  1. I had called off of work to due taking time to tend to my mental health and, when asked if I was ready to come back a week later, I wasn’t sure if I was ready. I did end up going in and felt pretty bad.
  2. I thought tomorrow’s high was going to be 100 degrees Fahrenheit but it’s actually gonna be 108.
  3. Is there a story to follow? Are we students at UA or a different hero school?
  4. I AM NOT SEEKING CRITIQUES! TW: Talk of illness You and Koby have been together for nearly 3 years. The two of you lived together quite comfortably, your home being larger than most. The income you both gathered was enough to get you into the "very well off" category. Still, neither of you flaunted it. You simply didn't see that as necessary and Koby got nervous when talking about it, repeating "Well, I didn't mean it that way!" or "I-I know we are both well off but I don't want to brag!" with a blush plastered across his cheeks. It was only you, him, and your dog. Koby was attending to matters with his fellow Marines while you were at home...suffering. You called off of work because you weren't feeling well. Your stomach was in knots, a fever was encroaching, and had nasal congestion. It felt like the flu. It also felt like you couldn't get warm enough no matter how many blankets you put over yourself along with the sweatshirt, sweatpants, and slippers you were already wearing on your body. The shivering was non-stop. The couch may as well been your home at this point because you couldn't find the strength to get up and off of it. When you did try to stand up, you felt faint. You had no concept of time, having no idea how long you had been lying there. Drifting in and out of sleep with an overall delirious feeling might as well had taken away all of your basic knowledge: telling time, counting, etc. You felt that screwed up. It had been about 9 hours since you lied down and didn't realize until now that Koby was gone. You remember he had to go into see Garp today but your memory seemed to have thrown that part of your day out. Nothing was making sense to you thanks to your now high fever. You hear the front door to your home open. It's Koby. He hangs up his Marine jacket and scarf, takes off his shoes, and happily walks over to you. "Hi, blossom. I'm sorry that I was gone for long... the meeting turned into something else entirely. Garp was angry, Helmeppo and I were caught in the middle, Smoker had a lot to say- it was just crazy. Again, I'm sorry. You know I hate being away from you for even a little while. I just love you so much". You don't respond. Koby registers the fact that you are engulfed in blankets. The only part of you not is half of your face. He also notices that all of the lights are off. He looks down at you with confusion. "Hey, what's wrong, [Y/N]?" You stir and let out a mumble. Koby bends down to your level and softly brushes the hair from your face. He quickly discerns that something is seriously wrong and takes the blanket completely off of your face. "You don't look good, blossom, not at all. What's going on? Tell me how you feel". Before you can respond, he stands back up and turns on a nearby light. A small level of strength arises in you and you say that nothing is wrong. A weak smile follows. Your husband feels your forehead and it doesn't take long for him to deduce that you have a fever. "You say that you're fine but it's clear that you're not. You have a raging fever, your eyes are bloodshot, you're pale, you're shaking, and you sound really congested. When did this start? Please tell me you stayed home today!" "It started today. I did stay home" was all you could mutter "Oh, [Y/N] you poor thing... Here, let me help you upstairs. I can get a nice bath running for you and then you can get into your pajamas and go straight to bed. You'll be much more comfortable in bed than you will be here". The pink hair man slowly and delicately sits you up. You suddenly become light headed and a tidal wave of nausea hits you. A gag leaves your mouth and you put the palm of your hand up to it to indicate to him that you are about to lose it. "Are you going to throw up? Uhh, here! Use this little trash can!" he exclaims, rapidly bringing a nearby little trash can up to your face. You hold onto it. You proceed to vomit. Koby rubs your back and hold the hood of your sweatshirt back so it doesn't get touched by the fluid. "Shh...Shh.. Just let it out, okay? I'm here" he says sweetly albeit with this eyes closed. After a few minutes, the vomiting ceases. While it was unpleasant, you admittedly felt a little better. That is actually made apparent quickly, as your lightheadedness dissipates and you can now speak with more vigor. After Koby you cleans you up a bit, you embrace him in a tight hug. "It's alright, honey. I'm going to help you" he whispers. He picks you up bridal style, kisses you on the forehead, and carries you up the staircase to your bedroom. He lies you down onto the bed and removes all of the blankets that were on you previously. He then steps away to start a warm bath for you. It takes about 10 minutes for the bathtub to fill up with water and Koby is careful to ensure it is just the right temperature. He comes back into the bedroom and steadily sits you up. "Let me help you get undressed, okay?" he says. You oblige and lift up both your arms. The sweatshirt is slid off only leaving you in one of Koby's T-shirts, a pair of your sweatpants, and a pair of your [F/C] slippers. Koby giggles at the sight. You love wearing his shirts. You tell him you can take every remaining article off yourself. You were slightly embarrassed that your husband had to help undress you... "Okay, no problem. Take your time. Here is a towel you can put over yourself when you're done and you can walk into the bathroom with it. I won't look!" He places the palm of his hand over his eyes with those last words. You did not realize how sore your muscles were until this moment. The movements involved in taking off your clothes caused your muscles to scream out in agony. A few breaks were needed. After everything was off, you get off the bed and wrap the grey towel Koby left for you around your body. He takes his hand off of his eyes and helps walk you into the bathroom by walking behind you and putting his hands around your waist. Once you make it inside, he closes the door behind you and lets you get into the bath in privacy. You normally would have invited him to join you and vise versa but you did not feel up to it at the moment. You take off the towel and, whilst you are sitting in the bath trying to relax, Koby is laying out a fresh, clean pair of pajamas for you: one of his T-shirts, a pair of your underwear, and your favorite pair of sweatpants. He also closes the curtains and blinds and pulls the comforter back and fluffs up your pillow. Finally, he puts 2 pain decreasing pills on your nightstand with a glass of water. He himself gets into his pajamas and lies down. However, he continues to listen carefully should you call out for his help. You were only in the bath for 15 minutes. While the warm water helped ease your chills and sore muscles and eased your congestion thanks to the humidity, you desperately wanted to be in your bed. Rising from the tub, you drain the water and step out. You then put your towel back on and brush your teeth. After that, you walk back into the bedroom and put the clothes Koby left out for you on. Your husband rushes to your side and succored you with lying down onto the mattress. You close your eyes and feel yourself about to fall asleep but Koby boops you on the nose. Opening your eyes, you see that he is handing you the pain relievers in one hand and the glass of water in the other. You sit up. "Thanks" you say as you boop his nose in return. You swallow both of the pills with the aid of the water. He takes the glass back from you and places it back onto the nightstand. You smile at each other when he kisses your lips. It's soft but passionate. He caresses your cheek with one of his hands and the kiss gets deeper. You wrap your arms around his shoulders and he puts his free hand on your thigh. The kiss lasts awhile but he does pull away. Before he can speak, you tell him that he will catch whatever it is you have. He insist it's fine and that he would rather not be around Garp's recent angry self if he can help it. He then leans his forehead onto yours and looks into your tired eyes and smiles. "Get some rest, blossom, okay? Don't be afraid to tell me if you need anything. I'll be staying home with you until you are back on your feet. You always come first". Lying back down, you fall asleep almost instantaneously. Koby puts the comforter on you and gives you another kiss on your forehead. Turning off the lights, he proceeds to get ready for bed himself...even though it was only 6:00pm. He was going to stick by your side as close and often as he could to make certain that you recover.
  5. I AM NOT SEEKING CRITIQUES! You and Shisui had been good friends for a good number of years and you felt like he was almost a brother to you. When he wasn't training or when you weren't working, you were hanging out with each other. You felt that you could tell Shisui anything and you also felt that you could just open up to him without feeling judged. He listened to you and it really made you feel special. You worked at the local tea shop in the Leaf Village and Shisui would occasionally stop by to come and say hello to you while you were working. Recently, however, you noticed that you had been seeing less and less of him. Whenever you asked Itachi or Sasuke where he was, they always told you that he was training. You had no reason not to believe them, so you just thought that he was training harder than usual latley. One Friday morning, you arrived at the tea shop to start your shift. Customers were literally coming and going all throughout morning and you were having trouble getting to everyone's orders. Thankfully, the rush eventually settled. You were standing behind the counter counting the tins of tea leaves when you heard the shop's front door bell, signaling that someone had entered. As soon as you heard that chime, you hoped that Shisui would be the one entering. However, It was Itachi. Still, Itachi was someone you had come to grow fond of. He was intelligent, wise, and amazingly strong. He would sometimes spend some time with you and him. He walked up to the counter and greeted you. "Things seem rather slow now". "Yeah, it's usually really busy here in the mornings. Especially weekend mornings because everyone is probably headed to work" you replied while resting your elbow on the counter and then placing your chin on your hand. "So, what can I get you?" you added. "Nothing for me. Thank you, though" "Really? Well, alright. Are you waiting for someone?" "I am supposed to meet Shisui here. He informed me that he wanted to discuss something with me" At that name, you froze for a moment. Why would Shisui be making plans with someone and then turn around and avoid you? Is he mad at you? Are you thinking too much into this? Hundreds of possibilities ran wild through your mind and you began to worry a bit. But now that you had the opportunity, you'd ask him about his recent behavior. He finally came inside of the shop and shot you a smile as he proceeded to walk up to you. "Hi, (Y/N)" "...Hi" you hesitated; almost awaiting an explanation from him. "Can I just have some plain green tea? Thanks" "Yeah, sure" you replied while begging to brew the drink An awkward silence flooded the air around you both and your eyes trailed off to the side. You then decided to speak up... "So, Shisui... I hear you've been training really hard lately. How is it all going?" "Hm? Oh, training. Yeah, it's going well. Itachi has been teaching me quite a lot" "That's good. Here's your tea. Careful, it's very hot" you sighed while handing him his drink. He shot you another smile, took his tea, and walked to the table where Itachi was sitting at. Shisui's P.O.V: "What the hell, Itachi! You didn't tell me that (Y/N) was working today!" he whispered Itachi just looked at the ninja sitting in front of him with no words following. "What? Why are you giving me that look?" "You can't hide your feelings for her". She knows that you've been ignoring her and it's beginning to make her feel unsure about things. You cannot keep making excuses. Nobody "trains" that much; not even the Hokage did" "Still... I wanted to discuss this without worrying about her hearing..." "Look, Sasuke would recommend the same. Just be upfront. Anyway, I have to go" Itachi stated as he rose from his seat to leave. "Wait! Damnit..." But it was too late. He had already left. Your P.O.V: Now, it was just you and Shisui in the shop. Utter silence again filled the room for a good while until he suddenly stood up and slowly walked toward you once more. He was now standing face to face with you; glaring at you with nervous eyes. You raised an eyebrow at him. "What?" Shisui was now blushing and had one arm crossed behind his head. "(Y/N)...Will you go out with me sometime?" Did he just ask you out? Where did this come from? Is he being serious? You were shocked that he asked you such a thing, but you also couldn't deny that you had feelings for him. You never thought that a relationship was possible between you two, so you never let your feelings show or said a word regarding them. At the same time, however, you wanted to shout at him and confront him about giving you the cold shoulder. But before you could release your frustrations, an idea popped into your head. Maybe you could use this date as a time to ask Shisui about things. You wanted to let him know how angry you were, but you also didn't want to ruin your chances with him. "Sure! I'd love to! How does later this evening sound?" "Really? That's great! Let's meet by the training field around 7:30pm, okay?" "Sounds good!" you exclaimed, giving a fake smile. ~Time Skip~ You had gotten off of work, gone home, and prettied yourself up for your time with Shisui. Even though you were frustrated with him, you were also rather excited about this. You exited your home and made your way to the place where you said you'd meet. ~Time Skip~ Now sitting on a large rock, you noticed that the sky was growing dark and that the sun was setting. You were wondering if he was even going to come. Was he really going to show you up? If so, you'd have a hell of a lot more to say to him than you do now. Just then, you heard the grass rustling. A figure was making its way toward you but you couldn't make out who it was. You cautiously reached for one of your kunai in your pouch and braced yourself for a fight. "Hey, no need to be afraid" said Shisui "Oh, it's you. I honestly couldn't tell it was you, so I panicked. Sorry about that" you explained with a small laugh following. "It's alright". Shisui then climbed up the rock you were sitting on and sat himself next to you. You were both looking up at the now star-filled sky. You desperately wanted to wait until later about asking about his actions as of late, but you just couldn't. You needed to know why he was acting this way and you were going to figure out why right now. You slammed your fist into the stone underneath you and he jumped slightly. "Why have you been ignoring me?" you asked, tears almost flooding your eyes. "What?" "Why have you been avoiding me, Shisui? We used to be so close and you've been purposely avoiding me for weeks now! Why? How do you have the nerve to do such a thing and then ask me out like its no big deal? Who the hell do you think you are?" All of your suppressed anger was now leaving you. You didn't want to unleash it all like this, but it was too late. "I mean, really! Where the hell do you get off being so close with someone for so long and then acting like a complete jerk!? What's your problem!?" you shouted, scorning at himwith your tear-filled eyes. You then swiftly turned your face away, not wanting him to see you cry. You tried to stop crying when you felt a hand touch your shoulder. "(Y/N), there's a reason I haven't been around. Please, just listen to me for a second..." he explained. You sat quietly awaiting for him to speak. "You and I have been friends for so long and I'd be lying if I told you that I wasn't falling in love with you. I have been concealing these feelings from you and I wasn't sure how to deal with them. I wanted to tell you, I truly did, but I was scared. Until I could think of a way to talk to you about it, I figured I'd give myself some time to think it over by telling you that I was so frequently busy with things. I've been beating myself up over this for what feels like forever and I finally had the courage to ask you out. I was going to admit my feelings to you" ... Shisui's words left you speechless. Was he really putting himself through all of that just because he had feelings for you? You turned your head toward him and playfully shoved his shoulder. "This whole time, I assumed that you were done with me. Have you seriously been going out of your way to think of ways to handle this?" "I have". Just then, your hand slipped and you fell backwards off of the rock. Your hand reached out to him and dragged him down with you; resulting in him landing on top of you. Your faces were inches away from each other. You both blushed as you got caught staring into each other's eyes. You, again, turned your face away. "How can I be sure that you aren't lying to me?" you pouted Shisui placed his hand on your check and and moved your face back to face his. "Does this prove that I'm telling the truth?" Just then, he kissed you. You felt completely weightless as stars spun around you. You had never felt anything like this before. After a moment, Shisui then sat you upright as he wrapped his arms around you; enclosing you in a loving embrace. You had never felt so secure and so loved in your life... You both pulled away from each other and rested your forehead onto his, smiling sweetly. "So, does that prove it? Hm?" He chuckled. "Yes, it does". Itachi and Sasuke's P.O.V: "It looks like your advice wasn't so terrible after all" Sasuke said sarcastically to his brother as they both watched from afar in a tree. Itachi just smiled at Sasuke and they both leaped away.
  6. Yeah, it looks like another user asked a similar question about this. But, I don’t agree with this feature. I think that being able to edit your own posts should be allowed at any point in time. When I was an admin on a forum, it was considered to prevent users from editing their own posts after a certain period of time but we ultimately decided to not implement that because it would result in users reporting the posts they wanted altered and it would get a little annoying for staff to tend to those reports. Reports should be reserved for bringing inappropriate or wrongly placed material to staff’s attention - not for trivial matters like that. There was also the worry that users would modify their posts in an effort to hide something like an insult. But, staff had access to the edit history of any and all users so that worry was mitigated. I don’t know if this something staff here can do now or if they can apply it in the future. Granted, the forum I staffed was larger and much busier than this one so we received reports more regularly so I can understand if staff here don’t find these reports to be a big deal. However, I do still think that the editing feature should be of unlimited use... A user has 0 control over something in their post like a YouTube video getting deleted or an attachment randomly becoming unviewable due to an expired link, a glitch, etc. I just don’t think that we should have to report these things when we can easily fix it ourselves. Of course, at the end of the day, leaving a post without revision isn’t the end of the world and it certainly isn’t a must that staff tend to all wishes of post revision. I understand this. But, I stand by my position. What I have just stated is, in no way, meant to make the staff here feel in any negative way.
  7. I apologize if this has already been addressed elsewhere. I would like to edit one of my blog entries in my Favorite anime openings and endings category but there is no option to do so. The YouTube video that was in it has been deleted so I obviously don’t want it there anymore. I also want to add a line of text where the video is instead to replace it. I clicked MANAGE BLOG > Edit blog > Entry Categories but there is no option to edit specific entries in that category. How can I edit this myself? Do I have to submit a report explaining what I wanted edited and why? Is there a limit as to how long a user has to use this feature? I noticed I cannot edit other things as well like old posts I have made in threads.
  8. I enjoyed AoT! I was surprised how much I liked it, as I anticipated becoming disinterested early into viewing. I recommend it often albeit I personally didn’t like how it ended.
  9. Welcome! Happy to have you. I hope you enjoy your stay on your first anime forum. I promise they are fun lol
  10. I haven’t done anything today. I called off of work because I wasn’t feeling well so I’ll continue to do nothing lol
  11. I’m feeling very…neutral. I don’t feel strongly either way.
  12. He is eyeing some great food at the buffet and is mentally preparing to shove the elderly woman out of the way to get to it.

    Plants

I personally don’t own or care for any plants because I’m not very educated on proper plant care. I wish I was, though because there are some flowers I absolutely love and would love to see them in or around my house. Roses, Hibiscus, pink hydrangeas, and orchids are my favorites.
  14. Earl grey and English breakfast tea should always be served hot in my opinion. I add milk and (admittedly too much) sugar. I can drink green tea hot or cold but I think hot is just a bit better.

I am an avid fan fiction writer! I specialize in inserts (reader x [insert anime character here]). I have been publishing on my Wattpad for a couple of years now.
  16. Well, welcome nonetheless! I hope you hang around for another five years?
  17. Your choice in waifu tells me that you and I wouldn’t be compatible…
  18. The last thing I drank was coffee. I am supposed to stick to decaf but all we had was caffeinated.
  19. I am feeling incredibly stressed. My parents threw some less than ideal news on me and I can’t stop thinking about it.
