I was bored today so I started OSRS Leagues today and I completed the most important task~!

 

But now the NPC is screaming about me

I know I wasn't originally going to do Leagues but it seemed fun after watching Pessi play it, so I decided after that WC grind it would be nice to just watch levels go up like crazy for awhile and started on the Leagues servers.

New run energy changes to OSRS:

Considerably improved Energy regeneration at lower Agility levels while leaving it unchanged at Level 99.

Energy Drains more slowly in all scenarios, at every Weight and Agility level. This becomes more significant as Agility level and Weight increase.

The rates as follows -

Run Energy scales between 0 and 10,000. This means that at level 1 Agility, your regen rate is (1 / 6) + 8, which gives a regen rate of 8 per tick (since we always round down). To regenerate from 0% to 100% would take 1,250 ticks, or 12 minutes and 30 seconds. At level 99 Agility, it takes 417 ticks to fully regenerate, or 4 minutes and 10 seconds. 

The new formula will look like this: (Agility level / 10) + 15.

This means that in the early stages of the game your Run Energy will regenerate noticeably faster.. so thoughts on this?

Soooo since I'm at a later stage in the game, am I going to actually notice any changes or naw? If it's remaining unchanged at lvl 99 seems weird to me too, like shouldn't it be even better at 99 now when you max out?

Because maths gets involved in EVERYTHING. Maths is an annoying critter that sticks its nose into places where you don't expect it. This is particularly annoying for people like me for whom numbers are strange things that I can't get to grips with.

No, lower levels don't have an advantage to someone who has trained it. It was increased at lower levels to have a quicker regeneration rate so that people starting the game don't lose their run energy and have to walk everywhere. It steadily increases until they reach 99 still. At 99 you can run (with graceful on) mostly all the way across the game map. Prior to the increase new accounts with 1 wouldn't make it from Lumby to Draynor without losing all of their run energy. So consider it this way: you can now run from Lumbridge to Falador (2 cities over) before your energy completely decreases. 

The above is of course provided you are wearing weight reducing clothing and aren't carrying an inventory of something heavy such as let's say an inv. of iron ore. The idea is making the game more friendly to newer players starting out. Therefore, reducing the drain on run energy at the lower levels will help out the players just starting off. Having 99 does not penalize the player, the rate still goes up. 

TLDR; Energy drain has been decreased at all levels to run farther, lower levels are able to run farther instead of such a large gap between the ability to recover run energy.

So I still go same vroom vroom speed but my vroom vroom speed recovers faster?

Yes I'm fairly certain your vroom vroom speed stays the same and your vroom vroom speed recovery is what's changing. You should see an increase in your vroom vroom recovery rate.

What's this about riots on OSRS i'm hearing?  I'm on the game right now and people keep talking about the riots in Falador but I went to Falador and didn't see anything e.e Is there a world for rioting?

Pessi becoming a Dev on the game and rioting happening soon after... coincidence? :V

It's because the new company that bought it recently wants $$$ profits and doesn't care about the player base. The J-Mods ofc don't want to implement any of these new proposals but the company only cares about profits on a chart going up. 

Soooo to sum it up, they think they'll start charging $32 a month for the game (lmaooo), it'll cost more if you want customer support (what??), additional accounts subscribed cost more instead of being able to have multiple characters when you pay for a member like MOST games, then they wanna add ads and it'll cost even MORE if you don't wanna see the ads (I mean really, HUH??) so on the Reddit there are thousands of people posting screenshots of them canceling their memberships and basically a giant uproar.

On w302 thousands of people came to riot so you had to go that world mainly. Jagex has already backtracked and released a statement mostly like ahaha.. just.. just kidding ya'll.. we just wanted to see what people had to say about this stuff not that we meant we were doing it.. but honestly the damage has been done. 

I went to see how it was playing out vvvvv The Runescape riot gear is people usually set up tons of canons and use the Retribution prayer over their heads lol ~

& If you see people screaming 6/6/06 it's because that was the date of the huge Runescape riot that caused half the player base to leave in 2006 which led up to EOC happening, and ultimate 2007scape having to be created. They are basically trying to add ideas that ruined the game in 2010, which led to the creation Old School. So it's like.. they didn't.. learn?

What I'm finding the most amusing is that whomever the Jagex mod was that posted the frantic apology post, cross posted it to Runescape 3, an entirely different game, and were in such a panic state they didn't even bother to edit the text from "OSRS" to "Runescape 3".

Not to worry though, as you can see above RS3 players are holding the line and protesting hard in Fally.
