  1. While it is a slice of life comedy, Toradora regardless made me cry. It had great moments of the main characters being emotionally vulnerable. I also recommend The Wind Rises, I remember an anime I saw a music video for decades ago, called Now and Then, Here and There, and it was war focused and was set to the song Mad World (you can find it on youtube). It seemsl ike it would be a pretty sad series, too.
  2. Heya, welcome, and nice to meet you! I would not risk this site's legal standing by sharing any piracy links, but I know the struggle. I tend to watch anime in various ways and then support creators by saving up for box sets. It also emphasizes the need/want for physical copies of media in this rapidly digitizing world where everything is simply temporarily licensed to you. When we have Blu-ray and DVD we can loan anime legally to friends, and the thing those companies all forget is that sharing the anime love means more fans who eventually buy more stuff! AHEM, anyway (I could go on for hours about this ^^; ) if you like romance and slice of life or comedy, Toradora! is a great one!
  3. This is my favorite of the Zelda games, too! I have never been able to beat it myself, but I'm kind of bad at games, or at least I was when I played it. I've seen my friends beat it multiple times. I love the game play, it was peak Zelda mechanics with the items and fun ways to find how to use them/get around Hyrule. The water and shadow temples are both scary but my fav sections in the game. Also, as annoying as she was, I have a soft spot for Navi and it started my obssession with faries (or did that come from Peter Pan even further back? lol) Currently, my favorite game is Trails of Cold Steel and all the related Trails of series games. The remake for Trails in the Sky came out and I plan to play that soon, and there are already trailers for the sequel (don't watch the 2nd game's trailer if you haven't beaten the first, it's SPOILERY!) Another old game I really love is Suikoden. Another one I didn't beat, but I got the remake. I started playing that, and am also not even halfway through Resident Evil 2 with my roommate spurring me along and laughing as I panic at every sound or movement in it. I wish I had more time to play stuff... I also enjoy the Tales of series of games, not the same set of games as Trails. But both are really great RPGs. In the Tales of series, Abyss and Berseria are my favorites, followed by Xillia.
  4. \(‾▿‾\) Finally the semester is over!! (/‾▿‾)/ I'm mentally tired. I attend college online because I work full time. Hope to be around more over break.

Attending college online while working full time sounds rough.  I hope you're able to make the most of the holidays and relax, enjoy yourself and recover,

  5. I think it's a phase, I went through it when I was young, too. Freaking out and then blaming others when I poked my nose in, lol. To be honest, the internet is a wild place for kids and I think parents have forgotten how to teach internet and media safety to them, and kids lash out trying to make sense of it and gain control. But even then, they'll go look the stuff up anyway (I was reading fanfic I shouldn't have been, then going on rants). Easier to just block and move on. But I feel you, it's frustrating.
  6. Ohh yeah they kinda trick you without knowing all about him first, then draw you in with that plot. It's great. The finale of it was soo satisfying cause it was making me upset until then (not spoiling others here).
  7. Shadows would be really versatile as an ability. Would you use them like Megumi does in Jujutsu Kaisen? (he can move into them or put things into them) Or would they take shape and be some kind of darkness like Kingdom Hearts?
  8. Woah, that looks so fun! I know of the Tanabata festival from Bleach, since Orihime Inoue is a character named after the real myth's Orihime. It's a really cool story.
  9. That pic of the seal on the cat is so funny! It's hard to balance life sometimes. It's ok to take your time, posting where you want as you have the time to. I'm glad you have a place that feels welcoming online. I have some friends who have trouble getting out and doing stuff. I think I was driven by boredom myself. If you're worried what other people think, think of it maybe like this: There are SO many people in the world and in our lives we meet and depart from lots of them, as we figure out how we click. So don't worry too much about if you fit with a group or if you decide to ask people to do stuff, if they want to or not. You won't know until you do -- and it's not a BAD thing to be told no, it's simply information about someone's availability that doesn't tell you much about how they feel about you, only that they can't do that thing right then. And even if you're going out doing stuff alone, you'll be growing your experiences, which you can use to draw on to share with other people in the future. It's like... experience points in a video game, kinda lol Basically just look at things as opportunities, if you can. You'll grow an organic community of activity around you that way, finding who you want to do stuff with and who you don't. PS, IDK if anything is 'normal', some people are just introverts. I'm an ambivert. Sometimes I burn out after being so social and then I want to live at home for weeks.
  10. Gosh I love that anime, it's been forever! I like the character designs too, same designer as Gundam Seed. Which is what I recommend. Best gundam, aside from 08th MS Team, which I ALSO think is heavily under-discovered.
  11. Suki Sa (from Maison Ikkoku) which I have never watched, but it's a catchy tune.
  12. Omg I cosplayed Berthier! Back at Anime Expo like umm 2004 or 2008, I don't remember. She was so interesting! I'm glad the TV series gave the sisters more development. I loved her rivalry with Ami. I rented Slayers back then as well! I've seen Slayers, Slayers Next, and almost all of Slayers Try, and some of the movies. Like you I never got around to the rest, but I'm on a re-watch with friends so maybe we'll see it all this time! Naga is a special kind of comedy, but I still love her XD
