  1. I am diligently working on creating a banner as the graphic showcase header as I type this At least, I have the concept of a plan!
  2. I personally use a cellphone when doing things online quite often including getting on forums that I frequent. I would agree with the statement @Zeref made regarding this. I don't use text talk to type on forums when I am using my cellphone and I don't post any less of my thoughts that I would have posted had I been using my PC. Much of my time involves sitting in a theater when I'm doing theater rehearsals and sometimes that can be incredibly boring so I browse my phone and post as a way to entertain myself and keep from falling asleep right there. What I find to be annoying is when people use text speak or emojis on forums to post messages such as, ", 🕶" or other emoji only sentence or heavy in text abbreviations because I'm not an ancient Egyptian and I'm not trying to decipher your hieroglyphics.
  3. My top 3 things I enjoy the most about the conventions are: 1.) Being able to dress up and cosplay as my favorite character WHILE walking around as that character without people looking at me strangely. 2.) The merch booths. Quite often I can find things there I can't find anywhere else other than online for jacked up prices. 3.) Connected with other anime fans in my area that I wouldn't have met otherwise. I've made some long-lasting connections with people I now consider friends from anime cons.
  4. I was able to do one of my dream cosplays last year at the convention I went to which was Grell Sutcliff from the show Black Butler. Next year I'm hoping to attend a con or 2 and one of the cosplays I want to do this time is Sailor Moon and Chibiusa with my sister. I also still want to try to cosplay as Mimi from Digimon Season 2 and Azusa Nakano from K-On!
  5. I like the fact you created it all on your own. Those are the best cosplays in my opinion.
  6. This one is even more sad than the other
  7. Loved it sis. You always write so much better than I do when it comes to poetry..
  8. I usually lean more towards buying an actual copy of the manga when I read it but sometimes I do read on apps and I usually use Mihon for this.
  9. I agree with that and to add on to this the fanservice is usually from characters depicted as minors. While I realize it's "just anime" so no minors are being exposed or abused to create it technically, it's still a little creepy o_O
  10. Hey this is for me : D Can you make me a Sarada PFP pwease? : > I think I'll make a showcase like this too.
  11. Same sis same. Can I pick both styles? Okay alright, if I had to choose, I would lean towards the first style, where the character begins with little power and gradually evolves into someone with a lot of strength as the story progresses. I like to watch as their story unfolds and I feel like it creates a stronger connection for me when I see them start off facing challenges, and then overcome obstacles to become someone strong. It feels like I’ve went on an adventure with them. I get completely absorbed by these types of animes, and I can't help but feel a little bit sad when they end. The same way I feel when I finish a really good book.
  12. Crunchyroll and Netflix are the only 2 I have.
  13. I have a fondness for 90s anime, especially titles like Sailor Moon. The unique style of shows from that era, such as Dragon Ball, Kenshin, Trigun, Fushigi Yugi, Case Closed, and CardCaptors. They all had a special vibe I liked. I really enjoy the latest decade of anime from the 2020s too. There have been some awesome shows that just came out. I've seen anime from almost every decade and I have favorites from almost each one.
  14. Hi Pessi. I will post some here when I find the places for it. They kept me locked in the basement and only recently I escaped they don't tell anyone I existed : > Thank you all guys and gals for the warm welcome I plan to hang around here for awhile and meet some of you.
  15. Kimi ni Todoke. I like to read romance manga most of all.
  16. Fruits Basket was the first manga I read. My cousin had the set and let me read them.
  17. I have always watched subbed anime because I have to have subtitles on to watch anything anyway so why not : > The subbed seem to be better compared to dubbed too.
  18. Hi there peoples of Anime Forums. I decided to make an account here after my sister told me about this place. Her username here is Sakura and I have some other friends here Sasuke and Zeref who also said this place was chill and I should come hang out with you guys : > I chose the name Sarada because of my sister being Sakura and friend being Sasuke >.> A small introduction to me you can call me Lillie, I'm 19, in college studying forensics. I spend any free time I have in theater. I've been performing in theater since I was 8 and performed in shows in New York, Chicago and Tennessee : D I love anime the first ones I watched were Digimon and Sailor Moon but Black Butler and Yuri on Ice are my favorites. Uhmmm I guess some random facts about me are I can also use sign language fluently - I originally wanted to major in it but ended up not doing that -, I like to make graphics my sister usually helps me with them, and I like to play tennis and volleyball! Excited to meet and talk with you all here : D
