Seshi
Has anyone started watching “Kimetsu no Yaiba” yet? Synopsis Since ancient times, rumors have abounded of man-eating demons lurking in the woods. Because of this, the local townsfolk never venture outside at night. Legend has it that a demon slayer also roams the night, hunting down these bloodthirsty demons. For young Tanjirou, these rumors will soon to become his harsh reality... Ever since the death of his father, Tanjirou has taken it upon himself to support his family. Although their lives may be hardened by tragedy, they've found happiness. But that ephemeral warmth is shattered one day when Tanjirou finds his family slaughtered and the lone survivor, his sister Nezuko, turned into a demon. To his surprise, however, Nezuko still shows signs of human emotion and thought... Thus begins Tanjirou's quest to fight demons and turn his sister human again. (Source: VIZ Media) So does “ Grisaia: Phantom Trigger Synopsis Following the Heath Oslo incident, the existence of the US-Japanese anti-terror organization CIRS has become a matter of public knowledge. CIRS has been rebuilt from the ground up, and its most covert functions spun off to a new agency: SORD (Social Ops, Research & Development). The goal of SORD is to train a new generation of operatives to defend the country against future threats. To that end, the organization has established a series of schools up and down the country. Mihama Academy, more-or-less left to rot after its abrupt closure, has been given new purpose as one such 'specialist training school'. This new incarnation of Mihama Academy is home to a diverse group of students, who every day work to polish their unusual skills – sometimes on the job. Mihama now entrusts the misfit girls who attend it with guns and live ammunition. Paying their own safety no heed, these students are again and again plunged into dangerous extrajudicial missions - all for the good of the realm. "We've been provided with a place in the world. That alone isn't enough - there wouldn't be any meaning in living, if that was all we had... It's not enough just to be made use of by others. I live by my own strength, and I fight to survive. That's the only way those of us who actually make it through can find forgiveness..." No matter how much life grinds them down, what future awaits these girls, who've themselves chosen the path of the gun? Ohayotaku
Just watched the first episode of Yu-No. I think it’s pretty safe to say that whatever attention is given to the alternate realities sci-fi storyline and exploration of parent/child relations will be overshadowed by raging teenage boy hormones. While I don’t dislike fanservice I don’t like it being this pervasive (homeroom teachers only dress like that in hentai & Van Halen music videos). Plus the MC already PO’s me. Doubt I’ll even give it the benefit of the 3 episode rule. Edited April 4, 2019 by Ohiotaku
Geano
I have not watched it just yet, but it is on my currently airing list so I certainly will be watching it very soon.

Ohayotaku
Other than Fruits Basket & Demon Slayer ( Kimetsu no Yaiba) most of this season's new shows seem lacking so far
Seshi
That sucks, but pretty much expected (to me). Usually I’ll only like one or 2 anime each season. I guess there’s something for everyone though. Just watched ep 1 of fruits basket. It was nicely done. I get a very different feel for the characters than I used to though. Loved the ED
Dot.com
Omg!!!! They have kimetsu no yaiba lined up for spring?!?!? I'm sad to call myself a fan if I haven't heard of that until today . I think that's the only thing I'll be looking forward to. Hopefully the art is as colorful as the manga.

I'm sad to call myself a fan if I haven't heard of that until today Don't feel bad, a lot of sites only referred to it as Demon Slayer, not the Japanese title. I'm unfamiliar with the source material but the 1st episode makes it seem like one of the few promising new series. On that topic, I just finished the 1st ep of Midnight Occult Civil Servants and enjoyed it as well (particularly the designs for the supernatural creatures & it's humorous side). Ohayotaku
Just finished the first episode of One Punch Man season 2. Despite some people complaining about a drop in "quality", I still think it made one of the better first impressions for the season.
Seshi
Ep 1 of Demon Slayer was great. Mixed a few elements from other favorite anime of mine.. I can see this one going far if they don’t ruin the source material. Parts of it reminded me of claymore, and some from Rurouni Kenshin. The animation style wasn’t as nice as claymore imo, seemed a little more childish.. which is weird given the content oh well. Still a pretty nice looking series so far

Ohayotaku
I think Im going to wait until the end of the season to attempt watching Sarazanmai instead of trying to follow it weekly. I enjoyed PenguinDrum despite it being weird as ****, but Im not sure Im onboard with some of what Ive heard about the new series. But Id hate to not at least give it a chance, especially since people are saying it has arguably the highest production quality of the season. Ohayotaku
Just watched the first 2 episodes of Senryu Girl. I think I've found my "cute" series for the season
KeilynLocke
I'm not usually one to watch series weekly, as they air, but I'm trying something new and I've found a few I am really enjoying so far. Of course the Furuba reboot is tops on the list. Not sure why I decided to try watching Hitoribocchi, but I'm surprised by how adorable I find it. Honestly from the synopsis, I thought wtf is this, but I wasn't liking anything else and decided to give it a go, and was pleasantly surprised by how cute it is. Then I found a pretty nice sports anime about a high school girls baseball team called Hachigatsu no Cinderella nine that is a bit on the slow side, but not half bad. And I found a second Diamond no Ace series, so I'm following that. I'm not sure if there're any other anime I'd not mind watching from this season. I actually enjoyed a good few released in the last year and a half.
Ohayotaku
Still undecided on Midnight Occult Civil Servants. Not a fan of the BL overtones, but do like that the supernatural creatures aren't all yokai (examples so far are angels, pixies & the Aztec deity Huehuecoyotl)
