime that we are exposed to or should be exposed to. Of course for me, one prevails over all purely because of the fitting name it has in light of its fantastic music and brilliant choreography of fight scenes and music. By far the classic in the late 1990s and the Anime to set the era of the internet off as the big three was about to arrive. The brilliant Cowboy Bebop, with its basic and exhilarating storytelling with the excelent integration of music and directing. Guiding us into a beautiful philosophical idea leading to the most fitting name of Bebop which is what we experience right through the show and movie. Even at the height of the show having to take a break from airing and produced an ova, which by far exceeds any ova that influenced teenagers in light of violence, in a positive manner. Named Cowboy Bebop: Yose Atsume Blues. Cowboy Bebop by far takes the show of my favorite Anime.

I am watching Fate/Stay Night. So far the action and animation has been good, everything else sub par.

I am dating a Tsundere, she was really tough to deal with in the beginning, however, after a while she is very wonderful. The patience was worth it.

Yeah, I have watched about 3 episodes of it I can feel the slowness of it, but I can appreciate the slow, because like most things when taken slow, it will be better produced. This is true of Anime just as it is most things in life.

This deconstruction is so beautiful, I was going to go for this but I enjoy both dailed up strangeness and well driven as you suppose, dependant on my mind set at the time. Another really good one to add to your list is: Welcome to the NHK. I am yet to see Monster and Another, but I have heard good things, just have to invest time into it I guess haha.

I am assuming you mean just unusual or psychologically challenging when you say "mind bending". I am still enjoying Ergo Proxy, it has a way to constantly blow my mind. However I have found some really intense Anime over the years of watching, such as: 1. Mnemosyne 2. Denpa-teki na Kanojo 3. Sweat Punch 4. Pale Cocoon 5. Kure-nai These I would say are some of the tops of that description I have seen so far.

I do enjoy Mikoto Shinkai, it is always a stunning presentation to watch. I agree with your suggestion of Garden of Words, I really enjoyed that Anime.

Good day everyone, I am in fact a new member on this exciting and new world called the Anime Forums. I have been watching Anime for a few years, in light of that, I would say I am an amateur in light of old school Otaku's. I enjoy having time to think about the world and philosophy, I enjoy reading, writing, doing adventurous things such as hiking mountain biking. I love photography mixed with my love for analogies and metaphors. I study English Literature and Media studies, I love people and find everyone has something interesting about them. My time, however, is mostly spent meeting with people and studying. I have a girlfriend, she is like a real life Tsundere, if I were to describe her in waifu terms, she is a mix of Taiga (35%) and Chitanda (65%). My Favorite Anime is "Sound of the Sky", purely because it is so unknown for the gem that it is. My favorite Anime Character would have to be Umetarou Nozaki, for his obliviously funny character. I am glad that I found a place to join a community again, after leaving the forums for lack of decent sites. I hope this one can prove to be positive. A question for those wanting to participate: What is your favorite Anime? Suggesting that you have a favorite Anime, and your house was to set on fire would you choose to take the Anime or the manga/light novel of that particular favorite?
