Name's Ivan, I'm from Bulgaria, recently left another anime forum which I was part of for 19 years and decided to check what's out there in the wild So yeah what else about me, lets see. I'm 36 years old, very much into insects and other arthropods, I like electronic music (mostly big beat and industrial) and am very big on science fiction and monster movies. I got into anime and manga around 2006 starting with Blame!, Berserk, Eden It's an Endless World, Ergo Proxy, Hellsing, Blue Gender etc. It was Naruto that got me into joining an anime forum to discuss Shino, ended up posting bug/bio news for years, made friends, had fun. Haven't been very up to date with anime and manga for years and outside a few anime movies and Nihei's newer work I can't say I'm that knowledgeable about the state of anime in 2026. Well I guess that's enough for an introduction! Anyone feel free to ask me anything.

That worry makes sense to me. Asta works best when the fights stay loud and messy, and a rushed run would flatten that. I would rather wait a bit than get a big arc squeezed into too few episodes. Which fight are you most hoping they get right?

Youjo Senki (Saga of Tanya the Evil)? If you like the Military/Isekai/Dark Fantasy (with a little psychological/drama mixed in) genre of anime then I'd say it's peak asf (the seasons take long to be released though, with season 2 being released this year 9 years after the first season, so I'm betting we'll have to wait another decade for season 3 (╥﹏╥)) Take this with a grain of salt though: I'm a fan of the show so I might be acting a little biased with my points but still, it's a good watch.

I've actually been thinking back to this topic a lot over the past few months because I think it's an incredibly interesting discussion. It's taken me a while to put my thoughts together in a somewhat cohesive manner LOL I think that one of the most interesting parts of art is not the final product itself, but rather the process behind reaching that point. A common argument I see to defend AI art is that it provides people who aren't "artistically talented" with a way to create art. The thing is, there is no such thing as a naturally talented artist. Sure, some people are able to pick it up more easily than others, but every single artist starts from scratch and then develops their ability from there. For example, check out the development of Kirohiko Araki's art in Jojo's. Jojo's Bizarre Adventure is constantly praised for it's unique and impressive artstyle. This kind of improvement can come only from years of hard work! AI can not achieve that. I'm sure there are some people reading this that would argue that AI could easily create an image in the Jojo artstyle in a few seconds, but that's the thing. While yes, that is convenient, it is not talent, as AI can only replicate what has been created by humans before it. AI is not able to pick up a pencil and develop it's own skills or anything of the sorts. It will only be able to replicate the base idea of what is presented to it as opposed to taking into consideration the intention behind each brush stroke, colour or line. Did you know that AI isn't even able to create images with an accurate vanishing point yet (a very key aspect in how perspective works)? Also, to be frank, I think the argument that art isn't accessible is one of the silliest things I have ever heard. You have a pen and a sheet of paper? You can make art. You have literally a stick and dirt? You can make art. Even just using your brain, you can come up with a poem or song lyrics or a creative idea. While art is subjective of course, I would argue that it is one of the most accessible things there is to humans. Like, the cavemen were drawing on walls with rocks. Anybody anywhere can do that. At the end of the day, I guess it kind of comes down to what you consider to be art. Personally, I'd much rather artworks where I can appreciate the time and effort the artist has put into reaching the point they are at as opposed to an artificially generated image that was pulled from the work of real people (not to mention how damaging it is to the environment and to us too.) For example, why would I want to watch AI generated sports? The appeal is in watching real-life people with thoughts, feelings and motivations behind what they do. I feel that art is much the same in that regard. While AI can generate a final product, it cannot generate the 'heart' of art, which I think is the people behind it.

I feel like code geass is a lot more "talk" than the op would hope for, dunno for sure tho

I think I'm about 18 years late to this conversation, as I already have two, a soon-to-be 17 and a 12. For me and my wife, it was always the plan, we even talked about it a year into when we were still dating. And we got exactly what we wanted, one of each. I won't deny anything that's been said here. It's not for everyone and that's fine. It's a difficult adventure no matter what age they are (more so with one versus the other, in my case). But through it all, there's a bond there, and we find a way to come out smelling like a rose, even if we're littered with thorns in the process.

I've stayed in mostly. I started to work on getting a bag packed because I'll be going back to the US again at the end of the week to visit @Sakura and @Zeref for the Christmas holiday. I thought I should attempt to get started on it now instead of my usual routine of throwing everything in a suitcase rushing at the last minute in a panic.

That sentence works as intended lmao ~ All I really did today was school, and stress out about school, and today was the first day I could go back to work studies as well since hurting my neck so it was actually nice to be back at that. I prefer to be on a boat in the water so I missed it for that week.

I don't think I would be able to stay in a job I didn't like for any amount of money. I have to feel good about what I am doing since I have to do it every day for many hours. When you don't like what you are doing or those you work with, it becomes to bad for your mental health. Today there seems to be another fire down the street. Another building on fire. I don't know what is going on with so many fires around us lately. I don't know if they are being caused by people or the weather.

I got 2 Sasori items in the mail today, one is the poster I made myself and it looks sooo nice, I am so happy with it. The other is an acrylic Sasori stand that is some kind of Japan-only limited edition item. All I really know is that means it cost more money lolll I just wanted it because it would look cute on my Sasori wall when I finish it. I'll prolly post some pics of them later. I didn't have any courses today and I was glad since it was kinda chilly and the weather was nice with perfect blue skies. I went for a walk to Dizzy Whizz and got some burgers and fries and enjoyed the breeze I need to enjoy because tomorrow it starts getting hotter again going into the 80s and back into the 90s this weekend all the way through next week :c The only good thing is this means I can get 1 more day of swimming in before the weather prolly gets cooler permanently. So I plan to go swimming next Tuesday.

I didn't have work study courses today so I slept in, sat with Pessi while he was doing some of his work videos which made even me want to fall asleep and did shopping online. Really should hold off on the shopping for a couple of weeks.. I already have so many packages coming in. I shop when I get bored though x.x and today I was nothing but bored. I want to get back into doing some GFX but I didn't have a lot of motivation to do it today after spending so much time doing it yesterday. I want to get a Mitsuki poster made like I did the Sasori one, but if I make it I will want to go ahead and make it into a poster and buy it and yeah I really need to wait until all these next orders come in and I get them put up where they need to go before I move on to the next project lol

I loveee watching Inuyasha Today I had work courses which pretty much occupied the vast majority of my time. After that I just sat around on the couch watching tv and eating some snacks, played some RS and hung out with some friends on there. I'm getting ready to make something to eat, prolly get a shower and then go to bed. So all in all a very boring day.

Went to the shops earlier this morning, had groceries to buy. After that stayed indoors the rest of the day. Going to grab something to make for my evening meal here in a moment, relax to some TV lazing on the couch, and probably do a bit more gaming before heading to bed.

No, we are both maxed at 150. I have a slightly better weapon but she's a magic user and my character is a tank build. I can solo any boss because of that.

I get asked for jobs/commissions quite often on DeviantArt but I just can't find it in me to do them anymore. I enjoy it up to the point where people start making lots of changes and then get angry when it takes longer because they keep drawing out changes lol
