I thought I'd have quiet a bit of memories to share in this post but then I realized, I have very few actually embarrassing moments because I avoid people so as not to have those sort of memories ... Although, I do still have one that I will most likely never forget because it was actually a really big deal for me. It was on New Years and I was with my Family celebrating; so we're watching the New Years Eve party and all talking about what we wanna do next year, when this commercial comes on ... Now, this wasn't just any commercial, this was the announcement of my favorite TV show finally coming back with it's last season; usually I would've been like, "Eeeeek!" and then maybe fan-girled about it for the rest of the commercial break, but this was, and is, my favorite show ... So, I ended up just bursting into tears on the spot and hyperventilating while my whole family just stared at me like I was crazy ... I then continued to hyperventilate and shake for the remainder of the night and barely get any sleep because I was having a panic attack wondering how the season was gonna play out. I felt really embarrassed the next day because no one else had the same reaction as me even though they'd watched said show with me ...

Eh, depends. Do I like this particular job enough to not hire someone? 1. To get to the after life. 2. A lot of people actually don't, but those that do are most likely just seeking answers. 3. When is anything easy to do when you actually wanna do it? I'm usually calm but if Anime is involved I will be fangirl ranting for hours.

I'd probably just hoard it for a while because that's the kind of person I am ... Although, I'd probably end up spending it on Anime related items in the future.

Hello, I am that one quiet person who likes to go on rants at random times ... I decided to make one of these forums so you could ask me questions since no one knows anything about me, other than the fact that I like to rant. So, go ahead and ask as many questions as you'd like and I'll answer them as best I can.

Definitely a 10 seeing as I'm a complete mess in almost any social situation and never speak to anyone ... I'm also not a very likable person because I'm so strange and no one really gets my humour or thoughts; therefor, I stay away from other humans and live in the far recesses of my dark and strange mind where no one will ever find me.

Exactly. They veered so far off the actual Joker's path that there was nothing left that connected the two, in any way.
-
Yeah, true ... Although, seeing someone who looked more like Harley Quinn and could actually pull of the crazy smile would have been way better even with the horrible writing ... Now, I know the movies are made for wide audiences who haven't read the comics so Hollywood uses big names to draw people in, but I felt like this whole movie was a complete flop and they just butchered Harley and Joker like there was no tomorrow. Me, being a HUGE Joker and Harley fan, was completely disappointed and quiet disgusted with how they decided to portray these amazing characters; they changed them completely.
-
To people who haven't read Harley Quinn comics she probably seemed like the best thing in the movie, but seeing as I read her comics and love her character I just couldn't stand seeing the movie version ... She never really made any jokes that were actually funny or sounded like something she'd ever say, she had quiet a few scenes that were majorly out of character, her voice was not nearly squeaky enough and had a few random high pitched, Boston-y accent sounding times that were just cringey, her look was way different than the actual comic Harley, and she never skipped, used her hammer, and she called Joker, "Puddin'." instead of "Mist'a J." even though the latter is her most used nickname for him and she only calls him Puddin' a few times in the comics.

So, today I decided to make a forum about Harley Quinn ... I know Suicide Squad came out months ago but I've recently been thinking about how they could have gotten a much better actress to play Harley, so I decided to make a list of a few actresses who I think would make a great Harley Quinn. Now, here's a few pictures of Harley in her comic outfits. Most of these pictures were taken from actual comic covers while a few were fan art, but did you notice how all of them had the same re-accruing traits? Harley's big smile, blue eyes, and round face shape. Now, while I was watching Suicide Squad I noticed that their Harley had little resemblance to the actual character ... For instance: her face shape doesn't match, I thought her eyes looked a bit smaller than they should seeing as Harley has Anime like eyes, her smile didn't really match either since it always seemed to be lacking something ... Crazy. Now I know some people say that no one could look exactly like Harley Quinn, but you don't have to get it perfect, just close enough and then add really good acting where it actually seems like the character came to life. So after a few hours I put together a list of actresses I think could be a really good Harley ... I know Kate Upton may not have much acting experience but her face shape is almost identical to Harley's, her face and features would work almost perfectly, but, if she couldn't pull off the act then even the almost perfect resemblance could not make it work well enough; it just depends on whether or not her she could actually act well enough to get the role. I also think Chloe Grace Moretz could possibly pull of being Harley Quinn quiet well. Her face shape is fitting, and her eyes, if enhanced, would work quiet well. She might look a bit young but that just means she'd lean towards the more cartoony side of Harley Quinn which most people love, her acting skills are great and I think she could play Harley very well in a movie. Although Amanda Seyfried may have a slightly narrower face shape then the other two I mentioned above, she does have the big Anime eyes like Harley Quinn and I think she could be a pretty great Harley. Although, this hangs on whether or not her acting is good enough ... I'm really not sure since I've only seen her in a few movies, but if she could pull off the crazy Harley Quinn smile I think she'd work well. Zooey Deschanel was also one the actresses I thought could, possibly, do well as Harley Quinn. Although she doesn't exactly have a round face it's still not really narrow ... Her eyes are rather big and bright which works since Harley's are very big, but it may not work out as well as the others since her nose is a bit bigger than Harleys and I'm not sure if she could really pull off a crazy smile. She'd also have to play a slighter older Harley since her features are a bit different but could possibly fit the more mature looking Harley Quinn art style we see in a few comics. Alexandra Daddario is one of the best actresses who could play Harley Quinn, her face shape is fitting, her smile is perfect for the role, and her body shape would work amazingly. She can act magnificently as well as we can see in the Percy Jackson series, and I think she would have been the best pick for Harley Quinn. So there you have it, the actresses that I think could play a really great Harley Quinn. Do you agree, or have any others you'd like to add to the list? ... Something else I think would be really cool but might not work because of the actresses age and the fact that they want to have someone who can be in movie series for many years is, if they got Tara Strong to play Harley Quinn. I mean, she's voiced Harley in almost every game and even a lot of the cartoon movies so all the fans are used to her voice anyways; She also Cosplayed as Harley Quinn before and looks rather good. The one problem is her age, and at 45 years old she wouldn't be able to play Harley for very long and they'd have to change her out quiet soon anyways ... I just think it'd have been cool for her to have played Harley in an actual live action movie, once.

I love that Levi cosplayer, his outfit's are always so perfect and I quiet enjoy the way he gets his backgrounds to match up so well; I also really love how his cosplay looks quiet realistic and he doesn't go over board with the makeup, I've seen some cosplayers who over do the makeup aspect trying to get it to look more Anime like but the way he uses it he keeps the realistic aspect as well. Here are some of my favorite pictures from the best Levi cosplayer I've ever seen ... Kipi is one of my favorite female cosplayers though, all of her cosplays seem to be on point each time. Here's a few pictures of her cosplays as well.

So, lately I've been fangirling over Season 2 of Attack On Titan starting up and so I started looking at pictures of the characters ... Well, upon browsing through these pictures I had an amazing idea and searched until I found a picture of this amazing thing that needs to happen in Season 2 at least once. So, here is the picture I found that totally made my idea come true. Armin. Needs. To. Wear. A. Ponytail. At. Least. Once. In. The. Next. Season. It's just so fbnirvbguhyvbuvnbing cute!! So kawaii! Beautiful! Amazing! Aaaaaaahhhhhhh!!!! I'm fangirling so much right now, because this. Needs. To. Happen. Do any of you agree? I just absolutely adore Armin and think he looks super cute with this ponytail. ~Ka-wa-ii~

Well actually, I understand what an adaptation is and I knew somethings would be changed for the westernized feel of the live action; I just didn't know so much would be different ... I do however hope that the trailer made it look worse than it actually will be and it turns out to be good in it's own way, I would also like to see the movie but I will keep my expectations low since almost every live action adaption of Anime gets quiet butchered. I see that my rant in the beginning seems to be coming off as overly emotional to some people but I was just trying to get my opinion out there, if you don't agree that's okay. Everyone has their own opinion and I will stand by mine, I do tend to get very into Anime and connect with characters on a major level, so when I see one of my favorite characters being changed I can get upset ... Although, minor changes aren't a big deal if it's needed, I'm just put off by the fact that they seem to have changed L so drastically and in almost every way.
-
No, this is just people expressing their opinions on the trailer how they think the movie will play out ... I may have ranted in the beginning because I tend to do that, but it was not "over emotional" or "hysteric" and was, in fact, just me giving my uncut opinion on the trailer. I understand that all westernized adaptions change things, I understand that technically it will not do anything to the actual Anime, and I understand that this adaption is not made for the actual fans of Death Note, but I just wish that people who won't see the Anime could get a really great Death Note live action so that they could share in the feeling that I had when I watched the Anime ... I'm hoping the movie isn't as bad as I currently think it will be because I want others to see how great Death Note is, however, I myself will still know how much different it is than the actual Anime, and I know making it different doesn't always have to be a bad think, I just hope they can get the feel that the characters originally had.
-
I'm hoping they at least get the "Take a potato chip and eat it!" scene in there as well.
-
Ah, but Anime characters have a special place in their fans hearts.
-
@zoop I will most likely keep up to date on the news regarding the movie and hoping it's not as bad as I expect it to be, if it turns out that it's partially good or even just moderately okay I may watch it too see how western audiences get to view the "Anime" in their own way. I do have some problems with my perfectionism but I'll still probably at least check out a few scenes or so to see how everyone else gets to see it, I don't want to sound like I can't handle any changes I just prefer when a character stays the way they were made ...
-
And that is another thing that would be upsetting ... I'm quiet the perfectionist and majorly so when it comes to Anime, therefor if L is changed and given different "oddities" than the ones his character actually has then it will most likely just upset me.
-
@RepentantSky Yeah okay, maybe it could be a good movie if I hadn't actually seen Death Note ... I know this is made for people who haven't seen Death Note so they won't care but even if it may be okay it's obviously not going to be great. Also, if they had changed minor things to make it more appealing to western audiences I wouldn't have been that upset and probably would have looked forward to it even though most live action adaptions turn out horrible, but they changed so much it's almost impossible for me to even hope that this movie will turn out anywhere near good ... @Etyo I somewhat agree with the video, Ryuk does seem to be the only good character so far and I appreciate that. On the other hand, even if the actor can pull of L's quirks (Which it already seems like he can't because he's wearing shoes and such) then maybe it could be okay, but it's still ramping my OCD up since they changed his race ... White Light is also pretty much just as upsetting but I understand why they might find the need for him to be white since this is for western audiences, I do agree that the actor they got, and how they made him look, does not fit the character of Light in any way imaginable and this is what really upsets me ...
-
1: Just 5? Umm ... L, Light, Levi, Eren, and Armin. 2: Mikasa, Hange, Asuna, Misa, and Sinon. 3: Levi x Hange or Eren x Mikasa ... 4: Eh, don't really have any ... 5: Rem ... 6: Death Note. 7: So many ... Do you want me to list them all?
-
@RepentantSky I understand how Hollywood works with their casting and such but I still have the right to be upset that they're doing this to Death Note, my favorite Anime ... I know it won't really mess with the actual Anime itself but I'm still upset that they couldn't get any closer to having a good movie because I would have loved to see a great live action Death Note movie.
-
My thoughts on this movie are already posted in a forum ... I tend to rant about things when I get upset so it's quiet long, I wouldn't want to waste space on this forum.
-
@Wedgy I understand why they might need to change the names if they're dead set on making it be in Seattle and such, but I'm still upset that they had to change the characters little "ticks" ... I mean, L never wore shoes, was only ever seen in one outfit, and sat very strange, but in this film he's got shoes on, he's seen wearing normal clothes and a mask, (Still don't have any idea what that's for) and (this might just be my perfectionist side talking, but ...) he sat somewhat like L but not exactly, I mean, with L it was majorly implied that he was a germaphobe since he never really touched anything like a normal person, he always held every thing with two fingers, but this "New L" is holding the side of his chair ... It also looks as if they're majorly changing Misa's personality to make her more dark and edgy, I have no idea why they'd mess with cute little Misa because she was already perfect and added the right amount of cute and clumsy to Death Note.
-
@zoop I know most live action Anime movies turn out horrible but I was kind of hoping the latest Death Note one would be at least sort of close to how the show was ... I mean, this is like the 3rd time it's getting turned into live action and the 2 before this were really bad as well. I'm just so upset because it looks like they didn't even try, the cast looks nothing like the actual characters and seeing L wearing shoes was just like, "Did you not watch the show or ... Is that Americanising it?" because I don't get why they can't stick with the original eccentric things that made L, well ... L. I'm also pretty upset about Misa because I absolutely loved her in the show, they could've at least made her blonde. I'm quiet upset with this new Light "Turner" too because it looks as if Light's literally running from the police (Seen running from a police car and climbing a fence in the trailer) but in the show Light was never anywhere close to being seen by the police let alone chased by them because he doesn't need to even be at the site of the crime when it's committed ... Also, that scene kind of makes Light a huge suspect even more so than he was in the show and L already knew or at least was pretty much positive that he was Kira in the show so ... If he was seen at the crime and then starts running away L would figure it out instantly and then where's the whole battle of wits between them?
