  1. That is rough. I'm a transplant to Colorado so I don't think I'm allowed to complain about how busy things are around here. I'm sure in Washington it's much worse. I ran away from Chicago so it's all "light traffic" to me but also having a foot in both the rural and urban US experience I can see how it would be tough with all the extra people. We'll see how things go though. Maybe in a few years you can go to the trails at a more normal time and be able to experience the tranquility too. If it gets worse you can always visit Colorado We have some years yet before we get too too croweded I think.
  2. I'm more for the experience but I do occasionally take photos. Honestly IMO when I go for a hike I'm doing it in part to escape electronics and the tangled web of social circles (other than husband of course! And I hope to have a house some day and a dog that can come with us. I don't trust my cats on a hike although I would love if they would behave) If it's my first time visiting a trail I'm more likely to take pictures. But I will always take pictures if I start with someone who can't explore as far as I can.
  3. I used to camp a lot. I like it personally. But I'm married and my husband is not as much of an outdoorsy type as I am. (we are both gamers though! We met at Gamestop and continued to learn more about each other via D&D sessions) We do like to hike though. It's part of the reason we moved to Colorado. It's nice to escape out into the mountains when the summers get too hot plus the views are usually very awesome no matter where you go. I've chalked it up to the reason everyone here is terrible at driving - everyone is too distracted by the views and mountains to pay much attention to the road lol
  4. Thank you! The useful looks like a juicy piece of meat on a bone and it went well with your post. Sorry I'm going off topic but it's just so latest?cb=20140127212049
  5. Good evening everyone (or whatever time of day you live in... it's evening for me!) My real life name is Sarah but you can call me pretty much whatever you like (if you are talking to me I hope you indicate that in some why. I don't mind a "hey you" but if there's a lot of people talking I probably won't know you're referring to me) I live in Colorado USA and I love to hike, play games, watch anime, and watch a select few TV shows (Better Call Saul, Game of Thrones, Westworld). I work at a bank so I won't be super active during the US workweek, but I look forward to chatting with ya'll!
  6. I've lived a lot of places and most of the times I've had a dishwasher. There were two apartments I lived in that did not have dishwashing machines though. I'm kinda 50/50 on whether I use the one I have now. If there are a lot of dishes and I can fill it up in one go I use the dishwasher. If I can't fill it up (and my choice is dirty dishes sitting overnight in the machine or take the extra time to just hand wash) I usually hand wash. For me it really depends on what gets more done faster, and dishes sitting unclean in a machine for a day or more is not quick enough for me.

Oooooooooh! Thank you! My spouse (@[1804:zoop]) did that stuff for me. She's basically a wizard with all image-y stuff. The only thing that I do is dig up images. She actually changes the backgrounds and sizes stuff.

  8. I've never been to one but it seems fun! I don't think I'd go on the regular because it's expensive but I would definitely go more than once if I had the chance and/or it becomes very convenient.
  9. I was really young. A girl I consider my cousin (although we are not related) would occasionally baby sit my sister and I, and she was into anime, and I really looked up to her. She usually didn't watch anything else while she was watching us but she would when my mom was visiting the woman I consider my aunt and I would often watch it with her. Sailor Moon and Gundam are the ones that distinctively stood out to me that she watched. From there I was seeking out anime quite a bit. I would sneak out of bed late at night to watch Rurouni Kenshin, Tenchi Muyo, and Zoids. And of course daytime anime like Pokemon, Yu Gi Oh, DBZ, etc.
  10. I'm mostly playing Animal Crossing New Leaf. I also play HotS and Mechwarrior online. Sometimes Breath of the Wild. I've become the worst gamer ever. Everyone at my job still consider me the gamer of the company though.
  11. Thanks for posting this! I've not been paying much attention to games since I'm an old fart now, but .hack//GU (actually ALL the .hack series) were some of my favorite games when I was in high school! I know I still have the first 3 of the original quad-i-ty?? (I'm leaving that. Google says the word for it is "tetralogy". Honestly a pretty cool word. Learn something new every day I guess!) Anyway, I lent the games to friends a long time ago and never got them because (I have to assume because they're SO GOOD) and only three of them have made their way back to me. I'm excited I'll get another chance to experience //GU without hounding down my friends or trying to find copies elsewhere.
  12. Your set is very awesome indeed!

This is literally like... my third photoshop edit. So when I saw the finished product, I was like "My dormant powers have awakened." Srsly, I didn't expect that it will turn out to be good.

  13. Thank you!
