Yo Ubisoft just blew it out of the park today. They managed to only talk about a few games we already knew about briefly, all while new sequels, new IP's and overall great looking games and all with almost no problems at all. I don't much care for a South Park mobile game, but Skull & Bones, the AC Origins Trailer, The Far Cry 5 gameplay, Starlink, all of it looked anywhere from good to absolutely amazing.

All of it accumulated to the one thing we all wanted but weren't sure we'd see, Beyond Good and Evil 2. I am blown away by how it looks, and I absolutely cannot wait to play it. Ubisoft has had the best conference all E3 by far, and I will give them an 8.9/10 for all that. We needed something like that headed into Sony, and now, they have some competition

Even though most of their stuff doesn't really appeal to me, I can agree that this seems to be the case based on what I've been reading. It'll be very interesting to see what Sony and Nintendo have up their sleeves to compete with.

Skull & Bones

Am I crazy, or is this the third open world sailing game that has been talked about at e3 so far this year? Having picked up Windward (love it!) recently, I'm very okay with this.

Beyond Good and Evil never really was my cup of tea, but I gotta say --- regardless if it's my kinda thing or not, I have nothing but respect for the game, and am super excited that the sequel is coming to light. Here's hoping that it lives up to the original!

I was reading like ''Yes, yes, they blew it out of the park (in a bad way), I agree completely'' and then I noticed that you were talking then in a good way and I ended up 'Wait a second..''

And as this guy said one time in a reddit post: One of the Ubi higher-ups basically called all PC gamers pirates, as an excuse why they don't work well on PC ports.

Oh. Well, that is definitely a teensy bit irritating.

I would also trash talk EA but they have been trying to improve their image in the past few years.

Shadow of the Colossus and Ico remakes? Sounds like Sony is off to a strong start tonight. Hopefully those aren't the only two big guns they have in the show, though.

[Edit]

And ... I guess that was about it, actually.

Monster Hunter World, Days Gone, God Of War and the new Spider Man were cool as well, also some VR games were looking kinda interesting.

Fair enough, though given that Monster Hunter is apparently going full-on multi platform, I don't know that I'd really count it in the favor.

What we should really talk about though, the real MVP of e3, is that fishing game.

Dude, what the hell was that? I was watching with Polares and I was like ''Ah, Final Fantasy XV VR'' and then it was just a fishing game, smh.

Okay so Sony was a little bit disappointing. No Crash, No Final Fantasy, No Spyro and no The Last of Us 2.

That said, Spiderman, Monster Hunter World, Uncharted the Lost Legacy and many other titles were looking amazing all throughout. God of War gave us some new combat, Days Gone gave me some Horizon Zero Dawn vibes, which by the way, Horizon Zero Dawn getting some DLC/Expansion's I'm okay with. Detroit Become Human is looking to be more than I thought it was, so that was really nice to see. I never saw an HD remake coming for Shadow of the Colossus, so all of my yes to that, please let me have it now.

I kind of wish Ni No Kuni II would have been a part of the show, because it kind of feels like it's being treated like less of a game than it is, but the Pre-show in general was fairly good, and Ni No Kuni topped it off fairly well and then of course Undertale coming to PS4 and PSVita is super nice. Overall it was a good show. Not Sony's best mind, but the best of E3 thus far. Now it's all up to Nintendo, and we'll see where that goes. My overall rating for Sony is a 9/10.

Nintendo's show had a lot of things that will excite people I think. An actual RPG Pokemon on a (semi-) home console? Metroid Prime 4?

... but, for myself, the Breath of the Wild DLC is still looking good, I think the Yoshi game looks cute, and I want to play Mario Odyssey. Don't really care all that much about the other announcements, so the overall impact of their presentation was more or less wasted on me.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I, I just wish Nintendo could have saved E3, but I'm largely not pleased. Seeing some new gameplay from Super Mario Odyssey, hearing that Metroid Prime 4 is being worked on, and hearing that a "Core" Pokemon RPG title is being worked on for the Switch, that's all great, but for the rest of it, it was really only okay. Seeing some gameplay for Xenoblade Chronicles 2 was nice, but at the same time, it doesn't seem to be any different than previous titles which was kind of expected, so that was okay but not great. Also, there was way too many shots of the female character looking as sexy as possible without doing anything sexy, as if that might be a focus over other, more important aspects of the game and I never actually managed to catch her name, so that wasn't handled well. The new Yoshi game looks alright, but it's still just a Yoshi Platformer so okay. They also showed off a story trailer for Fire Emblem Warriors, but there's nothing about it that seems original in any way, which is a problem and it should have something. The also talked about some DLC for Zelda and some new Amiibo for it, and that was cool, but not outstanding.

What bothers me the most is that there was nothing about the 3DS. They took the time to remind people what they were doing at E3 instead of showing off games, and then less than an hour later, a new Metroid game for the 3DS popped up at Nintendo Treehouse Live, why wasn't that at the Spotlight. Everything else that was left was ports like Rocket League, which isn't even coming out until the Holidays. It would have been better served to have that at launch, or you know, not when the game is getting closer to being three years old. Nintendo dropped the ball, and I really think that Treehouse Live is where we'll see most of the interesting things Nintendo has to offer, or at least I hope so. Nintendo gets a 6.5/10, tying them with EA, and making them the worst of the big three. Ubisoft and Sony win E3.

I pretty much watched every one except for the Nintendo one, I've never been a big Nintendo guy.

Which one do you think was the best?

Honestly I really enjoyed the Ubisoft one since for once it actually looked like they had some really cool new ideas and then ofc the Sony one was good.
