Making onigiri for the first time today. I'll be making a few with lemon pepper tuna & a few with salted plum. I think as a fun hobby I'm going to start making onigiri to celebrate some of my favorite anime characters.

In less than 5 episodes, Dororo has become one of my top 5 favorite anime of all time. I am just loving everything about this series so far.

Just bought an awesome new pair of heeled boots so you know what that means.....
A week or two of walking around in them at home so that I hopefully don't slip & break my neck out in public, that's what!

Oh my God...I summoned the Queen Bee in Terraria by mistake & that boss battle scared the HELL out of me! She literally growls, snarls, & roars at you while coming at you at the speed of light, knocking you all over the place. My goodness!

That sure would have been nice to know because I teleported myself back home because someone told me that it's actually better to fight her out in the open versus in an enclosed space like a cave. I'm going to battle her again today now that I have a weapon that does higher damage & better armor as well.

Clams Casino is one of my favorite electronic musicians. Think I'm gonna create some standing ab workouts around their songs.

Broiling lobster tails and shrimp this weekend
Haven't broiled lobster in ages & because I don't want to screw them up, I found a simple recipe to follow:
-
Woke up this morning completely sore from the changes I made to some of my ab & glute exercises. Another week or so & I'll be used to it but in the meantime...ouch!
I did manage to get my steps in today but not much else. Oh well, if there's one thing I've learned through all this it's that when my body needs a rest day, just take it & hush lol.
-
Decided to add a few different exercises to my lower body routine.
I...am...hurting...
But by next week I will be used to it. I also got one of those fitness balls to use for my ab work & am also looking into more upper body exercises besides arm curls & push ups.
All in all, the workouts are still going great & I'm still able to maintain 20,000 steps a day. I think I will stick with this until the end of the year & then in January drop my steps back down to 15,000 a day & increase my weight lifting for 3 months, then switch back, & continue that all year.
I'm starting to tone up nicely, so I'm excited to see what further progress I will have made by the end of the year.

What better victory feast to celebrate my defeating the Eye of Cthullu in Terraria than fresh salmon soaked in a lemon butter herb sauce & then wrapped in foil & roasted in the oven & served with steamed vegetables? Nothing....absolutely nothing.

Finished the first season of Natsume's Book of Friends last night & enjoyed it so much that I've started season 2 this morning. I really like the depth of Natsume's character & the growth of his bond with Madara.

I took my measurements on August 1st & again this morning & I've made some great progress so I'm very proud of myself. I don't have any set time frame for reaching my health goals but I do strive to make more significant progress by the end of the year.

Natsume's Book of Friends is awesome!

Squats & hip raises are going to be the death of me....

Found some lingonberry jam at the market today. I think there will be some homemade Swedish crepes to accompany a lovely European inspired breakfast in my not too distant future.

@Nicholas D. Wolfwood I love that image so much! Yourichi is such a badass!

I just made some spicy baked tilapia, roasted root vegetables, & sauteed corn & mushrooms. My kitchen smells amazing!
-
@EvaUnit69 I bet they were tasty. I'm determined to visit the UK one day & have fish & chips there, just because lol.

Tonight's dinner was some baked tilapia with roasted Brussels sprouts, onions, & butternut squash. I am now dancing around like a lunatic thanks to @EvaUnit69

You know, it's a darn shame that I have to drive to an entirely different city just to find produce that doesn't look it fell out of a rubbish bin. On the bright side, I did find a wider variety of fruits for snacking this week: apples, pluots, red plums, pears, peaches, & nectarines.
I also plan to get some grapefruit, lemons, apricots, & grapes but I'll have to drive even further away for those so I might just go in the morning.
The best part of this is that now that I eat fruit so often I've begun to crave it instead of things like potato chips, cookies, etc. & I'm not too far from reaching my next weight & fitness goals, so this is very encouraging.

@Wedgy thank you. It has been an adjustment to be sure.
I've started taking a clear bag with fruit in it & leaving it in my desk at work so I have one to snack on in the morning & one to eat right before I clock out so that I'm not tempted to stop anywhere on the way home or over eat at dinner. I also have a full glass of water before I leave as well.
I pass 5 different restaurants on the way home & I only live a few minutes from my office. Luckily, I stopped eating fast food last November. Keeping well stocked on veggie burgers & plant based nuggets, etc. keeps me from being tempted to stop also.
I've had to put all these small behavior changes in place but now they're just second nature. I've been reading articles on how obesity decreases the effectiveness of medicines & vaccines due to the underlying issues that often accompany being overweight. That paired with my desire to just have more energy, travel more, & get serious about cosplaying are all more than enough reasons for me to make my health my main priority.

Ventured out to the grocery store today & found some new vegetarian/vegan goodies to try:
At 54 grams of fat per pot pie(not to mention a ton of sodium), I opted not to get those but dang they look good lol.
