Probably. I can definitely see that, with the behind the scenes stuff talked about a few time.

As for your question, since you are referring to major streaming sites, you can actually use two sites to find that info, which are:

    • Can I Stream It? (Web add is exactly how you would write it out, sans the “?”, with “it” being TLD)
    • Just Watch

I did a quick search on Hulu and it requires the expensive $40/month plan to watch, but they do have it.

I don't have cable so my fiance and I did the $40 dollar route as well as have Netflix. We don't go out much so after work we like to come home, snuggle on our couch and watch Hulu or Netflix. That's what we call our "treat". No bars, no going out with friends much (unless it's hanging out at their home or a family gathering). The only hopping thing we do is in the grocery department, lol. I do visit my parents once or twice a week too because I like to check up on them and I like to do some cleaning there (they're getting up there in age so I don't like them having to do everything).

Sorry I can of trailed off there, but yeah that's what we splurge on.

  2. Sounds like they are going the Pokemon route... continuing the series so new generations can hop on the bandwagon. I'll admit though I haven't watched any of the Super series yet. Only watched the original Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z. Curious to see if it's worth watching; anyone know if Hulu or Netflix streams the Super series yet?

I guess there is a kind of collectable aspect - especially if there's exclusive "extras" included in the deal - but for me it more about not wanting to lose access to some content that I really like.  Stuff has a habit of disappearing without warning from streaming sites.  If I like something enough that I feel I might want to re-watch it in the future then I'll get the DVD.  In that respect the streaming sites are just a kind of preview system so I can find the stuff I like without having to make a huge investment in purchasing discs, most of which I'll never watch a second time, and many of which I won't even finish.  I consider what I've got on plex on my NAS to be my main source of anime.

That is my biggest fear as well >> an anime movie or series suddenly gone and I don't trust most free sites because of the increase of hackers, viruses, etc. Plus most want you to "sign up" which means "Let us spam you with junk mail in the next 5 minutes and maybe for the rest of your life too"... nah, I'm good man, lol. Plus I don't personally like streaming to be honest unless, like you said, it's for previewing purposes. However my fiance is the one that has been looking for an anime streaming service really, not me. I'd rather go and buy it if I've seen it before.

From what I have seen in a lot of cases for anime at least for the short single season anime series there is a fairly steep price jump from regular DVD to Blu-ray ROM. It is honestly kinda surprising to me sense blu-ray in general has become so cheep. I will say that for the price if you are going about it this way that unless you find a really good deal that pricing will certainly be better for regular DVDs.

So I've noticed. I usually only buy the anime that I prize the most on Blu Ray and most of the time it's when they are on sale. I scored a blu ray limited edition version of Summer Wars for 22 US dollars. I was so freaking happy, lol.

I currently subscribe to crunchy, plus I "borrow" my brother's netflix and hulu accounts when I want to stream something that's not on crunchy.  In the past I've also subscribed to Funi, though I don't currently.  However, like others have said, even using multiple streaming services I don't get access to everything.  Some stuff never shows up on any streaming site.

If I really like something I'll buy the DVD.  Usually NOT blu-ray though, unless there's no other option.  (BR media is a lot more susceptible to scratches than DVDs in my experience, but can be a pain to rip when I want to back up my purchase to my NAS.  YMMV..)

Most of my anime are DVD as well which honestly I don't know why I haven't fully switched to Blu Ray (I have when it comes to my other movies and TV series). I baby my discs either way but I like BR better. I don't back them up or anything (because I'm dumb when it comes to that sort of thing).

  6. Pajama Sam: You Are What You Eat (PC)

Dude, I used to play this all the time back in grade school and just recently found it on Steam. Bought it and replaying it, heck yeah!

    Spyro (PS4)

Decided to jump back into Spyro and managed to get 46% done on the first game. Most likely won't get to the 100% mark just because I skip a lot of the mini games and collecting gems gets rather annoying, lol.

  7. :D >>> Laughing because she's currently rewatching the series, via Hulu

I used to be obsessed with series back when I was a kid (before Naruto suddenly came in and swooped me away). I just recently seen that the series is on Hulu thus I usually watch 1 or 2 episodes before bed. Honestly, I still like it and probably like it a little bit more than I do Naruto now.

I think people forget that Zatchbell was directed more towards elementary aged kids rather than preteen to high school.

Even if you pay for every legal anime streaming service available to English speaking audiences, you won't get everything.

As such, I don't think I can say names, but free sites aren't as bad as they're made out to be. Watch what you can legally if you'd like, but just remember that even if you're paying around $40-$50 a month for a load of streaming services, you won't get everything.

A fantastic way to give back to the industry is to buy blurays, so doing that is an option as well if you so choose to ever get into free sites.

I only offer this up as a very viable option, simply because it is a very viable option, and one that should be greatly considered rather than being locked out of seeing certain series because of dumb licensing fees.

I buy both in store and online when I can find that anime.

I forgot that FUNimation partnered with Hulu after their breakup with Crunchyroll and I have Hulu so there's that for me, lol. Also I used to know a really good free streaming service but because of the sudden crackdown on free anime streaming services that occurred about 2 or so years ago it was one of the sites that was shut down so unfortunately I no longer know of any other site and honestly I fear of viruses and crap so I avoid sketchy sites and that's all I apparently can find, ugh.

  9. Never knew the author died. I loved the anime, haven't read the manga though. Should probably do so, lol.

About the hentai part... were they referring to the anime or the manga or both? If they were referring to the anime, how is it even "almost hental"? It's not even closely related to hentai. Whoever created that article really needs to watch real hentai series. Boobie and butt grabbing with some makeout sessions is definitely NOT hentai, not even remotely. It's fan service, lol.

  10. What are these friends you speak of?

    JK :D

Seriously though, I have like one, if that and I the most I frequently do with her is snapchat. I try making friends and unfortunately most of them end up thinking I'm going to sleep with them and things get weird and I end up calling the cops. I'm engaged, miscarried once and haven't been able to get pregnant since. Anyway, most days I don't mind not really having friends since I prefer being by myself; then there are days I see people making plans with their friends and just having someone to talk to in general and I feel a pang of pain. I'm a gamer and anime fanatic at heart so normally I get labeled as weird or I talk way too much so I think I'm annoying.

  11. I've never had any problems with Rightstuf either but now I'm a little afraid; especially since this is the only site where I can find most of my anime from and they usually have decent deals. My Best Buy has slim pickings when it comes to anime and BAM up scales their prices on anime movies and series way too high. They literally wanted Part One of Soul Eater for over $50 when I can order the complete series online or buy the complete series at Best Buy for $50.  And I'm definitely not about to resort to buying series or movies on Amazon or Ebay, lol.

  12. @Beocat @Kohloo Don't have many friends on Switch and don't have a lot of friends who play that sort of game on PS4. Wish I had more friends on PS4 that played those kind of games. Most just play GTA V. Blah...

@Beocat Is the game easy to play on PS4 or is the mechanics annoying after awhile? I guess I'm trying to find which system that it would be good for, lol. Maybe I'll get it for PS4 then...

  13. I had a feeling this would be coming as well. I won't be surprised if more and more systems start doing the same. Just going digital. It will definitely suck for those who have no internet access and most free wifi is so damn slow it'll take hours to download even the smallest of games.

Honestly though I personally don't care much for digital copies. I prefer physical copies only because of the fact that my biggest fear is, "What if someone gets into my account?" then I'd lose everything. I mean, I could probably print my receipts from all my digital copies in case anything like that happened but I really don't want to go through the hassle of fighting with Customer Service... however if that's the only way, so be it I guess; I don't have much of an option unless I quit gaming altogether.
