According to my parents I was pretty hard on that loco, I kept it and its two coaches running round and round its little circle of track for hours and hours. I wouldn't be surprised if the motor was burnt out due to over use.

I've now finished watching Just Because. At heart it's a high school Slice of Life series centring on five students in their final few months of school as they juggle studying for their entrance exams and sorting out their relationships. The story is, in a way, nothing special but the way the story is told and paced along with its wonderfully detailed artwork and excellent animation makes it a very enjoyable series to watch. The railway enthusiast in me particularly liked the monorail dangle-way.

This is one of the oldest things I have, it's my very first model locomotive it was given to me when I was 4 and is now 66 years old, it no longer works of course. The plastic bodywork is a couple of years younger because the loco fell off the table a couple of years after I was given it and broke. My father got me a new body for it from the manufacturer but it was a plain unpainted black one. When I was around 12 or 13 I had a go at painting it, I suppose it's not a bad paint job considering my age at the time. It's a 00 model and 11 inches long.

Definitely anime for a day! I played a few video games way back on my 8 bit Atari 800, but never played any on my Atari ST or my PC. Eat at a restaurant or eat at home?

I went to an anime convention every year for nine years I think the first was in 2002. Why did I stop? Several reasons really, the main ones being a change in personal circumstances and the realisation that most of the other attendees were young enough to be my children or even grandchildren. What do you think of electric cars?

My favourite food is baked beans, specifically Heinz baked beans, I accept no substitutes! My top 3 foods are: 1. Heinz baked beans. 2. Potato waffles. 3. Steak pie. My favourite dinner is a couple of slices of ham along with two potato waffles a poached egg and lots of baked beans. My two other favourites are baked beans on toast and jacket potato and baked beans. Oh, did I mention that I like baked beans?

Two of my friends that I haven't seen for a while came to visit today. They weren't able to stay long, but it was good to see them again.

Silence. I'm a quiet person so I don't like noise or busy places. Part of that comes from spending almost my entire working life in central London and travelling sardine class on the train to work each day. So my 'either or' question is obviously going to be: Solitude or crowds?

That's a very good question. All the Magical Girls I can think of are either in middle or high school, what happens when they go on to college or university? Do they just somehow lose their powers or do they just retire. Perhaps by the time they reach middle age they find all the baton twirling and wearing the typical Magical Girl outfit is just too uncool and embarrassing.

Don't sell yourself short, your sig file pictures may not be what you call "professional looking" but they are very impressive creations. You have a excellent creative gift and should create an on-line picture gallery to show off your work.

Currently bright, sunny and 25C. Which is OK with me. The weather people say it's going to stay like that for the next two weeks, but I don't entirely trust the weather people. I've just done a quick F to C conversion, and OUCH! that's HOT!!!! Way too hot for me!
