  1. Thanks for the follow back

  2. Hi, welcome ( ̄▽ ̄)ノI'm new as well. Hope we can get along (⌒‿⌒)
  3. I used to wear anime merch (shirts, hoodies, etc.) around a lot (I had a Kurosawa Ruby bag that I wore around everywhere a few years ago), but nowadays I tend to keep it on the semi-low (besides a NGNL lanyard and a Kaguya-sama phone case)... except for in my own home. My room is filled with posters and wall scrolls and anime figurines and all that good stuff, and I'm pretty vocal and open about anime and manga on social media, so my interests are hardly a secret. Then again, I'm not extremely conscious or worried about my social status ┐( ̄ヮ ̄)┌. Being open about it tends to attract either a) friends that are tolerant of others' hobbies, or b) (more rarely) people who are interested in the same stuff as you. All works out, I think lol
  4. Just watched Koe no Katachi for the third time and cried again, this time w/ my mom. She usually doesn't like anime and manga and stuff but she enjoyed koe no katachi so it was a nice bonding experience (´ ∀ ` *) feelin good
  5. Thank you ! (* ^ ω ^) Thank you, it's nice to meet you <( ̄︶ ̄)> Hi, thank you ヽ(*・ω・)ノ Will do, thank ya (o´▽`o) Hi, thank ya ! I've seen all of those except for Azumanga Daioh, School Rumble, and Recovery of an MMO Addict. Thinking of starting Recovery of an MMO Addict soon
  6. hello ( ̄▽ ̄)ノ I'm new to the forums as well. Hope we can get along! (* ^ ω ^)
  7. Ohh, I was thinking about starting Fruits Basket. I might start that tomorrow. And hey, as far as I'm concerned (and have the time lol), any anime is worth at least watching a few episodes. "If it's for my daughter" sounds cute. Thanks for the recommendations, I'll have to get busy lol (*¯︶¯*)
  8. My favorite at the moment is a newer one called "I Shaved, then I Brought a High School Girl Home." The title is a little weird, but it's really cute so far. There's only 10 chapters out so far that are translated. Besides that, I've been keeping up with 5-toubun, Omaera Zenin Mendokusai, Kaguya-sama, Watari-kun no xx ga Houkai Sunzen, Gal Gohan, Bokuben, Citrus+, and I've just started Komi-san.
  9. Nice to meet ya! I watched 5-toubun as it was airing, but I haven't got to any of the currently airing ones yet. I did re-watch Oreimo in its entirety yesterday, though (´• ω •`). Any currently airing ones you would recommend?
  10. Right? I made the mistake of watching Koe no Katachi on a plane next to a classmate who I wasn't very familiar with... what a mistake that was. I was basically crying ten minutes in (⌒_⌒;)
  11. Plastic Memories was wonderful and had this effect on me most profoundly. Angel Beats, Orange, Your Lie in April, and Koe no Katachi were all really emotionally hard-hitting as well, and they all ended up being anime that I won't forget about any time soon
  12. I find Jojo to be most enjoyable when watching it with friends. I mostly like rom-com anime, but I think those are more enjoyable when watched alone (at least for me, so I'm not worrying about if the other person/people find the show weird the whole time lol). Shounen anime like Jojo are a lot more fun with friends because of the action and the outrageous scenes you can laugh at together
  13. I enjoy watching anime (particularly rom-coms lol) because they're so good at expressing the characters' feelings and emotions. Whenever I watch anime I'm able to sympathize with and feel the characters' emotions really easily, and that aspect makes it a really enjoyable and deeply engrossing experience. No other media form seems to do the same thing for me. Also cute anime girls
  14. Hello ( ̄▽ ̄)ノ it's nice to meet you all! I'm a student in high school (male), and I'm trying to find ways to chat and make friends with people who share similar interests. I've liked anime for quite a while and just this last year or so I've been getting into reading manga a lot more, I'm mostly into romance/slice of life stuff. I think that's all ( ^_^)feel free to message me or ask me anything!
