  1. Would you rather fight 100 duck-sized horses or one horse-sized duck, and how would you claim victory?
  2. Kind of funny, since I thought these threads died out, but it is definitely much easier that having to worry about if you saw my questions. What you do if you unknowingly bump into a member from this community, other than zoop, in real life?
  3. Humans are contradictory themselves, so I am not too surprised your opinion differs from how you sounded in your status. I do agree with you though. Fiction does not absolutely need it, yet there are people that wonder why some writers do not use profanity.
  4. I would bide my time in the room, then go on a rampage through the facility the moment I get a chance to escape. What would you do if you encountered a situation in which those close to you would be in danger if you just went about your business, but there was no guarantee that they would not be the cross hair eventually?
  5. People say I am both, even why I don't try, though a lot of my jokes involve violence or death. What would you do if you found out that everything bad that happened in your life was because God and the devil got together and decided to amuse themselves with your suffering and bet on the outcome?
  6. I have read a lot of books and watched a lot of anime in my life to be able to detect how things can be improved or not, and one topic that comes up a lot is if a writer should use profanity in their work. I created this thread because of Cy~'s status, and was wondering what you guys think. For me, it really depends on what I am presented, because I have seen situations where using profanity actually enhances the emotional feel, and even situations in which the profanity does not sound natural, which bugs me more than anything. However, in my own work, I usually refrain from using profanity, though my current manuscript has a character almost use profanity, because I do not use profanity in real life, as I can express myself in other ways, including joking around.
  7. While I am having troubles affording things right now, I am not in debt right now, and I am happy about that, because that means I have less to worry about.
  8. I would turn that series into something remenscient of Agatha Christie's And Then There Were None, and make sure to kill the protagonist in the most brutal way possible. What would you do if your favorite anime/manga character existed in the real world?
  9. Find out how it happened, discover my new weaknesses, and try to get Sherry to reverse my age back to normal. What would you do if you could not talk properly any more because your voice came through your nose, making people think you were trying to talk like a baby?
  10. What would your reaction be if your idol was directly related to you?
  11. People say I am good with kids, but the fact that they get loud irritates me, and I cannot take of them for too long. I probably probably adopt, because I would not want my would be spouse to die from childbirth or what leads up to it, since I cannot have kids. What would you do if you met God and asked him for help, but he refused saying, "Sorry, I am being mysterious right now"?

    Visual Novel Talk

I never really played Muv-Luv, I am currently waiting on Fault Milestone 2 side:below. I might try it if I get enough money, but I need to finish Narcissus Sumire first.
  13. You did not answer mine from page 2 or whatever, Zoop. Anyway, what you do every if on the Internet were true?
  14. Probably refuse and ask to be friends, while wondering what their true motive is.
  15. Take fancy dinner gratefully, then see if they will play a game with me.
  16. Really want a vacation from this vacation sometimes.

What about a vacation from the vacation that you're taking a vacation from?

Not too sure, but I just want my quiet back.

  17. Ask if they have the freshly killed duck horse, and then wonder what their true motive is.
  18. Playing games. What would you do if you found out that one of the most evil people that ever lived was in family tree?
  19. I pretty much like all seasons, except Summer. In the Vegas area, summers get brutality hot and I have a medical condition that makes me become weaker when hot, so I can only really go out and about for maybe 3/4 of the year and be just fine, at least when it comes to the weather.

    JRPGs

I'd say it really depends on the game for me. Generally, I do like JRPGs, but, as I brought up in the visual novel thread, I cannot really play too many games, since I have only one usable hand, and many RPGs out there will give me trouble. If we are talking about action RPGs, then the only one I played and liked was Rogue Galaxy on the PS2, as it was fun and easy for me to play, though the story was probably not the greatest in the world. If we are talking about turn-based RPGs, those are my current favorite kind of games, as I play RPGs on a mobile device, and action RPGs are not so friendly for me on that format. Still, I do have fun with RPGs overall. My current favorite RPG is Asdivine Hearts. I once played that until all members of my party were maxed out in all elemental magic and I took down beasts in the yellow desert region of Asdivine with only level 20 or so characters, though I did have to decrease the difficulty to do it.

    Writing

I have written quite a few stories in the past, and after sharing one with my sister, she thought that I should write books for a career, and I have written a total of five, which are listed at the link below: http://brycecampbell.me/books.html I am not proud of all of those books, but people have liked them. During my time writing, I also setup a blog, whose link could be easily found in the community, and people really seem to like it because my writing is entertaining, and my perspective on things seem to be unique, though that could be because I know things now that my elders never realized at my age, and I have been reviewing books, manga, and anime for a few years, though I have been covering more books and manga recently. When I write, I feel much more free than I do in a church or a 9 to 5 type job, even though it does take a lot of time out of my life.
  22. Welcome, GhostWarrior. I hope you enjoy yourself here, as people are friendly here. You might receive followers , but I have not, and that is fine, since I think people would be more satisfied following the blog I run.

    Visual Novel Talk

Yeah, a better Kinetic novel is Narcissu, which, like Clannad and Sound of Drop, has a pretty decent OST. It had absolutely no choices, but it did not seem like it needed any and was much more satisfying. It's an unfortunate aspect of visual novels that the anime can sometimes be more effective at. However, that still doesn't stop anime adaptations from being bad. Steins;Gate is a rare exception where a VN adaptation actually excels in some areas (emphasis on SOME), particularly music and animation, due to the benefits an anime has. Clannad is another example, being able to show the emotional scenes much more effectively due to being a moving picture rather than something you click at. But that doesn't mean the you should always choose the anime adaptations over VNs, because the anime tend to miss out on quite a huge amount of content that the studio deemed to be "extra content", even though they can sometimes add more depth to the story (Steins;Gate is ironically an example of this as well, as is Clannad). So it really comes down to what you prefer in a story - more depth to the story or better animation and music execution. This is certainly true and I do agree that the anime adaptations can place the music well, but there are also VNs out there that need an anime, but don't have one.
  24. Welcome, Clover. I also like mysteries and thrillers, but I have not encountered too many anime in those categories (most mystery series only exist as manga) Anyway, I hope you like it here, since everyone is friendly.
