  1. Happens to me sometimes. Usually I just fall right back to sleep after my alarm wakes me up though
  2. @Seshi One series that was like that for me was HxH. It was loooong, but by the end I still wanted more. It's a shame it will probably be left unfinished.
  3. @Keiko Thanks, I fixed it.
  4. I just created my very first quiz on here, and I'm wondering, is there a way to change the description after the quiz has been submitted? Or is it just stuck that way forever?
  5. Check out the new quiz I just made! I'm still getting the hang of this so it was kinda difficult, but I think it turned out well. Can you guess the character by their eyes?

    1. Myouya

      Myouya

      I have played it.
I was not familiar with 3/4 of the names, I may not be the most adequate person for it.
It is nice for a quiz, I did like the concept.

Thanks for playing! I admit some of the animes were a bit specific, perhaps I should've included the series alongside the characters. I'll make sure to look it over when I find the time.

  6. Spoilers here!! Even if I've finished the movie, I still find myself coming back to it in the form of AMVs or discussions, it's just that amazing. I heard that even Makoto Shinkai said he was jealous of it.
  7. I'd never heard of this show before. The music wasn't my cup of tea but it was pretty good. I say 6.5/10 Viator - Maquia when the promised flower blooms
  8. Season 2 has been over for a couple of weeks and I am heartbroken. This series really spoke to me on an emotional level and has quickly become one of my favorites. I'm hoping it gets comfirmed for a third season. Feel free to leave your thoughts on the anime below. I've been itching to discuss it with someone.
  9. These three are very different, but I relate to them in different ways. Sawako Kuronoma I'm also kind, but trash at speaking what I really think. Like her, I stress a lot and am indecisive. Saiki Kusuo Mostly for his loner quiet part and his love for sweets and staying at home. Killua I'm not as cool as him (I wish!) but I can really relate to the love he has for his friends and his slight tsundere-ness.
  10. I just finished the first season of Durarara and loved it. If anyone has watched the second season, is it any good? Should I continue it? As for currently airing shows I'm watching OPM and AoT, the remake of Fruits Basket, and have just started watching Shield Hero (i gotta catch up on it). I started Demon Slayer, but wasn't very fond of the revenge part. Any manga readers, does the theme of the show evolve into something more or should I just stop watching?
  11. @Seshi The shortness of the episodes really helps encourage me to watch, since it isn't that big of an investment. I tend to procrastinate on watching movies because their length is so overwhelming for me. It's the same for series with 24+ episodes, which is a shame. I'm probably missing a lot of good shows that are on the longer side. A great thing about the weekly and seasonal format is the variety. It's guaranteed you'll find something good to watch with so many shows airing.
  12. I rate anime on my enjoyment instead of looking at them objectively, so I actually have a lot of 10/10. But a few do stand out: Hunter x Hunter (my absolute favourite), Assasination Classroom, A place further than the universe, FMA:B and Barakamon.
  13. That Olivia robot was especially shocking. The faces would get me everytime. Not really, I only started the manga recently a bit before the third season. Bones has been delivering consistently and I am *very* hyped.
  14. The only thing I didn't quite understand was that whole 'growing your hair long only if you're pregnant' thing. What happened to Maquia?
  15. I'm a beginner on the romance/shoujo side. I've started a lot of shows and loved them, only to drop them like 3/4 in. What series do you like? I'm getting better at navigation, it's very intuitive. I am dying for season 4 of MHA. I follow the manga so I know it's gonna be great, I just can't believe they delayed it. Al least there's AoT.
  16. Greetings to you earthlings from my UFO. Asobi Asobase had me rolling. I guess I need a specific type of humor to be entertained. Also the thing about introverted characters is so true. I'd love a shounen with a noticeably introverted MC, and I love Deku as an MC because he isn't your typical happy-go-lucky shounen or broody-bastard with a dark backstory kind of character (he isn't that introverted though). Yuru Camp was the most wholesome relaxing show I have ever watched. Thanks for the recs. Thanks for having me. This place is amazing.
  17. Sorry for replying so late, I had to leave for a bit, but here's the song that originally drew me in: and here's the most popular song by Mafumafu: These both happen to be covers. If you like J-Pop or Vocaloid, you'll probably like this.
  18. Just recently I fell into the trap that is the utaite community after leaving an AMV on autoplay. I love Mafumafu and Soraru. Any other utatite fans (utaite-rs?) here?
  19. I also prefer shounen. I have watched Toradora, in fact it's one of the only romances I've finished. I'm also watching Fruits Basket right now, I'll check out Shield Hero ; a lot of people are raving about it. Thanks for your recs!
  20. I watched it a while back and loooooved it. It almost made me cry (a miracle, I am usually stone hearted when it comes to the emotional stuff). When I looked at reviews afterwards, a lot of people were saying it was a bit rushed, but to me the length was perfect. I feel like by making the movie span all of Ariel's life, it kinda shows just how short it is. Honestly is was sweet and had a lot of heart. Animation and music were top notch aswell. The concept of Hibiol even got me interested in weaving with a loom.
  21. Thank you! I'm sure I'll have lots of fun here. I looove fluffy romances and drama too. Also, Your Name was amazing. The music, the art, the story... it's one of my favourite movies.
  22. Thanks for replying! Man, I'm super excited. I have trouble making friends in real life, so it's great to see such nice communities of people who share my interests. By the way, what sort of anime do you like?
  23. I am a rare female anime fan whose name is none of your concern. While I am usually a lurker, this forum is the first I am joining with intent of actually participating in discussions. Having watched alot of anime when I was very little (think series like Naruto, DBZ, Sailor Moon and aaall the PreCure) I have a lot of love for the medium and its quirks. After a couple of years away, I decided to get back into anime after meeting a fellow Otaku in real life. I have watched most of the more popular shows (along with some oddballs) and I would love some recs as to what I should move on to. Some things about myself: I am lazy and very introverted. I love wasting away on my phone, looking at clouds, and the sky in general, painting, drawing and reading. I'm a bit of a dreamer. If anyone has tips on navigating this community feel free to share. Also, please excuse any grammar mistakes. I am a teen and english isn't my first language.
