Help identifying an anime please?

Hi All,

I watched a short anime series several years ago and don't know the name of it, I was wondering if any one here can help me.?

I am hoping one of you amazing Anime fans might have seen it and know what its called, if I know what it is called I can find it again and watch it.

I really want to remember what happened in it as I can only remember the 1st part and end part. 

what I remember, I've tried googling it, checked multiple lists of amines I've checked wiki and even my watch history from Netflix. 

I am lost. I hope this was a real anime not a fever dream I had once! 

Its another world inhabited by both humans and Animals as well as Hybrids. 

The Animals rule the would and the humans are low on the pecking order. 

one of the main character is a male who was wearing cat ears pretending to be a hybrid to work in a café or restaurant. pretty sure he was blond. 

I think the humans are trying to rebel, the male gets caught when his fake ears fall off and he ends up on the run. This happens in the place he works and the main female character is responsible for his disguise falling off. 

I think the world had a massive area of sand, big desert type of thing. 

I know I watched it on a computer but don't know which site. 

The last episode the guy turns out to be some sort of powerful being. A god?  who's going to end the world. either with more sand or some sort of tornado storm. 

The only other information I have is it was English Dub 

Pretty sure it was 1 season only, pretty short season as well. 

The art style was a bit more modern so 2000's - 2013 maybe? its been a long time since I watched it but I can't get it out of my head lately. Or at least the the bits I can remember anyway. 

I know this is vague but I really want to find out what I watched and need some help. 

does any one have any ideas?
