Zeref Posted May 7 Share Posted May 7 I am glad you all have a lot of examples of this because in my head when I thought about larger girls in anime only a couple already listed came to mind such as Honoka and Risley. There doesn't seem to be a vast amount of larger girls depicted in anime but that probably has a little bit to do with the fact that being smaller in most Asian cultures and focus on the physical appearance is even worse than in some other places in the West. Speaking to several Asian friends in countries such as Singapore, China and Korea, the pressure for girls to be around 100 pounds or even less is very desirable. Meanwhile characters like Sailor Moon are freakishly skinny to the point you feel like you'd get a papercut. While others have boobs that look so wrong on too skinny body.
