    Comic Life

Comic Life is an application that lets you create... you guessed it, comics! Although you can make these in Photoshop, GIMP, Fireworks or whatever graphics editing app you use, sometimes you just want a quick and easy app with templates and I reckon this one does the job well. Here's a really quick one I made with no plot using some screenshots from Love Live - School Idol Project: Give it a go, and feel free to post your creations here.
  3. Honoka-chan doesn't take the news of the school closing down well... (Love Live! - School Idol Project)
  4. Hello @Augusto, welcome to Anime Forums. Hope you enjoy your stay.
  5. Sora from No Game No Life imitating the "Gendo Ikari" commander Neon Genesis Evangelion pose with the glasses and all.
  6. I'll be watching this tomorrow evening. Nice slider image by the way.
  7. Mesmerized by all the pretty fan art. :)

  8. Nice find! I just bought planetarian ~the reverie of a little planet~ looks like an interesting Key title.
  9. Cool. You did get a spare SATA cable to connect it to your motherboard or have some spares laying about right?
  10. I've fast tracked a gallery for Fubuki. Well, I'm guessing in the game the admiral is the player character. In any case, someone has to be running this district/town/academy.
  11. I enjoyed the first episode! Back-story is a bit thin so far, hopefully we learn more about this "Abyssal" fleet that appeared from the depths of the ocean. As expected, the fleet girls with their battle outfits are cute. Thoughts which I hope to see expanded: Who's the admiral? What is Akagi's relationship with Fubuki? Why does she hope to fight by her side one day? What's the source of the fleet girls' power? It's implied it is magic embedded within their souls. Fubuki is ditzy in a cute way. Her being new to combat and having Akagi-senpai in her thoughts will be interesting.
  12. Hello @Revvie, welcome to Anime Forums, do let me know if you have any feedback and I hope you enjoy your stay here. Cheers, to many more anime years to come.

  14. True true. My comment was more geared towards back home, in Australia many Sushi takeaway shops here often use Salmon and Tuna, which is something I have to be careful of. I do regret not trying more of the different regional Japanese food specialities during my last visit, oh well always next time.

    Creating an AMV

Thanks all for the feedback and thoughts. I have another AMV idea in mind (will be my second Angel Beats one). My first one was action oriented, this time around I'd love to do a more slower paced one to better fit the spirit of the emotional scenes in Angel Beats. Moved to Technology section.
  16. Great. Honoka is the MC, she reminds me of a really hyper version of Yui (K-ON!) though less moe. Kotori on the other hand, she is very moe. Arguably the most popular character based on how much merchandise is available for her.

    Music sources

How do you normally buy your music? I prefer audio CDs, mainly because all anime OSTs are still released this way in Japan. But for Western songs, iTunes is really convenient which I've used a few times for use in my AMVs as often I don't want the full album. For the more technical minded...iTunes music is AAC 256kbps, whilst Google Play uses MP3 320kbps. Both are at very very respectable quality levels. But audio CD still has the best quality (though you likely won't hear it unless you have really high end audio equipment). Streaming subscription services are also popular too, we have a SONOs hi-fi device at home which has access to Spotify. For $12 AUD a month it's very reasonable for what you get, on-demand access to songs and definitely beats normal radio with its Internet stations (no ads).
  18. Any fans of Love Live? This music title reminded me strongly of K-ON. Characters are all very likable, and plot to well... save the school though getting old is done really well here due to its strong pacing. The Love Live aspiration plot was also well done too. I've only seen the first season so far, second one is on my to watch list. Side note: character profiles written for its landing page.
  19. Not at all @drill. Thinking of ideas for another video.
  20. Ah I see. Unfortunately not at this time as I've got my hands full managing Anime Forums, working and writing character profiles. Next anime season is also starting in like 3 days.
  21. Working on Love Live! School Idol Project content and galleries. :)

  22. Well they often had an English menu as I only went to ones that were around tourist areas. I'm sure you can relate to what I'm saying when I say that the level of English throughout Japan is, to put it bluntly... poor. At least when compared to other Asian countries like Singapore, Malaysia and Hong Kong. Often the English word order is wrong but it's good enough to get the gist of it. It sounds like you have to be careful when visiting during festivals or special events as they sound like they get extremely busy! Speaking of events, one day I would like to visit during the cherry blossom bloom season but again that sounds like it gets very busy from a tourist perspective. Have you had a chance to experience that?
  23. Hello Nappy, welcome to Anime Forums. Sounds like you've been writing for sometime now. Would you happen to have a portfolio or place that showcases some of your written works? Or do you generally showcase privately on a 1 to 1 basis? Prepare yourself for the increasing number of commitments and bills as you approach adulthood. Ganbatte! That is kind and generous of you. At this time though we don't have many writers, at least not ones that write original anime or manga ideas. But I'll be sure to forward anyone that may be interested your way.
  24. That sounds outstanding. I've heard great things about Super Potato. Admittedly though I didn't visit it as I don't really have any interest in vintage gaming anymore. On a related note though, I see Japan uses 100V for their power supply whilst the US uses 120V ? I'm from Australia which uses 240V so many older appliances you'd have no chance of using here without a stepdown transformer. I'm curious if your Super Famicom worked OK back in the US? Out of curiosity, what was the pricing like for the food and service at the butler cafe? The maid cafe I went to was one called maidreamin. Here's a photo I took of the English menu. They do different packages, and you can get a commemorative photo and clear folder. AKB? Are you referring to AKB48? I do recall seeing a AKB48 themed cafe... Are you referring to Nakano Broadway? Lots of second hand anime merchandise: blurays, DVDs and figures. I was surprised to see the Digimon Adventure Japanese DVD box set, RRP 50,000 yen and it was selling for like an inflated 70,000 yen as it was out of print. THOUGH I imagine that would severely have dropped now in price with the new original Digimon Adventure bluray set coming out.
  25. We can expect to see the second Attack on Titan TV series air sometime in 2016. Source: http://www.crunchyroll.com/anime-news/2014/11/21-1/2016-attack-on-titan-season-2-plans-confirmed
