I've got the 1st few pages of my book done & am now going back to edit & revise before moving on. I've started watching lots of tutorials on creative writing & seminars given by some of my favorite authors like Stephen King to get information on some of the major elements of good writing i.e. character design, tone, grammar, where do they get their inspiration from, etc. Right off the bat I know that one of my weak points is describing the scene. I do excellent with people but if I want the story to be more engaging then I have to improve on how I write about where things are taking place. I'm learning a lot & am slowing incorporating these techniques into The Ruthisian Codex. If this turns out to be the only book I ever write, I want to be able to look back & know that I gave it everything I had.
