Been craving ice cream & found this. It is delicious & much lighter than other brands:
-
Finally found corn dogs that I actually like. These are AMAZING!
-
These tasted fantastic with some hot mustard Obviously, having things like these too often won't be happening due to the high sodium content but once in a while with some fruit or a large salad will be fine. I'm just happy to be having great luck finding healthier items that honestly taste good.
A coworker of mine just had a heart attack & she said that clogged arteries were a major factor & another coworker of mine just got off bed rest due to her blood pressure being elevated due to gaining quite a bit of weight. I'm really glad that I've started investing more into improving my health.

I just made a delicious spread for my toast that can also be used as a dip for sliced fruit using this:
https://pbfit.com/product/pbfit-original/
I mixed a few tablespoons of PB Fit, some skim milk, a dash of cinnamon, a dash of tumeric, & a drizzle of honey. I'm going to let it set in the fridge overnight to thicken up a bit & then have it in the morning on some whole wheat toast alongside an egg white omelette, a few slices of turkey bacon, & some fresh fruit. Breakfast of champions confirmed! I put the link to it in case anyone wanted to look at the nutrition information or get more recipe ideas

Not gonna lie, "meatless meat" has always been questionable in my mind. Not totally against the idea you understand, just... highly skeptical. The veggies are ok. Not a big fan of broccoli either but in small amounts it is fine. Drop a small slice of fish or chicken on that rice to make a donburi bowl out of it and I'd make a meal of it, no problem.

After dinner I wanted a snack. So I got a few leaves of this lettuce that I found at Wal-Mart & put a little light salad dressing in a small container & dipped the leaves in & snacked on them. I think this is going to be something that I keep going because it was enough to satisfy my snack craving without ruining all the effort I'd put in during the day to watch what I ate.
Now someone might be thinking: Ruth, why are you sharing all this?
Because I know I'm not the only one in the world who wants to get healthier or lose weight & maybe no one else in AF is doing this but maybe they know someone who is & maybe that person's struggling & could use some helpful tips or advice from someone else who understands how they feel & appreciates how hard they're trying even if they don't know them personally.
That's why.

Tried Hawaiian passion fruit jelly for the first time this morning & it is absolutely amazing!

Veggie burgers just will not do it for me right now so I'm making the real deal & for this I use nothing less than one of the best burger seasonings ever:
Aww yeah...it's Burger Time!

Ventured out to the grocery store today & found some new vegetarian/vegan goodies to try:
At 54 grams of fat per pot pie(not to mention a ton of sodium), I opted not to get those but dang they look good lol.

I'm a few episodes into Season 2 of Tokyo Ghoul & I definitely liked the music from the 1st season better so far

A tall glass of milk, some of my favorite cookies, & a few hours of Attack on Titan before bed...so Heaven has actually been in my living room this whole time, huh? Go figure.

About to curl up with a Stephen King novel & a glass of warm milk.
As if that milk's gonna keep the nightmares at bay...
-
@Ohiotaku The book I'm reading is called The Outsider & it is about the absolutely horrific murder of a little boy in a small town & the way his body was found & what the killer did to him was so brutal I had to put the book down about 20 pages in. My goodness HOW does Stephen King get any sleep with all that madness running around in his head!?!

About to watch the latest episode of Fruits Basket. Who wants to cry their eyes out with me?
-
All done with Elfen Lied & wow, what a great anime! I'm going to finish Another today & then move on to Beserk or When They Cry.
-
@Kity I wish you were here to watch it with me *pouts cutely*

Alright, so the skin from the red grapes that I used in my smoothie earlier gave it a slightly bitter after taste so I'm not sure I'll be doing that again. I did however pick up some frozen diced avocado, mango, & pineapple & plan to mix those together with some nonfat vanilla Greek yogurt, a dash of cinnamon & tumeric, a teaspoon of chia seeds, & a little skim milk to thin it out a bit. Should be pretty good. I'm determined to make these healthy smoothies a fixture in my everyday eating habits.
-
Yeah, I try not to take the skin off my fruits if I can avoid it because you're right, there are so many good nutrients in there. And normally grapes don't give me any issues but it could have been the fact that these were frozen that had something to do with it. I'm all about boosting my immune system these days so I'm getting all the natural vitamins that I can.

Alright, well I managed to get *some* sleep last night after checking my bedroom thoroughly to make sure there were no demonic entities or vampiric intruders. Geez, I never would have thought that an anime about vampires would freak me out so much but the animation in Shiki is just so damn unnerving!
