Rushing around this weekend trying to get the home front taken care of for the next few weeks. Groceries, cleaning, yardwork, etc. Artemis is on the pad and Monday starts right in with the "wet rehearsal". After that there's the launch window opening on the 8th and 24/7 support until splashdown 10 days later so this is basically the last weekend I'll have the energy for much domestic activity for a while. Hopefully they won't slip the launch. Gak. Getting too old for this sort of thing.

Haha.. correct. The rehearsal is about testing out the ground equipment - pipes, valves, computers, etc. - and launch procedures to make sure everything works as intended and the vehicle can be operated safely to liftoff before putting humans on it. That of course does involve pumping fuel into (and out of) the vehicle, as well as running a countdown and simulating various problem scenarios. Often it includes finding actual unexpected issues that will have to be understood and solved before the actual launch can proceed.
Hopefully the unusually cold weather won't cause problems or delays.
